Here’s How Much Fee Kapil Dev Charged From The Makers Of “83”

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer movie “83” has released in theatres and as expected, it’s performing pretty well on the box-office. The film depicts story of the Indian cricket team which won the 1983 World Cup under the captaincy of former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev. In the flick, Ranveer Singh has played the role of Kapil Dev while his wife Deepika Padukone has portrayed the character of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev.

As “83” is based on the real life story, the producers had to purchase the rights for making the movie on this subject and they also paid a pretty good amount to the former cricketers to get their side of the story. If reports are to be believed, the producers have paid an amount of Rs. 15 crore to the former Indian cricketers who were a part of the 1983 World Cup winning squad and the biggest part from this amount has been paid to Kapil Dev.

It is being said that the former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev has been paid an amount of Rs. 5 crore to tell his story as he not only led the team in the tournament but also gave some really memorable performances.

Other than Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan directed movie stars Pankaj Tripathi (Team Manager Man Singh), Jiiva (Krishnamachari Srikkanth), Ammy Virk (Balwinder Sandhu), Tahir Raj Bhasin (Sunil Gavaskar), Dhairya Karwa (Ravi Shastri), Chirag Patil (Sandeep Patil), Sahil Khattar (Syed Kirmani), Saqib Saleem (Mohinder Amarnath), R Badree (Sunil Valson), Hardy Sandhu (Madan Lal), Addinath Kothare (Dilip Vengsarkar), Jatin Sarna (Yashpal Sharma), NIshant Dahiya (Roger Binny) and Dinker Sharma (Kirti Azad).

In the 1983 World Cup, the West Indians were the favourites to win the trophy and everyone was quite sure that they would lift the cup for the third time consecutively as they had already won the earlier two World Cups (1975 and 1979) and they were performing pretty well at that time as well. However, the Indian team scripted history by defeating West Indies in the finals and gave the country its first ever cricket World Cup.

Have you watched “83”? If yes, how did you find it? Do share your opinion about it.

This Indian Cricketer Might Replace Virat Kohli As RCB Skipper In IPL 2022

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is most likely to conduct the mega auction for the IPL 2022 in the first week of February for two days in Bengaluru, if everything goes fine. As per reports, this auction may take place in UAE if the cases of Omicron variant of COVID-19 keep on increasing and the situation goes out of control, however as of now BCCI plans to conduct the mega auction in Bengaluru.

Though Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has retained Virat Kohli, the former RCB skipper has made it clear that he won’t be leading the team in the future, however he has also added that he will play only for RCB in the IPL. Finding a new skipper is certainly a tough job for the franchise as they have to search for a suitable candidate for leading the team who can make them win their first ever IPL title which Virat Kohli, who is considered as one of the greatest of all times by his fans, failed to do. Virat has been associated with the franchise since the inaugural edition of 2008 and since 2013, he has been leading the team. Though RCB has reached the finals three times till now, it is still waiting for its first ever trophy in the tournament.

If the reports are to be believed, the Bengaluru franchise has finalized an Indian cricketer as its new skipper for the IPL 2022 and some cricket fans may get surprised after knowing his name.

He is none other than Manish Pandey who presently leads the Karnataka team in the domestic circuits and how we can forget to mention that this right-handed batsman is the first Indian to hit a century in the IPL.

Manish Pandey has played 154 IPL matches in total under different franchises (Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors India (now defunct) and Sunrisers Hyderabad) and has scored 3560 runs with an average of 30.68.

Well nothing can be said with confirmation but do you think Manish Pandey is the right choice for the post of the RCB skipper? Do let us know your opinion.

Hardik Pandya Tells How Cricket Changed His Life & IPL Stopped Him From Working At Petrol Pump

Hardik Pandya is one of the most talented all-rounders of the present times and he has given such superb performances that some cricket fans have even called him next Kapil Dev, the legendary Indian cricketer under whose captaincy the Indian team won its first World Cup in 1983.

However, Hardik Pandya has also attracted some controversies including the one which happened after he appeared in the talk show Koffee With Karan and in the recent times, he has been in the center of controversy due to his fitness. The Gujarat cricketer who has played all his IPL matches for Mumbai Indians hasn’t been retained by the franchise as there is a big question mark on his fitness and his capability to bowl even four overs in a match.

What makes Hardik Pandya different from all other cricketers is the fact that he is pretty honest when he is asked about choosing cricket over other career options. While other cricketers usually say that cricket is their passion and they would not have been able to do anything else in their lives, Hardik clearly says that money is the first priority and he played cricket because he needed money to secure the future of his family.

As per Hardik Pandya, money kept him motivated to play good game and he used to travel in Gujarat for playing local tournament just for few hundred bucks. He left school while he was in class 9 as he was not interested in studies and a big break came in his life when he was noticed by Mumbai Indians scouts while he was taking part in 2013-14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament. While he was signed by the franchise for Rs. 10 lakh in 2015, his latest IPL fee was Rs. 11 crore.

Hardik Pandya states that if cricket had not been so lucrative as it is at the moment, he would have preferred to work at the petrol pump because his first priority is his family.

Hardik Pandya also gets slammed for his lavish lifestyle and there are many who say that there should not be this much money in cricket. Pandya’s answer to such people is that money is good and he is the best example to prove this as he would have been working on petrol pump but money changed his life completely.

Well, money is a very important part of our lives and no one can deny that. Agree?

Gurgaon Woman Shares Her Horrible Experience During An Auto Ride In A Viral Twitter Thread

There is no denying the fact that women’s safety is of utmost priority for the government and many steps have been taken by the government in this regard but still some incidents take place which indicate that a lot still needs to be done in this matter.

Representational Image

Recently, a woman took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and narrated a horrible incident which took place with her and how she dealt with the risk of getting kidnapped. The name of the woman is Nishtha Paliwal who is from Gurgaon, Haryana and in a series of tweets, she narrated the whole incident which took place in Sec 22 of Gurgaon.

Nishtha who is a communications specialist as per her profile wrote that at around 12:30 pm, she boarded an autorickshaw from Sec 22 which is just 7 mins away from her home. She wrote that she told the driver who was listening to spiritual music that she would pay online as she was out of cash with which he had no problem.

Nishtha further wrote that they reached a T point from where the driver should have taken right to reach her home but the driver took left and when she asked him about it, instead of answering he started shouting the God’s name in loud voice. Nishtha also questioned him a loud voice and patted on his left shoulder at least 8-10 times but he didn’t respond and increase the speed which was around 35-40 km/h at that time.

She was not able to think what to do other than jumping from the moving auto which was quite risky but she told herself that it’s better to get your bones broken rather than getting kidnapped. Nishtha jumped out of the moving auto and in one of the tweets, she wrote that she had no idea from where she got that much courage but luckily she did not suffer any injury.

Here are the tweets which were made by Nishtha:

She has also informed her followers that she has registered an FIR in Palam Vihar station, Gurgaon, and Jitender Yadav, a police official, has assured her that they will trace the driver. However as Nishtha hasn’t noted down the number of the auto, police will need to use CCTV footages to catch the driver.

We request our readers to be careful and alert and don’t forget to note down the number of the autorickshaw and cab which they board for their own safety.

More power to you Nishtha Paliwal and all other such who show courage to fight for them and deal with an odd situation rather than giving up which may lead to any mishap.
