This Fashion Brand Is Selling Shopping Bags Resembling Pishwi For Rs 1.5 Lakhs, Netizens Go WTF

Plastic bags have been banned in almost all the states of the country and most of us have started carrying carry bags made of cloth or any other material for shopping purposes. Such carry bags we can either stitch at home or buy from market by paying Rs. 100-200 but you will be shocked to know that a Fashion brand has come up with shopping bags worth $2000 which comes to approx Rs. 1.5 lakhs.

Balenciaga, a fashion brand, which deals in bags along with shoes, T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. has released shopping bags that are quite similar to Pishwi (a bag which is quite common in Maharashtrian households).

The Indian online users were quick to draw comparisons between the bags launched by Balenciaga and the bags used by the Indians.

This is not the first time that we are seeing a fashion brand selling things used by the Indians at exorbitant prices. Earlier we came across a foreign brand selling lungi (Indian men wear), khatiya/charpai (single bed made by weaving rope) and so on at huge prices which certainly left us in a state of shock and surprise.

What is your take in this regard and what advice you will give to those who are ready to spend so much on these shopping bags?

Prabhas Gets Trolled For His Weight & People Call Him Uncle, Fans Come To His Rescue

There is no denying the fact that looks matter a lot in the glamour industry and actors, models, etc. are under huge pressure to look cool and smart even when they are not shooting. In India, trolling celebrities is quite common whether it is because of any statement that they have made, in regard to their work or it may be related to their dressing sense and appearance and the latest target of the troll gang is actor Prabhas.

Prabhas became a household name all over India after the release of his movie “Baahubali” which was truly a magnum opus directed by SS Rajamouli and starred some big names of the southern movie industry such as Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia and others. “Baahubali” series had two parts and both of them were very big hits.

Recently, Prabhas was seen in Mumbai with his “Adipurush” co-star Kriti Sanon. They both got clicked while they were inside the car and Prabhas looked quite different from how we have seen him on the screen. The actor appeared to be a little chubby which gave enough fodder to trollers to fat-shame him and say nasty things about the “Saaho” star.

While there were many who made fun of Prabhas, some fans took a stand for him and tried to educate people in regard to the fact that he is also a human being and may have gained some weight. Some also stated that he has undergone a leg surgery recently and his increased weight is the result of the medicines that he had to take while few others pointed out the essential fact that he is doing continuous work because of which he might have got tired and the same is clearly apparent in his looks.

Prabhas will be seen next in “Adipurush”, the movie is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana and Prabhas is going to play the lead role of Lord Ram while Kriti Sanon has been casted for the role of his wife Sita. The movie is being directed by Om Raut and the role of Ravana will be played by Saif Ali Khan.

Fat-shaming a person is really not cool and people should make an attempt to understand the real reason behind something instead of just spreading filth with their nasty comments on the social media. What do you say?

Angry Fan Slams ECB By Flying Airplane With Banner “Sack ECB & Save Test Cricket” Over Headingley

The cricket boards are coming up with various new ideas in order to make cricket more popular among public in their country such as bringing new formats or adding new rules in the game. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) also came up with a new format The Hundred and it won’t be wrong to say that the board is quite ambitious about it as it did not hesitate in taking some steps which disrupted not just the County Championship 2021 but the T20 Blast as well.

Many former English cricketers such as Kevin Pietersen, etc. have openly expressed their disappointment as they feel that the problems faced by the English cricket team are a result of the reduction in importance of the County Championship and increasing interest in shorter formats. Some former cricketers and cricket fans even questioned the need of the new format The Hundred in which 100 balls are bowled in one innings.

The Hundred Men’s and Women’s tournament took place at the same time along with the County Championship which affected the white ball cricket in a big manner as many cricketers chose to play for the shorter format. It also affected the T20 Blast which was being played at the same time and sometimes the teams had to play twice on one day.

Though the new format was liked by public and it garnered enough praises, there were many who were not happy with the ECB as it had no problem in disturbing the schedule of the domestic cricket in order to organize The Hundred.

One such unhappy cricket fan slammed the cricket board by flying the banner, “Sack the ECB & Save Test Cricket” in air by attaching it with an airplane which flew over the Headingley Cricket Ground during the third test match.

Check out the pics:

Here’s Why English Batsmen Did Not Wear Caps On The Bowling Of Spinners As Virat Kohli Did

The top order of the Indian cricket team has batted pretty well till now in their second innings of the third test match which is being played at Headingley Cricket Ground as at the end of the day 3, India’s score was 215/2 and it was trailing by 130 runs. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli (45) is at the crease with Cheteshwar Pujara who is 9 runs far from touching the three digit mark.

In the first innings, India was able to score only 78 runs and wasted the advantage of winning the toss but the English batsmen made sure that they put up a huge score on the board as they made 432 runs with the help of the skipper Joe Root’s century.

Still two days are remaining in the test match and hopefully we are going to witness some great test cricket in the next two days. The game of day three was brought to an end by the umpires due to bad light and before that, England bowled around last 10 overs by spinners from both sides as the umpires stated that light was not suitable for the batsmen to play against the pacers.

However when the spinners were brought for bowling from both the ends, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli replaced helmet with cap but we have never seen any English batsman sporting a cap even against the spinners.

There is a reason behind the English cricketers not wearing cap while batting which was revealed by a sports reporter Elizabeth Ammon. She took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and revealed, “To answer the question why Kohli can bat in a cap but England players aren’t allowed to….. the ECB head protection regs state that anyone playing professional or pathway cricket must wear a helmet to bat in. Even against a spinner.”

The England and Wales Cricket Board head protection regulations make it mandatory for the professional batsmen to wear a helmet while batting even against the spinners because a batsman can get hit on head even by the throw of a fielder so it is better to always wear a helmet while batting.

“He Treated Me As His Kid Off-Screen Too,” Mohd. Samad Opens Up On Playing SSR’s Son In Chhichhore

“Chhichhore” will always be remembered as one of the best movies of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and it won’t be wrong to say that not only SSR but the other actors also left no stone unturned in getting under the skin of their characters. In this movie, Mohammad Samad played the character of Sushant Singh Rajput’s son and recently he opened up about his latest project and his experience of working with SSR. He has worked in some other movies as well such as “Gattu”, “Haramkhor”, “Tumbbad”, etc.

Presently, Mohammad Samad is playing the character of young Sai Baba, a religious guru, in a web series Sabka Sai which is being streamed on a digital platform. On being asked as to how he got the role of Young Sai, Samad said that the director of the series Ajit Bhairavkar asked him to try for the role, handed over him the script and told him to come prepared the next day. Samad gave audition which was liked by all and he got selected for the role.

On the question of preparing for the role, Samad said that Ajit told him to watch movies and serials based on Sai Baba and also asked him to read books on Sai Baba. Mohammad Samad added that shooting started before the pandemic and he also planned to visit Shirdi after filming a shot or two but since lockdown was imposed, he was not able to make a visit to the religious place. After that, Samad watched videos on YouTube related to Dwarkamai and other places related to Sai Baba.

When Samad was asked whether he had any apprehensions while taking this role as many times religious serials are accused of hurting religious sentiments, he said that he had no apprehensions as Sai Baba taught his whole life that there is only one God and it is us who have different perspectives.

Mohammad Samad revealed that when he was offered the role for “Chhichhore”, he was offered some other projects at the same time such as “Kota Factory”, “Mardaani 2”, “Bala” and “Pati Patni aur Woh” but he chose “Chhichhore” because the cast was big and he wanted to work with Nitesh Tiwari from the days of “Bhootnath Returns”. Samad said that he also auditioned for “Bhootnath Returns” and he was among the top 5 shortlisted kids but he was not able to speak in typical Dharavi language because of which he didn’t get the role.

Talking about his experience of working with Sushant Singh Rajput in “Chhichhore”, Mohammad Samad said that the former used to treat him as his off-screen son too. He also added that Sushant not only used to share his own problems on the set but he also helped in solving issues of other people. The actor further stated that during the ICU scene when many tubes were attached to him and his one eye used to remain close, Sushant used to take care of him, ensuring that he was not feeling uneasy and also used to make energy drinks for Samad.

Have you watched the trailer of Mohammad Samad’s latest show Sabka Sai?

Hyderabad’s Indira Park Faces Outrage For Not Allowing Unmarried Couples Inside The Park

There is no denying the fact that public places such as parks, recreational spots, etc. should be taken care of in a proper manner and those who make them dirty or destroy the property should either be punished or restricted from entering.

Representational Image

In the modern times, parks have a special importance in our lives as the greenery is getting replaced by the concrete jungles and parks are among the only few places where one can spend some time in natural surroundings. However, sometimes the leisure time of public is destroyed by the acts of the moral police as they don’t like unmarried couples spending time together in parks and there are some who even don’t like to see kids or youngsters playing games inside parks.

Recently, comedian-writer Varun Grover took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to share a photo which shows a notice being hanged in front of a park in which it is clearly written that unmarried couples are not allowed in the park. We are talking about Indira Park which is in Hyderabad and quick surprisingly, the park management has also prohibited people from taking any sports item such as football, shuttle, volleyball, etc. inside the park.

Soon people started reacting on this matter and while many slammed the park authorities, some made fun of the order by asking whether they should carry marriage certificates along with them or the singles should get married for visiting the park, and the funniest being whether couple needs to be married to each other.

After facing the backlash and criticism, the authorities removed the banners and asked local cops to keep a check on it by paying visits on a regular basis.

Do you also have a park in your city where such restrictions are imposed? Let us know about it.

Are Mutual Funds A Good Investment?

Mutual funds have been a popular form of investment for decades. Obviously, there is no single type of mutual fund today, and they are offered in a multitude of variations. Yes, it can be a bit overwhelming for an investor to know if a mutual fund is a right choice. So you might want to take a few keynotes before you begin with your investment in mutual funds.

Firstly, the key to the beginning is to know what a mutual fund is.

What is a mutual fund?

Understanding what a mutual fund is might be like brushing up on your basics. Did you know there are around 8,000 mutual funds in the market today? Each mutual fund has a different objective and a different goal. If you are new to investing, you might want to know this. A mutual fund is a very good way to build a portfolio. They offer a way for a group of investors to effectively gather money so they can invest in a wide variety of investment vehicles and take advantage of the profession in money management services through the purchase of one mutual fund share.

When you purchase a mutual fund, you are investing in stocks, bonds, and similar securities that are held within the market. A mutual fund typically passes along the profits and losses of those investments to its shareholders, so that said, if it does not do well, you might have a little swing on your profit, but if it does well, you benefit. So by this, you probably understand they’re not entirely risk-free.

Key Considerations Before you Start-Off

Mutual Fund Charge

When you are investing in a mutual fund, fees and charges are important factors. Mutual fund investment comes along with the fees and charges that you have to pay. Usually, the lower the investment expenses you pay the higher your Returns so most investors consider minimizing their fees. Management fees are an essential part of expenses, with these deductions typically made once a year.

The other fees also include trade-in costs in marketing fees. By looking at the funds’ expense it also discloses the fund prospectus and availability. Your list probably wants to look for funds that are low in fees, which means ideally less than 1%. A fee or extra charge can be a crucial factor when comparing the returns of your fund. With a mutual fund, your net income would be the one after deduction on these charges.

Finding Good Funds

You know you have more than 8000 mutual funds to choose from. You’ll need to do an extensive amount of research to discover the funds that are best positioned to meet your goals and objectives. There are a huge number of resources to avail and assess funds today, and you can clearly see which one fits you best. It is important for an investor to check statistics and research on mutual funds alone.

Once you come to the term of narrowing down your type of fund, a fund that matches your goals, the research platforms offer a way for you to find funds that are most likely to have the best performances and returns. You do not need to take a crash course in a day for this, just a few useful tools, and you are ready to take the highway.

Management Strategies

When it comes to mutual funds, there are a wide number of management strategies concerned. Among these, the most common ones turn out to be active and passive management of mutual funds. These two strategies have a significant impact on the return of the fund. Let me make it easy and simple, an actively managed mutual fund trades in and out of Securities based on the direction of the fund manager.

Passive funds, on the other hand, buy and hold a specific collection of securities that are usually based on an index. The pros of active and passive investing are an ongoing debate in an investment market. Each of the strategies has its own sets of advantages and disadvantages. So once you’ve got your fingers wrapped around these two, you’ll have a better understanding before you dive in.

Fund Allocations that Match your Goal

Mutual funds, let’s state the facts, is an effective investment when used in building a portfolio following an asset allocation. An asset allocation model tells you how much of your money should be in stocks vs bonds. So what is your goal? Choose whether you want to pick a mutual fund to fill in each asset class. Let’s say you are retiring in a few years (hypothetically), then having all of your money in an equity fund would not be such a good idea. Instead of that, you might want to try to look at a balanced fund.

A Retirement Plan

By now, you probably came across this a lot. Mutual funds are a great investment and a good vehicle to park your money in for retirement. Mutual funds are mostly designed to give you monthly or quarterly income. There are several mutual fund families that have created a series of retirement income funds.

These funds are built around a globe path scale, which reduces the risk for a Retirement approach. It can all be a good option for you, as someone saving for retirement and managing their own money. A retirement plan with mutual funds mostly includes a disciplined and risk-managed approach. Irrespective of you investing on your own or working with a financial advisor, you might want to ensure that your retirement portfolio is balanced for liquidity and your goals.

Conclusion

When your question is whether a mutual fund is a good investment or no, you’ve probably found the answer to that in this article. A mutual fund enables you to invest in diversified portfolio investments. It can seem complex because of the structure or risk. But if you are considering a mutual fund investment, it is important to go through the learning process for key attributes.
