BCCI’s Post Of Jasprit Bumrah Bowling In Nets Wearing A Batting Pad Confuses Twitter

The Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli is all set to face the England squad in the 5-match test series starting August 4 and quite obviously, the Indian players are sweating hard in the nets. The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is an integral part of team India for quite a long time now and he will need to perform well if the Indian side has to win the series against England.

Presently, the Indian team is carrying out its net sessions at Trent Bridge where the first test match is scheduled to be played and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is making sure that fans also get a glimpse of how their players are preparing by sharing photos and videos on a regular basis on the social media networks.

However, recently BCCI shared a photo of Jasprit Bumrah on its official Twitter handle which left many fans confused as in the pic, Jasprit Bumrah was seen bowling in the nets but he was wearing batting pads as well.

Here is the photo which was shared by the BCCI:

The image was shared with the caption, “He is having a really busy session in the nets” with laughing emoji.

Soon fans also started commenting and while many thought that it is a new way of training, others commented that he is trying to improve his batting as he has not been able to perform well with ball in last few matches.

The Indian team has been facing problems in England because of few injuries as well; however Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav will be reaching England soon as the Sri Lankan tour has got over now. Shikhar Dhawan led the Indian squad for the SL tour which was a mixed one as India won the ODI series by 2-1 but lost the T20I series by 1-2 too.

We are not able to understand the reason behind Jasprit Bumrah wearing pads while bowling. Can you guess?

Groom Paid Money For Marriage, Bride Ran Away On The First Night After Wedding

Marriage is certainly one of the most important events of an individual’s life, while some people get married early in their lives without facing much difficulty in finding the right partner, there are many who are not able to get married due to various reasons.

Representational Image

A man by the name of Sonu Jain who is basically from Gormi which is in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, got cheated in the name of wedding as he paid money for the same but the bride ran away after tying the knot with him.

Sonu Jain was having problem in getting hitched because of which he promptly agreed to pay money to his acquaintance Udal Khatik who told him that he would help him (Sonu Jain) in getting married but he would have to pay Rs. 1 lakh. The deal was closed at Rs. 90,000 and recently, Udal Khatik introduced Sonu to a woman named Anita Ratnakar who was ready to marry Sonu. Anita visited Gormi along with Arun Khatik and Jitendra Ratnakar and soon Sonu and Anita got married in the presence of their relatives.

After the marriage ceremony, everyone went to sleep in their rooms while Arun and Jitendra slept outside the room of Sonu and Anita. Anita went to terrace in order to get some fresh air as she said that she was not feeling well but things turned ugly when she didn’t return for a long time and it was found that the bride was missing from the house. Anita fled from the house by jumping off the roof but she was caught by a policeman who was on the duty of night patrolling.

The groom Sonu Jain was quite upset with whatever happened and he registered a complaint in the police station, Gormi, in which he stated that he got cheated in the name of marriage. A case of fraud was filed against Uday Khatik, Anita Ratnakar, Arun Khatik and Jitendra Vardhan; police has already arrested 3 of them and further investigation is being carried out in this matter.

We feel pity for the groom and hope that he finds a suitable match soon without paying money for this purpose!

Ashutosh Rana Opens Up On Negative Roles, Reveals Why He Loves To Play Such Characters

Ashutosh Rana is certainly one of those few actors who can leave an impact in any role that they play. Moreover, he has always impressed us with his acting whether he has portrayed the role of a villain or of a father, etc.

The 54 years old actor has also won two Filmfare Awards for his acting performances in the movies – “Dushman” and “Sangharsh”. In both the flicks, Ashutosh Rana has played negative characters and recently in an interview, he discloses that he loves to play such complex characters because it helps him in becoming a better human being in real life.

As per Ashutosh Rana, there is certain type of edge and energy in the negative characters and when this energy goes up, it makes a person saint but if it goes down, the person is transformed into a devil and by playing negative characters, he gets the chance to understand these energies.

Ashutosh Rana also states that audiences feel more relatable with the characters that have grey shades because they have ups and downs while on the contrary, the character of a hero is just like a plateau and viewers don’t remember such characters.

He gives the example of Amitabh Bachchan’s role in “Deewar” and Sanjay Dutt’s character in “Vaastav”, saying that people remember such characters and completely black or white characters don’t impress them. Ashutosh Rana feels that there is more variation in negative characters and they crave to justify their existence.

He further adds that he doesn’t take acting as a profession only; in fact for him, it is also a way to attain salvation.

Ian Chappell Reacts On The Hundred, “They’ve Reduced By A Mere 20 Balls A Very Popular Format”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came up with the T20 tournament Indian Premier League (IPL) in order to make cricket more entertaining and interesting for cricket lovers. Other cricket boards also followed the BCCI and as a result, Big Bash League (BBL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Sri Lanka Premier League (SPL), etc. came into existence.

However, the England and Wales Cricket Board came up with a new concept which is known as The Hundred. The Hundred tournament is being played at the moment in which some big names of the cricket world such as Faf du Plessis, Sunil Narine, Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Rashid Khan, Quinton de Kock, etc. are participating and not only men’s but women’s teams are also playing in the tournament. In fact, five Indian women cricketers (Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues) are also playing for various teams in The Hundred.

While the former England cricketers are going gaga over the new concept, the former Australian cricketer Ian Chappell feels that the T20 cricket is quite apt for getting it included in the Olympics and The Hundred was never needed.

Ian Chappell writes in a column that other than reducing the number of balls for signing a television deal, another reason which can be stated for coming up this concept is that cricket may get entry into the Olympics and it can also be said that it will increase the popularity of the game but T20 could have done the same thing without reducing the number of balls.

Ian Chappell further writes that cricket is a game of 11 players and performance satisfaction is an important factor in cricket because of which youngsters get attracted towards the game but as the length of innings will reduce further, the chances of the players getting satisfied with their performances will also reduce.

While concluding, Ian Chappell writes that the ECB has just deducted 20 balls from a format which has already been very popular among the fans of the game and the players as well.

BCCI Takes Strong Stand Against Kashmir Premier League, Calls PCB Confused

The relations between India and Pakistan are quite tense over a long time and now the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has increased the tension further by taking the decision of organizing the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) in the Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The Indian government has always maintained that Kashmir is an integral part of India and recently the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also took a solid stand on the matter of the KPL.

Meanwhile, the former South African cricketer Hershelle Gibbs took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and alleged that the BCCI was pressurizing him not to play in the KPL and bringing their political agenda in cricket. Gibbs adds that the BCCI has threatened him that he won’t be allowed to enter India for any cricketing work if he takes part in the KPL.

This is what Hershelle Gibbs tweeted, “Completely unnecessary of the @BCCI to bring their political agenda with Pakistan into the equation and trying to prevent me playing in the @kpl_20. Also threatening me saying they won’t allow me entry into India for any cricket related work. Ludicrous”.

After Hershelle Gibbs, the PCB has also issued a statement in which it states that the BCCI has breached the international rules and regulations of cricket by interfering in the internal matters of the ICC members and the KPL has been authorized by the PCB.

In response, the BCCI has made it clear that it has all the rights to take decisions on the matters related to cricket taking place in India. As far as the allegations made by Hershelle Gibbs are concerned, a BCCI official states that his statement is not true and in regard to the PCB’s statement, the official states that the PCB seems to be pretty confused as this is an internal matter of the BCCI.

As per the reports, the BCCI has made it clear to the cricket boards of the various cricket playing nations that those players who will take part in the KPL will be banned from taking part in any cricket related work in India. In fact, the BCCI has also informed the boards in an unofficial manner that any tie-ups by them in the KPL will result in their commercial tie-ups with the BCCI getting over.

The BCCI official states the cricket board has no problem with the players playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) but the KPL is taking place in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and the BCCI is just walking on the line drawn by the Indian government.

The KPL is scheduled to start from August 6 and six teams will be taking part in this tournament.

The return of Rishabh Pant is certainly a good news for the Indian squad which is already facing problem because of the injuries that few players have suffered.
