Sourav Ganguly & Sunil Gavaskar Open Up On Virat Kohli’s Decision To Quit T20 Captaincy

The Indian cricket team is all set to start its T20 World Cup campaign with the first match against Pakistan which will be played tomorrow at Dubai International Stadium. This T20 World Cup is more important for fans of Virat Kohli as the skipper has already made the announcement that he will quit the T20 captaincy after this tournament which means it will be his last T20 tournament as a skipper and his fans are pretty eager to see him holding the trophy as the captain.

Virat Kohli has also quit the captaincy of his IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore after the IPL 2021 and this time also, he was not able to lift the IPL trophy. While Virat Kohli has been associated with RCB since 2008 inaugural edition, he started leading the team since 2013 but RCB hasn’t won an IPL title even once.

There is no denying the fact that the Indian squad has performed well under the leadership of Virat Kohli but it is also true that the team hasn’t won any ICC trophy in his captaincy. Virat cited the reason of increasing workload behind his decision of quitting captaincy and recently the President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly opened up on this matter in an interview.

Sourav Ganguly made it clear that there was no pressure from the board on Virat Kohli and leaving captaincy was completely his own decision. In fact, Dada added that he was surprised with this decision of Kohli and at the same time, he also clarified that neither anyone from the board talked to him nor pressurize him for leaving the captaincy. The former Indian skipper further says that he will not pressurize any player because he himself has been a player and understands their condition in quite a good manner.

Sourav Ganguly further tries to explain why he feels Virat Kohli has taken this decision. As per him, nowadays many games are played and it is really difficult to lead in all the formats for a long time and he himself understands that because he has also led the team. Ganguly further says that it does look great from outside that a person is leading the national team but internally a player has to go through a lot mentally and it is not just about Virat, Dhoni or Ganguly but the future skippers will also face the same situation.

Talking about Virat Kohli’s poor form, Sourav Ganguly says that when a player plays for a long time, it is quite normal that he goes through a rough patch. He adds that Virat Kohli is also a human and not a machine that scores runs at its will. Ganguly said that Virat’s graph was up, it may be down now but it will go up again and people will once again see old Kohli.

Ganguly also talked about Dhoni’s inclusion as the mentor, he said that he had a long discussion with secretary Jay Shah and they decided to bring MSD on board for the T20 World Cup only as he is still playing competitive cricket. Sourav Ganguly is of the opinion that having MSD in the Indian camp will certainly be good for the team as he has won 3 ICC trophies.

Talking about the possibility of clash because of so many seniors in the dressing room, Sourav Ganguly says that it is Ravi Shastri, the head coach who is the incharge and MSD clearly knows his limits so there is going to be no problem. Dada also talked about Rahul Dravid’s visit to Dubai and said that he came to meet them in order to discuss important things regarding National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru. In response to Rahul Dravid’s chances of joining the Indian team as the head coach after Ravi Shastri’s tenure gets over, Ganguly said that last time when he was asked about it, Dravid replied in negative, let’s see whether he would apply this time or not.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram appeared in a TV show and they also talked about Virat Kohli’s decision of leaving the T20 captaincy. According to Wasim Akram, Kohli must have felt that it is the right time for him to hand over the captaincy to someone else so that he can play his shots without any pressure. Wasim Akram adds that whenever Virat Kohli will come in this mode, it will be impossible for anyone to stop him.

Sunil Gavaskar is also of the same opinion as he says that a skipper has some other duties as well to perform and he also has to take care of other players; for example, lifting up the motivation level of those who are in poor form but sometimes this may have a negative effect on the skipper’s form. He adds that quitting captaincy will certainly give him more time to focus on his game and make big scores.

Kerala Man Ordered iPhone 12 Worth Rs 70,900 On Amazon, Got Vim Bar & Rs 5 Coin Instead

Online shopping has become quite common nowadays, while it has made shopping very convenient for us, another factor for online shopping gaining prominence is the fact that the prices of goods offered online are less in comparison to the prices that are offered in the shops and showrooms.

However with online shopping getting more fame, fraudsters are also coming up with new ways to cheat people. Recently a person from Kerala got the rude shock of his life when he received a Vim bar (dish wash) and Rs. 5 coin in place of an Apple iPhone 12 which he ordered online.

The name of the person is Noorul Ameen and he is from Aluva, he ordered Apple iPhone 12 on October 12 from the ecommerce giant Amazon and made the payment of Rs. 70,900 using Amazon Pay Card. When he received the order on October 15, Noorul decided to make a video of unboxing in the presence of the delivery boy and he was shocked to see that instead of iPhone 12, the box contained a Vim bar with a Rs. 5 coin.

He immediately reported the matter to the Cyber Police Station and as the police started investigating using the IMEI number given on the cover of the phone, it was revealed that the phone which was ordered by Noorul is being used by someone in Jharkhand since September despite the fact that the order was made in October.

The investigating officer stated that they contacted both the Amazon authorities as well as the vendor who is based in Telangana. The seller informed that the phone was out of stock and he assured that Noorul would be given refund of his amount.

Although Noorul Ameen has received his refund, this is a warning for all of us that we should also make unboxing videos whenever we receive any online order especially when it comes to something of a very high price.

70-Yr Gujarat Woman Becomes Mother For The First Time Through IVF, Delivers Healthy Baby

Almost every woman of the world dreams of becoming a mother but not everyone is fortunate enough to see their dream turn into reality. Usually it is being said that motherhood after the age of 50 is very difficult and after some more years, it is next to impossible for a woman to have healthy pregnancy but a woman from Gujarat has proved all these things wrong by becoming a mother at an age of 70.

Jivuben Rabari and her 75 years old husband Valjibhai Rabari who hail from Kutch have become parents to a healthy son a month ago and they have named him as Lalo. The baby has been delivered by Caesarean section and Jivuben Rabari is very happy after becoming mother for the first time. The couple has been married for 45 years and after remaining unsuccessful for decades to attain parenthood, the Gujarat couple finally succeeded through In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).

Though doctors tried convincing the woman against getting pregnant, Jivuben Rabari’s courage and her emotions defeated all the problems and even motivated the doctors to go ahead with the process. Though she has no documents to prove her age, she has told the doctors that she has experienced 65-70 summers.

Talking about the whole process, Gynecologist Dr. Naresh Bhanushali said that first of all they made Jivuben’s menstrual cycle regular by using oral medicines and then they expanded her uterus which got shrink due to the effect of age. He further said that the eggs were fertilized, blastocyst was created and then placed in uterus.

Sonography was carried out after two weeks and the doctors were quite surprised to see the foetus developing. The monitoring was done regularly and as the heartbeat came on time and there was no deformity, the doctors continued with the pregnancy.

Congratulations to the couple for finally seeing her dream turn into reality!

Irfan Pathan Talks About Huge Difference Between Teams Of T20 World Cup 2007 & WC2021

The Indian cricket team is being considered as one of the favourites for winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and it is not just the Indian cricket fans who are having this opinion but the legendary former Aussie cricketer Shane Warne has also taken India’s name in one of his favourites. It is quite obvious that the expectations are quite high from this team and things may work against the Indian squad if they get affected with the pressure of these expectations.

The former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan was a part of team India which won the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup in South Africa. Recently, he took part in a TV show in which he recalled the times of 2007 and told how it was different from the present times.

Irfan Pathan stated that nobody had any expectations from them when they went to play the T20 World Cup because at that time, they didn’t have any experience of T20 cricket but the present Indian team is pretty much experienced as far as T20 cricket is concerned so a lot is expected from them. Dinesh Karthik Has A Hilarious Take On Ranveer-Deepika Reportedly Bidding For New IPL Team

The IPL 2022 will be bigger and better than the tournament’s previous seasons as two new teams will be added next year which will take up the count of teams to 10 which means there will be more matches, more thrill and more excitement. The mega auction is also scheduled next year and it will be interesting to see which players are retained by the respective teams as the teams are permitted to retain only three Indian players and one foreign player.

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) extended the deadline for bidding till October 20 and the bidding process will take place on October 25 in Dubai. While Manchester United, the premier league club, is said to be one of the front-runners, there is news that Bollywood actors and one of the most loved couples of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are also running in the race for owning a new team.

The association between the IPL and Bollywood is nothing new as Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Preity Zinta have been associated with the IPL teams Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings (earlier Kings XI Punjab) since the inaugural edition of 2008.

Earlier, the BCCI has shortlisted six cities – Lucknow, Ranchi, Cuttack, Ahmedabad, Guwahati and Ranchi and as per the reports, Lucknow and Ahmedabad are said to be ahead of other cities.

Desi Twitter Had A Field Day As Rapper Kanye West Officially Changed His Name To ‘Ye’

We all must have filled some forms in life in which there are separate rows for first name, middle name if any and last name which is the surname of the person and this is done specifically for the purpose of noting down a person’s details in a proper manner. It is a common perception that almost every person has a first name and a last name at least but the American rapper Kanye West chose to change his name and he struck off his last name completely.

Yes, you read it right! Kanye West has changed his name and now he will be known as “Ye” with no last name as he dropped his surname West. The rapper filed an application regarding name change in August and on Monday, Judge Michelle Williams granted him the permission to change his name in the California courthouse.

Kanye West wanted to change his name for a long time which is understandable from the tweet that he made in 2018.

He wrote,

“The being formally known as Kanye West  

I am YE”

However, Kanye West’s wife Kim Kardashian West has not dropped the West surname and four kids of the couple – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm will also use the surname West.
