“Maxwell Has Talent But Doesn’t Use Brain, He Takes $2M A Year But Does Nothing,” Says Sehwag

On Sunday, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore made a comeback in the second leg of the IPL 2021 after getting defeated in two matches of the league as it defeated Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians by 54 runs in the game which was played at the Dubai International Stadium.

The toss was won by the five times champion MI and it decided to bowl first. Though the start of RCB was not good as it lost opener Devdutt Padikkal quite early and he was not able to open his account, Virat Kohli (51) along with Srikar Bharat (32) stabilized the innings. However the highlight of the RCB innings was the batting of Glenn Maxwell who scored 56 runs in 37 balls and his innings included 6 fours and 3 sixes. RCB gave a target of 166 to MI but despite getting a good start, MI could not carry on the momentum and the whole team got out for jus 111 in 18.1 overs.

Other than openers Rohit Sharma (43) and Quinton De Kock (24), no other batsman of MI was even able to touch the double digit mark. For RCB, Harshal Patel took 4 wickets, Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets and the Player of the Match Glenn Maxwell took 2 wickets.

Recently the former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag talks about Glenn Maxwell and how he plays. Viru says that Glenn Maxwell is certainly very talented but sometimes he doesn’t use his brain properly. Sehwag added that in the match against MI, Maxwell used his brain because of which he was able to score runs. Virender Sehwag makes it clear that he is not against Maxwell but he is against his style of playing the game as the former Indian cricketer opines that Maxwell doesn’t apply himself according to the situation of the match.

As per Virender Sehwag, Maxwell has a lot of talent but he should his brain and score runs for the franchise which he plays for as he gets paid almost 2 million dollars every year but he does nothing.

Hopefully, the Australian all-rounder will listen to the words spoken by Multan Ka Sultan and improve his performance in every IPL match. RCB’s next match is on September 29 against Rajasthan Royals which is on the 6th position in the points table with 4 wins and 5 losses in the 9 matches that it has played till now.

Virat Kohli & Dhoni’s Bromance During CSKvsRCB Takes Twitter By Storm, Fans Can’t Stop Talking

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings is now at the top position in the IPL points table as it has won 7 out of 9 matches that it has played till now. CSK’s last match was against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore which was played yesterday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The match was won by CSK by 6 wickets with 11 balls remaining, however what grabbed more attention than the match was the bromance between Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.

There is no denying the fact that Mahi and Virat share a great bond and they both respect each other a lot as well. These two have played together for a long time for the country and when the yesterday’s match got delayed due to the sandstorm, both the players were seen having a jovial chat and later after the match, Virat Kohli went towards MS Dhoni and gave him a hug.

This was the second match which RCB lost in the second leg of the IPL 2021 despite the fact that they had a great start as openers Virat Kohli (53) and Devdutt Padikkal (70) produced a 111-run partnership for the first wicket. No other RCB batsman was able to score runs freely against the CSK bowlers and as a result, the innings of the Bangalore franchise ended at 156/6 in their 20 overs.

In response, CSK also had a solid start as the openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) and Faf du Plessis (31) played sensibly and made 71 runs together for the first wicket and then Moeen Ali (23) and Ambati Rayudu (32) also made useful contributions before getting out. Suresh Raina (17*) and MS Dhoni (11*) finished the match as CSK chased the target successfully with 11 balls remaining in their innings.

This is the last IPL of Virat Kohli as the skipper as he has already announced that he will leave captaincy of RCB after the IPL 2021. MS Dhoni will be with the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup as he has been appointed as the mentor of the team by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Both RCB and CSK will play their next match on Sept 26, while CSK will face Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB is going to clash against the five time champions Mumbai Indians.

KKR’s Venkatesh Iyer Revealed The Name Of Cricketer Who Played An Important Role In His Life

Kolkata Knight Riders seems to be a completely different team in the second leg of the IPL 2021 in comparison to the first leg of the tournament as it not only defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians but the win was quite comfortable as well. What has surprised everyone a little is that KKR didn’t perform well in the first leg as it won only 2 matches out of 7 but now it defeated RCB which was in the top three in the first leg while MI is 5 times champion.

Venkatesh Iyer, the Indian cricketer who plays for Madhya Pradesh in the domestic circuits, deserves a lot of praise for playing an important role in this transformation of KKR. In his IPL debut match against RCB, Venkatesh Iyer scored 41 not out (27) whereas against MI, he scored a half-century for which he played only 30 deliveries and helped his team in attaining victory in both the matches.

Iyer revealed that he is a big fan of Dada just like many others and as he was the first skipper of the franchise, he (Iyer) always wished to be a part of KKR. Venkatesh Iyer said that when KKR bought him, it was like a dream come true moment for him and he further talked about the big influence that Sourav Ganguly made in Iyer’s life indirectly.

Iyer further said that when he was young, he was a right-handed batsman but he changed his batting style to left-handed as he wanted to replicate Dada’s style, the manner in which he played shots and hit sixes. He adds that he is really grateful to Sourav Ganguly for playing an important role in his career.

The KKR cricketer is also a big fan of Southern superstar Rajinikanth and told that when he was staying in Indore, he visited Chennai just to watch Rajinikanth’s movie in the theater. How much he loves and adores Rajinikanth can be understood by the fact that if he is able to meet the superstar, that day will certainly be the biggest moment of his life.

The hopes are pretty high from Venkatesh Iyer now and KKR has climbed up on the fourth spot after two wins in the second league.
