Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian pacer who is an integral part of the Indian cricket team, plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL and it won’t be wrong to say that his superb performances in the league have helped him in gaining a spot in the national team. Recently while chatting with the Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik on a show, Bumrah revealed how he was selected for Mumbai Indians.

Jasprit Bumrah told that he was selected in the T20 team of Gujarat for the domestic T20 competition and his second game was against Mumbai. The talent scout of MI, John Wright came to watch that match for Akshar and though Bumrah didn’t take many wickets in that match, he really bowled well, took one wicket and didn’t concede many runs.

Jasprit Bumrah told that John Wright came to watch one more match and inquired about him which Bumrah got to know by the former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel. At that time, Bumrah thought that Parthiv Patel was making fun of him but after some time, he got a call from Mumbai Indians asking whether he was interested in playing for them. Jasprit Bumrah who was very happy responded by saying that of course he was interested but at the same time he asked if MI was interesting in including him in the team.

Jasprit Bumrah also states that he is still in touch with the Sri Lankan cricketer who has helped him a lot by teaching many things that have proved to be of great help in the international level.

The second leg of the IPL 2021 is all set to start from September 19 in UAE and it will be interesting to see whether MI will be able to win the title for the sixth time or not.

Michael Vaughan Reveals A Quality Which Is Similar Between Cheteshwar Pujara & Inzamam-ul-Haq

The fourth test match of the 5-match test series between India and England is in an interesting position now as the Indian team has batted pretty well in their second innings and given a target of 368 runs to the hosts. At the end of the day 4, England had scored 77 runs without losing any wicket as their openers Rory Joseph Burns (31) and Haseeb Hameed (43) batted sensibly and did not give a chance to the Indian bowlers to take a wicket. On the 5th day, England needs to make 291 runs in 90 overs to win the match which doesn’t seem to be very difficult as they have all the wickets in hand.

Talking about the Indian batting in the second innings, it was Rohit Sharma who stole the show by scoring a century (127) and it won’t be wrong to say that it was a collective team effort because of which the Indian team managed to put up a good score of 466 on the board.

The good thing was that senior Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara also got his form back as he scored 61 runs and was a part of 153 runs partnership for the third wicket. However while batting, Pujara got his ankle injured and the medical team had to come to the ground to help him. Fortunately, the Indian test specialist was fine as his ankle was taped and he batted after that without showing any signs of pain.

The former England cricketer Michael Vaughan also watched the whole incident closely and during a show, he talked about the characteristic of Pujara which makes him pretty similar to the former Pakistani cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq. Michael Vaughan states that he knows Pujara from the time he used to play for Yorkshire and he is a little bit like him (Vaughan). Michael Vaughan also says that he is sure fielding doesn’t come high in his priorities and he will certainly like to stay away from the field rather than increasing the chances of injury in his ankle which has been heavily taped. Vaughan adds that there have been few who used to be like this and the former Pakistani skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq is also one of them.

Michael Vaughan is also not happy with the manner in which the England bowlers have bowled in India’s second innings and he is surprised by the fact that they have not bowled much bouncers and short balls to the Indian batters.

What do you think of Michael Vaughan’s opinion? Do let us know.

Guy Tweets His Samosas Have Serial Numbers Embedded On Them, Leaves Twitter Talking

Samosas are one of the most loved snacks in India, especially in North India, and we can have them at any time in the day, whether in the breakfast or with the evening tea because we just love samosas and can never have enough of them.

Representational Image

Though the main filling inside the samosa is of cooked potatoes, some vendors also put dry fruits, pea or a piece of paneer inside the samosa with the main filling to increase its taste. While few vendors serve the piping hot samosas with chutney, several others serve it with chola (peas) and there are also some who give fried chilli with it.

However, one Twitter user Nitin Misra got the rude shock of his life when the samosas he ordered from Samosa Party, Gurgaon, Haryana, came with serial numbers embedded on them. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and asked the technical guy to stay away from his halwai.

His tweet read, “Samosas I ordered had serial numbers, Can tech pls stay away from my halwai.”

Soon the online users who are also samosa lovers started expressing their disbelief over the sale of samosas with serial numbers. While some said it may be the QR code for downloading the chutney, several others stated that it is done by the government to track what everyone is eating.

He says that he has played in the Indian Premier League for a long time and has some great memories to cherish such as running to catch the bus, leaving practice, getting mobbed by public on arriving at airport, etc. He adds that cricket is cricket and a player can have the feeling of playing competitive cricket in club cricket as well but in India, it is people who make cricket amazing and different from other leagues.

Shardul Thakur Speaks On His Legendary Nickname ‘Lord’ After Scoring Fastest 50 In 4th Test

The Indian batting line-up which is considered as one of the strongest in the world performed poorly once again in the fourth test math as the whole team managed to put a meager score of 191 on the board. The only two Indian batsmen who gave some resistance to the English bowlers were Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Shadul Thakur, while the former played a gritty and patient innings and scored a fifty, the latter was quite aggressive in his approach and scored quick 57 runs for which he faced only 36 balls and his innings included 7 fours and 3 sixes.

Shardul Thakur garnered a lot of love and affection for his superb knock from cricket fans and his teammates. Now he holds the record of scoring the fastest fifty by any batsman in England and for the same, some cricket fans gave him the nickname “Lord”.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video of Shardul Thakur with the caption, “@imShard is happy with the love he’s getting from his teammates & not to forget some legendary nicknames ‘Tula maanla re’ Shardul 😃 #TeamIndia #ENGvIND”.

In the video, Shardul Thakur says that he thinks Lord is a meme which has got created on the social media networks and only two names are his nicknames. Thakur adds that he is very happy after receiving lots of love from his teammates as well as cricket fans and they are calling him by nicknames.

“Gilchrist Was Outright Match-Winner & Rishabh Pant Is Not Even Half Of Him,” Says Salman Butt

The young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is certainly a very talented cricketer and he has played some really great innings in the past, especially against the Australian and England teams, but in the ongoing 5-match test series, he is finding it tough to make big scores. Pant is known for his aggressive style of batting and many times cricket fans have compared him with the former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist who can easily be called one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batsmen of all times.

However, the former Pakistani cricketer Salman Butt feels otherwise as he has said on his YouTube channel that comparing legendry Adam Gilchrist with Rishabh Pant is not justified in view of the fact that the former is a world-class player while the latter has been playing international cricket for just 2-3 years. Salman Butt adds that Gilly was a match winner and he played against world-class bowlers while there are only few top-class bowlers in the present times and Rishabh Pant has played only few good knocks in his career.

According to Salman Butt, Gilchrist has been a magnificent cricketer while Pant is not even half in comparison to the former Australian cricketer. However, Salman Butt also states that Rishabh Pant needs to bring some mental adjustments and few changes in his technique and he also needs to take some time to settle on the crease before playing big shots. Butt further says that Pant doesn’t have a plan B which is very much important in England.

As of now, the 5-match test series between India and England is leveled at 1-1 and till the time this article was written, England took a lead of 36 runs as their score is 227/7 with Ollie Pope (74) and Chris Woakes (4) on the crease.

Sehwag Picks Better Captain Between Sourav Ganguly & MS Dhoni & Reveals Reason Of His Choice

Many times we have seen that comparisons are drawn between the two players or skippers such as between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly, etc. Well, the former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag who was known for his destructive batting style during his playing days is pretty clear about who is better among MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly as a captain in his opinion.

While speaking on a YouTube show “13 Jawab Nahi” which is hosted by RJ Raunak, Viru paaji says that they both are great if we talk about captaincy but Sourav Ganguly is the best of the two as it is he who has built the team from the scratch, brought new players in the team, made a new unit and taught everyone to win matches overseas. Sehwag added that under Ganguly’s captaincy, the Indian team drew some test matches overseas while also attained victory in several others.

As per Viru, MS Dhoni was quite lucky in a sense that he got the chance to lead which was built and nurtured by Sourav Ganguly.

Talking about his favourite ground in India, Sehwag says that he loves Mohali because whenever he stepped on that ground, he got the feeling that he would certainly score runs over there. Sehwag also reveals that one more reason for loving Mohali is that there are huge sofas so one can relax on them even if he gets out. He also talks about his favourite ground abroad which is Melbourne as he likes the food over there and experiences the same feeling of scoring runs for sure as he steps on the field.

Virender Sehwag played 104 test matches, 251 ODIs and 19 T20Is in which he scored 8586, 8273 and 394 runs, respectively. Moreover, the Nawab of Najafgarh scored 38 centuries and 72 fifties in his international career. He also played 104 IPL matches in which he scored 2728 runs.

Do you agree with Virender Sehwag that Sourav Ganguly is better when it comes to comparing him with MS Dhoni? What are your views in this regard? Let us know.
