Harnaaz Sandhu Reacts To Trolls Who Compare Pageant To Olympics & Say She Won Coz Of ‘Pretty Face’

The sensational Harnaaz Sandhu doesn’t need any introduction as she has become a household name after being crowned as the Miss Universe 2021 in the beauty contest which took place in Eilat, Israel. The 21 years old Punjabi model and actress defeated 79 contestants to get honoured with the title and she has become the 70th Miss Universe. What makes her achievement more special is the fact that after a long wait of 21 years, the title of Miss Universe has come back to India as it was in the year 2000 that Lara Data was crowned as the Miss Universe.

It was quite natural for Harnaaz Sandhu to be showered with love, best wishes and congratulatory messages on social media; however there were few who didn’t seem to be much pleased with her accomplishment or in other words, the crown of a beauty pageant doesn’t hold much importance for them and such people tried to troll Harnaaz by comparing her feat with that of Neeraj Chopra who grabbed Gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics in javelin throw. Just to inform, he is the second Indian sportsperson to win an individual Gold medal in the Olympics, the first being Abhinav Bindra who got it for shooting in the Beijing Olympics.

There had been no reaction from Harnaaz Sandhu on such trolls so far but now during an interaction with a leading daily, she broke silence on the matter. She says that there are many people who are of the opinion that it’s just because of her “pretty face”, she has won the Miss Universe 2021 but it’s not true as only she knows the amount of effort she has put in to achieve this feat. However, she also adds that she will prove her worth with her hard work rather than silencing the haters by arguing with them.

Harnaaz says that she wishes to break the stereotype, adding that her triumph is quite similar to victory in the Olympics. She also questions people that when they can praise a sportsperson for representing the country, why they can’t applaud beauty pageant winners who also make the nation proud with their success. At one fell swoop, she states that there has been a visible change in the mindset of people and she is pleased to be breaking stereotypes already.

Harnaaz Sandhu further says that she wants to pursue career in the field of acting and break stereotype in the movie industry too as she does not wish to be a ‘normal actress’ but the one who is quite influential and breaks stereotypes with her wisdom and selection of strong characters that inspire others.

Some days ago, Harnaaz Sandhu has also reveals that she wishes to be featured in the biopic of international star Priyanka Chopra as PeeCee has always been inspiring her.

We wish Harnaaz Sandhu luck for all her future endeavours!

7 Popular Cricketers Who Have Bowled Both Pace & Spin In International Game

The cricket lovers were in for a big surprise when the England pacer Ollie Robinson bowled spin in the second test match of the Ashes series 2021-22 and soon social media platforms were flooded with reactions. However, this was not the first time that such an incident has taken place as there have been few players who have bowled both pace and spin and here in this article, we are going to tell you about seven such players:

1. Kapil Dev

The former Indian skipper Kapil Dev under whose leadership India won the first World Cup in 1983 is known as one of the finest all-rounders of all times. He is also one of the best pacers of all times but on one instance, he chose to bowl spin in his career. In a match against New Zealand in the year 1985 when the Kiwis needed 22 runs to win on only one ball, Kapil chose to bowl as an off-spinner as there was no chance that India would have lost that match.

2. Manoj Prabhakar

Manoj Prabhakar, the former Indian cricketer, was also an integral part of the Indian cricket team in his playing days. He was an all-rounder who used to bowl as a medium pacer but in a match against Sri Lanka in the World Cup 1996 when the Sri Lankan batters went on rampage, he chose to bowl spin in his next spell. Though this helped him in controlling the situation a little, the damage was already done.

3. Andrew Symonds

The former Aussie cricketer is one of those few cricketers who bowled both pace and spin during their career depending on what the need of the hour was and what suited the best as per the playing conditions.

4. Sachin Tendulkar

The legendary former Indian cricketer was a pretty useful all-rounder and he has bowled both as a pacer and spinner in his cricketing career. For major part of his career, he has bowled as a leg-spinner but in an interview, he stated that earlier he wished to play cricket as a fast bowler.

5. Ben Stokes

The English cricketer bowls medium pace but on one occasion, he chose to bowl off-spin as his team was in trouble. This happened in a test match against Pakistan in which the England bowlers were not able to dismiss the batters especially Shoaib Malik who scored a double century in this match so Ben Stokes thought of trying something new by bowling off-spin.

6. Sohail Tanvir

This Pakistani pacer who has a little unusual bowling action has given many match-winning performances for his country and has also played an important role in Rajasthan Royal’s win in the inaugural edition of the IPL 2008. Though he is quite effective with his pace bowling, in a test match against India in 2007 which was played in Kolkata, he chose to do something new and took to spin bowling.

7. Rohit Sharma

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Rohit Sharma as the skipper of the Indian cricket team in the limited overs format as his track record in the IPL as a skipper is wonderful. Though most of us know him as a batsman, he used to bowl off-spin in his early cricketing days and he has also taken a hattrick in the IPL. During a tour to Australia when the bowler Navdeep Saini had to go off-the-field, Rohit Sharma was given the ball to complete the over and everybody thought that he would bowl off-spin but he chose to bowl medium pace.

Now you know that Ollie Robinson hasn’t done anything special by bowling spin.

One such image is from the times when Katrina Kaif used to promote the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore and in this photo, she is seen is RCB’s jersey but what is catching the attention of viewers is a young boy who is seen sitting behind the “Bharat” actress.

People are quite surprised because the young boy in the photo who is also dressed in the RCB jersey looks quite similar to a famous Indian cricketer of the present times.

Here is the photo, take a look and guess the name of the Indian cricketer:

We hope that you must have recognized him till now but if you hadn’t, let us tell you that he is the famous Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who visited the stadium as an RCB fan at that time.

Jasprit Bumrah made his debut in the IPL in the year 2013 for Mumbai Indians and he is one of the players who have been retained by the Mumbai franchise ahead of the mega-auction for the IPL 2022. The pacer got the chance of making his debut for the country in the limited overs format in the year 2016 but he had to wait a little for making his test debut as he was able to play in the longest format in the year 2018.

Since then, Jasprit Bumrah has not looked back and he has become an integral part of team India. Bumrah is presently in South Africa with the Indian squad which is playing the first test match against South Africa and till date, he has played 24 test matches in which he has taken 101 wickets. “I Found It Difficult To Feel Like A Part Of Industry For 10 Yrs,” Says Shahid Kapoor On Nepotism

The famous Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has given quite a few superb performances till date and his last movie “Kabir Singh” was certainly the biggest hit of his career. Shahid made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with “Ishq Vishk” but his journey in showbiz started even before that because he worked as a background dancer in many films. He took admission in Shiamak Davar’s dance academy when he was just 10 years old which helped him in getting a chance to perform as a background dancer and he also got featured in some advertisements as well as music videos.

Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming movie “Jersey” was earlier slated to release on December 31, 2021, but now its release has been postponed due to increasing COVID-19 cases in the country. In this film, the role of female lead is being played by Mrunal Thakur and Shahid’s father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur is also playing a pivotal role. “Jersey” is a remake of hit Telugu flick of the same name and it is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who also directed the original movie.

During a promotional event, Shahid was asked to comment on his Bollywood journey and how the industry has changed since the time of his entry. In response, he says that nowadays the number of opportunities for newcomers is far more than what it used to be in his times.

As Shahid Kapoor’s father is a famous actor and his mother is also an actress, the talks of nepotism were quite obvious. He said that though he was trying to get work on his own by giving auditions, still people thought of him as the son of a famous actor. Shahid said that for the first ten years, he found it a little difficult to feel as a part of the industry. He further adds that actors have far better chances and opportunities at present than what it was like when he started working in the industry.

While movies like “Kaminey”, “Kabir Singh”, “Udta Punjab”, “Haider”, etc. have proved that Shahid Kapoor can play non-conventional roles to the perfection, films such as “Jab We Met” and “Vivah” have helped him in creating a romantic image for himself and audiences have showered love on him in both the genres.

Stump Mic Caught Virat Kohli Shouting Iconic Phrase Of WWE Star The Rock As Bumrah Returns

The Indian cricket team seems to be in a quite good position against South Africa in the first test match of the 3-match test series which is being played at SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium, Centurion. The toss was won by the visitors and they decided to bat first, the decision was proved correct by the opening batters KL Rahul (123) and Mayank Agarwal (60) as they produced a partnership of 117 runs for the first wicket. India ended the first day with the score of 272/3 but the South African bowlers made a comeback on the second day and wrapped up the Indian team at the score of 327 runs.

The hosts had a pretty bad start to their innings as they lost their skipper Dean Elgar (1) when the score of the team was just 2 runs. Only Temba Bavuma (52) and Quinton de Kock (34) were able to show some resistance to the Indian bowlers before the South African team got all out for 197 runs.

While Mohammed Shami is getting praised for his superb bowling as he took 5 wickets in the 16 overs that he bowled and gave away 44 runs, one more incident took place which cheered up the Indian cricket fans. Needless to say, Virat Kohli is quite a dynamic and energetic personality who likes to keep the atmosphere lively around him.

So on the third day of the match when Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl after a long break as he was off the field because he twisted his ankle, Virat Kohli shouted an iconic phrase of Hollywood actor and WWE wrestler Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock. Virat Kohli was pretty excited as Bumrah returned and his excitement was quite visible as the stump mic caught him saying, “Finally, The Rock has come back”.

The Indian Twitter was flooded with reactions after the Indian test skipper spoke this phrase which was said by The Rock when he returned to WWE after 8 years.

Though the video of Virat Kohli speaking that phrase is not available online as of now, here are some selected reactions from fans:

As far as the match is concerned, India’s lead has increased to 176 runs as India has scored 46 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in its second innings by the time this article was written.

Ambati Rayudu Names Team India’s Best Captain Till Date & You Will Agree With Him

Ambati Rayudu, the veteran Indian cricketer who was a part of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings till the IPL 2021 still hopes to be a part of the Chennai franchise in the future despite not being retained by CSK ahead of the mega-auction.

Recently, Ambati Rayudu answered some questions in an email interaction regarding his hopes for the future and name of the best skipper that India has ever had according to him. He states that he is working on his fitness and though he has had no formal communication with the management of the franchise, he really hopes that he gets bought by the franchise as he wants to play for the next cycle which is of three years. Ambati Rayudu has been associated with CSK since 2018 and he has been a part of two IPL winning CSK teams.

In fact in his opinion, the best skipper that India has ever had is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Ambati Rayudu says that MS Dhoni has such an impact that he got the best out of him and everyone else as well because of which he is the best captain that the Indian cricket team has ever had.

Talking about the disappointing phase of his cricketing career, Ambati Rayudu said that not getting selected in the Indian squad for the 2019 ICC World Cup was heart-breaking for him and his comeback from that phase is dedicated to the Chennai franchise because they helped and supported him to get over from that.

The Indian cricketer Vijay Shankar was preferred over Ambati Rayudu and when the chief selector was questioned about it, he stated that Vijay Shankar has been chosen because he is a three-dimensional player. Ambati Rayudu started a controversy when he made a tweet in which he wrote that he had bought new 3D glasses for watching the World Cup matches.

Ambati Rayudu also announced his retirement from all forms of crickets after this episode but later on when few people from the cricket fraternity talked to him, he decided to take back his decision of retirement.

Let’s see whether CSK picks Ambati Rayudu or his hopes get thrashed.
