Lungi is one of the most famous dresses worn by men mostly in the Asian countries but their style of tying can be different.

However if you think that it’s less stylish or classy, the news that we are going to share here will make you give more respect to this rectangular piece of cloth.

Now people from the western countries have also started wearing lungis as two American men started The Lungi Project and you will be shocked to know that they are selling one piece of lungi for a huge whopping price of $175 which comes to around Rs. 13K.

Usually, the lungi manufactured in India is of cotton cloth but the lungis available under The Lungi Project are made of European flax linen and silk thread.

While lungis worn in the Asian countries don’t have any buttons, their lungis have two buttons, one exposed and one hidden and they also have two pockets, one in front which is hidden and the second larger back pocket.

The lungis which are being sold by The Lungi Project are designed in Brooklyn and New York and they are handmade in Canada.

The information regarding lungi worth $175 was shared by a Twitter user with caption, “Can’t believe made in North America lungis exist that are selling for $175.”

Twitter Rips Apart Journo Navika Kumar For Repeatedly Asking Neeraj Chopra If He Has A Girlfriend

The Indian sportspersons have returned from the Tokyo Olympics and they have been welcomed in a grand manner for putting up a great show. The only Gold medal that India attained in this Olympics was won by the track and field athlete Neeraj Chopra in Javelin Throw. With this Gold medal, Neeraj Chopra has become the second Indian sportsperson to win the individual Gold medal after Abhinav Bindra who won the Gold medal in shooting in 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Neeraj Chopra became a household name after making history in the Olympics and some online users also predicted that now Bollywood would make a biopic on the athlete and even started a debate as to which actor would be suitable to play the lead role. However, many are of the opinion that Neeraj Chopra can play his own role in the biopic and there is no need for any other actor to portray him.

All the medal winning athletes including Neeraj Chopra were interviewed by various news channels but one interview of Neeraj Chopra is going viral for all the wrong reasons and it has left many Indians angry.

We are talking about the interview taken by Times Now senior journalist Navika Kumar. A video clip has been shared by Times Now on its official Twitter handle and it is evidently apparent that the entire focus of Navika Kumar is on talking about Neeraj Chopra’s fan following, especially among the females and how he feels being a superstar.

While the athlete kept on repeating that his focus is completely on his game and training, Navika Kumar wanted to know whether he has a girlfriend or not and she repeatedly laid emphasis on the same.

What made people angrier was the caption used by Times Now while sharing the clip on Twitter as it read,

“#Exclusive BIG REVELATION by Neeraj Chopra | Good news for girls!

No, I don’t have any girlfriend. My only focus as of now is sports: #Olympics #Gold medalist #NeerajChopra, tells Navika Kumar”

Netizens were utterly disappointed with such low level of journalism and they slammed Navika Kumar mercilessly, calling her the aunt who is more interested in knowing Neeraj Chopra’s relationship status so that she can start gossiping on the same or begin finding a suitable match for him. Many others slammed her for not knowing what kind of questions should be asked to an athlete who has made the country proud by winning the gold.

After Calling Men Hockey’s Bronze Bigger Than WC Win, Gautam Gambhir Trolled For Another Tweet

Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian cricketer turned politician, is often in news because of his tweets and his statements and recently, he made headlines when the Indian men’s hockey team won the Bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics after defeating Great Britain by 5-4.

What made people raise eyebrows was the fact that Gambhir called this victory bigger than the Indian cricket team’s wins of 1983, 2007 and 2011 World Cups despite being a cricketer himself. The cricket lovers were not able to understand why Gautam Gambhir made such comparisons when he was also a part of the 2007 and 2011 World Cup winning teams and he performed well in both the tournaments.

There is no denying the fact that the triumph in hockey was very special as it was after 41 years that the Indian hockey team won any medal in the Olympics but fans didn’t like that Gambhir demeaned the cricket World Cup wins in order to praise the hockey team’s achievement.

The 1983 World Cup win has its own importance in the Indian cricket history as this victory came when nobody gave the Indian team a chance to win. What made it more special is that Kapil Dev led team defeated the West Indian squad, which was considered as the strongest team of cricket world of that time, in the finals. As far as the 2007 T20 World Cup is concerned, it was the inaugural T20 World Cup so it is also very special for the Indian fans. After 28 years, the Indian cricket team was able to repeat history when they won the 2011 World Cup under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

Recently, Gambhir made a tweet in which he revealed the reason behind his harsh tweets and he wrote, “My brain has no heart. My heart has no brain. That’s why when I speak my mind I seem heartless and when I do what’s in my heart I seem thoughtless.”

Earlier Gautam Gambhir took a dig at critics when the Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh called Neeraj Chopra’s Gold medal win bigger than India’s 2011 cricket World Cup win. “If I Hadn’t Met Anushka, I Don’t Know Where I’d Have Been, She’s Truly My Better Half,” Says Virat

The skipper of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli is not only one of the finest cricketers of all times but also a wonderful husband and a doting father. Presently, Virat and Anushka are in England with their daughter Vamika as he is leading the Indian team in the 5-match test series against the England cricket team.

Virat adds that he is not complaining about anything in life but they have to adjust.

The RCB skipper accepts that their lives have changed a lot after becoming parents and their priorities have also changed completely but a smile from Vamika is more than enough for them to forget everything as it has a calming effect on them and it is certainly one of best feelings of the world that a person can have.

Virat Kohli and Anushka tied the knot three years ago and became parents in January this year.

Virat has also talked about his relationship with Anushka and her importance in his life as he says that he has no idea where he would have been if he had not met Anushka. He added that she made him believe in himself and also made him aware about the impact that he can make from where he is in his life and through his acts. He further says that she has changed him as a person and it’s evidently apparent in his game as well. Virat concludes by saying that he is really grateful to have Anushka in his life and she is definitely his better half!
