Jadeja Speaks On His Fielding Skill, “I Have That Extra Fraction Of Second & I Move There Quickly”

The Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is quite excited about the final of the World Test Championship which will be played between India and New Zealand at Southampton beginning from 18th June. Just recently, Jadeja expressed his excitement by posting a photo of himself wearing the sweater which is part of the dress that the Indian team will wear in the final match.

There is no denying the fact that Ravindra Jadeja is an integral part of the Indian squad and what makes him important for the team is the fact that he contributes in a three-dimensional manner. While Jadeja has the ability to hit big shots at his will, he can also be instrumental in breaking some important partnerships of the opposition but even if on any given day he is not able to perform well with bat and ball both, there is hardly any chance that he will fail to perform in fielding as well.

Ravindra Jadeja who plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL is known to be one of the best fielders of the present time. While many of us may think that Jadeja must be training hard to improve his fielding skills, the reality is that he doesn’t work much on his fielding during the net sessions. As per him, he has told the fielding coach R Sridhar that he won’t drain much in the nets and he has also asked him to give slow catches as he will manage it in the match. Jadeja adds that he would prefer to get injured in a match rather than in a training session because of which he avoids hard training sessions.

During an interview with a news portal, the Saurashtra cricketer has accepted that it is his correct anticipation ability that makes him stand apart from all other cricketers. He further states that he has extra fraction of a second that helps in moving faster towards the ball so that he can take the position which helps him in taking catches.

Ravindra Jadeja says that though he is natural when it comes to fielding, he works out a lot for his shoulders as they need to be strong for quick throws.

Ravindra Jadeja will have to play an important role in the finals of the WTC if India has to win it and we sincerely hope that he performs well in all the aspects of the game.

A Guide To A Rewarding Career In Counseling

Over recent years, there has been a societal shift towards recognizing the importance of mental health for overall health and wellbeing. The stigma surrounding mental health conditions in the recent past caused many people to suffer in silence lest they be ostracized by society or seen as weak. While there is still some way to go in regards to breaking every barrier, acknowledging mental health problems and seeking treatment is no longer seen to be shameful; it is the first step on the road to patients getting their lives back on track for a rewarding and fulfilling life.

Furthermore, the treatments available for mental health problems have evolved massively to focus on resolving the root cause of the issue through counseling rather than merely treating the symptoms. As a mental health counselor, you will work with clients to work through whatever problems might be affecting their life, providing them with an excellent set of coping mechanisms. You might specialize in a particular area, such as anxiety disorders or working with patients battling addiction. Counseling is a highly fulfilling career in which you will make a real difference to the lives of your patients. If you are interested in finding out more, read on for a guide to embarking on a rewarding career in counseling.

Why should you become a counselor?

Firstly, you should consider why a career in the counseling profession would be a rewarding one for you. As people increasingly come to realize that looking after their mental health is equally as important as caring for their physical health, more and more people are turning to counselors to help them to resolve certain issues that are affecting their quality of life, in some cases for many years. As such, mental health counseling is a profession that continues to grow each year, meaning that you can be sure of having a stable career as a counselor. Furthermore, you can enjoy the sense of satisfaction and fulfillment of knowing that you are helping clients to overcome trauma and obstacles in their life that are preventing them from reaching their full potential and happiness; you can arrive at the office each morning sure that the work you are doing is making a real difference to peoples’ lives.

So, what steps do you need to take in order to become a counselor? A high level of rigorous graduate education is required before seeking licensure to ensure that clients have access to the highest level of counseling.

Obtain a masters in mental health counseling

The first step in becoming a mental health counselor is to obtain a masters in mental health counseling. This degree program will give you the skills and knowledge to channel your passion for helping people to live their best life into a career. You will learn the essential concepts and fundamentals of counseling, such as abnormal psychology and counseling techniques and theories, as well as a variety of counseling practices relating to specific needs, such as crisis counseling and addiction counseling. Some masters in mental health counseling programs also provide students with the opportunity to work within the field as a counseling intern. Gaining on-the-job experience under the supervision of a licensed counsellor is an essential part of becoming a licensed mental health counsellor, as you are required to have a minimum number of client hours acquired through work experience placements before passing the state licensure exam. Look for an accredited masters in a mental health counseling program that will provide you with a solid path towards gaining state licensure.

It might be that you are seriously considering a career change to mental health counseling but feel financially unable to stop working full-time to pursue a master’s degree. If this is the case, there are fortunately plenty of flexible degree programs available that you can enroll on. An online masters in mental health counseling program will provide you with the necessary flexibility to fit your studies and self-improvement around other life commitments, like a full-time job, childcare, and all-important leisure time. With this, you can rest assured that you can take the first educational step towards pursuing your dream career in mental health counseling while still being able to fulfill your existing commitments.

Gain state licensure

You will need to pass the national counselor examination (NCE)in order to become licensed to practice as a mental health counselor in your state. It is a 200-item, multiple-choice exam used to assess the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities required for providing clients with effective counseling services. The NCE is a requirement in many states for becoming a licensed counselor and is regularly reviewed to ensure that it reflects current research and standards of counseling practice so that clients receive the best possible counseling to reach their needs. This can be followed up with a national certified counselor (NCC) certification, which is a voluntary national certification that demonstrates to clients and other professionals that you have voluntarily met high national standards for the practice of counseling, in terms of continuing with your education and keeping up with research and best industry practice.

If you are planning to work in a clinical setting as a licensed mental health counselor, you will need to pass the certified clinical mental health counselor (CCMHC) board certification. This includes the national clinical mental health counseling examination (NCMHCE), which consists of simulated clinical mental health counseling cases used to assess clinical problem-solving ability, such as identifying, diagnosing, and treating clinical conditions. There are certain requirements that you must meet in order to obtain certification as a CCMHC. The NCC is a prerequisite, and you need to have completed at least 60 semester hours of a graduate-level academic counseling program; as discussed above, an accredited masters in mental health counseling program would provide you with the relevant knowledge and experience required. You need to have had at least 3,000 hours of postgraduate clinical client work experience, along with at least 100 hours of postgraduate clinical supervision. Furthermore, as you will be accessing a lot of sensitive information regarding client confidentiality and welfare as a mental health counselor, you are required to adhere to the National Board for Certified Counselor’s code of ethics.

The field of mental health care is very wide and encompasses vastly different issues, from diagnosing and treating pathological conditions such as narcissism to working with clients to help resolve deep-seated anxieties and build new and more effective coping mechanisms. Now that you have an idea of the education and licensure requirements for becoming a mental health counselor, it is time to consider the different roles you could fulfill as a licensed counselor.

School guidance counselor

School can be a difficult time for a lot of kids and teenagers. Numerous academic pressures are placed on students, as well as dealing with school social problems like bullying, and, on top of all this, middle and high-school students are faced with the physical and mental changes wrought by puberty. Considering these pressures, an increasing number of school-aged kids and teens struggle with their mental health, some even developing serious mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. As a school guidance counselor, you will work closely with students and teachers to emotionally support students in their learning and to ensure that school remains a positive, happy environment for them. You will provide support to students who come to you to discuss any issues they are experiencing, such as bullying, and work with them to help resolve that issue. You may also work with particularly disruptive students to get to the root cause of their behavior and provide them with tools to work through that behavior and improve their focus on study.

Addiction recovery

Drug and alcohol addiction is devastating. However, due to the continued shame and stigma surrounding these destructive issues, in addition to unpleasant withdrawal symptoms, many people battling addiction do not seek the help that they need. Instead, they choose to live with their addictions rather than finding a counselor who has the specific knowledge and skillset to help them improve their lives and conquer their addiction. As an addiction counselor, you could work in a rehabilitation unit as part of a rehab program designed to provide patients with their optimum chance for recovery. Alternatively, you could provide outpatient addiction counseling to clients who recognize that they have a problem and want to resolve it before it manifests further, with devastating consequences. Addiction is not simply a case of becoming hooked on a substance and only requiring a physical detox. As an addiction counselor, you will work with clients who want to overcome addiction to identify and tackle the underlying causes for the addictive behavior, providing them with healthier coping mechanisms for the future. Furthermore, it is becoming increasingly recognized that addictive behavior is not only limited to drug and alcohol abuse: as an addiction counselor, you could help clients dealing with addictions as diverse as sex and gambling to video games and shopping.

Correctional facilities

Prisons are not all about punishing people for committing crimes: they aim to provide inmates with a level of mental health care and education that they may otherwise not have had access to on the outside so that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to help them to live a successful, crime-free life once released. As a counselor in a correctional facility, you will work with inmates to identify negative emotions and patterns of behavior that lead them to engage in criminal patterns of behavior. You will help them to understand their behavior so that they will recognize when they are falling into bad behavioral habits and make better choices. You will also teach better coping mechanisms for dealing with such emotions to avoid criminal behavior patterns, for example, anger management techniques to reduce aggressive behavior. As a counselor in a correctional facility, you will have the sense of satisfaction that you are making a real difference in inmates’ lives, providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary for them to live a productive life after leaving prison, helping them to avoid falling back into a life of crime.

Military counselor

Military counseling is a specialized field of counseling that expertly addresses the needs of members of the military and their families. Military personnel experience a specific set of psychological pressures that are not otherwise experienced by the general population, such as the experiences of armed combat and making quick life-or-death decisions. As such, it is estimated that most military personnel are discharged with some degree of psychological damage, often manifesting in the form of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As a military counselor, you will work with members of the military to help them process their traumatic experiences to help them heal and adjust to life outside the military. You will also provide counseling to those who have sustained life-changing injuries during their service and grieving families who have lost a beloved family member as a result of military action. To become a military counselor, in addition to becoming a licensed mental health counselor, you will have to enlist in the military and receive specialized military training.

These are just a few of the career paths you can go down as a licensed counselor. There are many more, each providing you with the satisfaction of helping people to overcome their traumas and go on to lead happy, healthy lives.

As you can see, becoming a mental health counselor requires a lot of hard work and dedication – a high level of postgraduate education, such as a masters in mental health counseling, along with work experience, is a prerequisite to passing the NCE and CCMHC in order to become a licensed practitioner. However, there are many different counseling fields that you could go into, such as addiction recovery or working for the military, to ensure that you remain enthusiastic about helping clients in your fulfilling career as a counselor.

Managing Health And Wellbeing When Studying As A Full-Time Nurse: A Guide

Nurses and other frontline workers have been through the ringer this past year. They have worked hard, tirelessly, and were the last defense against a raging pandemic that brought the entire world to a halt. Their work has never been more important, and never has it been so apparent that not only do we need more RNs, we need more APRNs and healthcare administrators with DNP degrees.

Taking time off to commit to full-time education, however, is not an option. Most nurses will have and want to continue to work to support themselves and their families financially. However, even if they didn’t need that financial support, there are too few nurses and too high a demand for the number of nurses this country needs the training to take a sabbatical from their career.

However, with online education, nurses can continue to work while studying to earn their next academic qualification. Online degrees have become increasingly popular as times goes on – and for a good reason. It is the best option for both the nurses and for patients.

Staying healthy and well, however, is an entirely different story. Several strategies need to be put in place. It isn’t just your health and wellbeing that matters, after all. Push yourself to the brink, and you won’t be able to provide patients with the level of care they need and deserve.

These tips can be used when you work towards your BSN, your MSN, or even your DNP. They are universal, effective, and designed specifically to help nurses work in shifts and work in set hours.

Start with a Degree That Supports Your Career

There are many excellent online degrees out there today for nurses. It is, after all, the best way to train up existing nurses without detracting from the current workforce. It is in everyone’s best interests to make online degrees that are effective, informative, and helpful.

Not every institution will be the same. Nevertheless, you deserve better than an outdated interface and a degree that hasn’t properly integrated all the benefits of a digital learning environment. Moreover, you deserve more than just a removed classroom; with the power of technology, you can learn better and more effectively right in your own home than you could at night school or even with a full-time education.

There are a few ways that you can check the quality of the online degree that you are looking to apply to. The good news is that these tricks will help you find the perfect degree whether you are applying for a BSN, an MSN, or even a DNP.

1. Check for Accreditation

This is a bare minimum. If a recognized institution in your state does not accredit the degree, then you cannot use it. It’s as simple as that, so do your due diligence from the start and narrow down your options from accredited nursing colleges.

2. Inspect the Faculty

Nursing is one of those careers where you want to be educated by a career professional. The faculty, therefore, should be full of exceptional nurses who decided at the end of an already illustrious career to move their efforts towards helping the next generation.

Not only can this help you decide which degree you want to go to, some degrees, like the DNP, have a final project that acts very similar to a dissertation or thesis. You will therefore have a faculty member oversee your progress and help you with writing and finalizing it. Finding a faculty member that has the same career as you aspire for and want to invest in is a great way to choose the DNP program for you.

3. Check Ratings and Reviews

While a high-ranking university looks good on paper, it doesn’t actually mean a lot to you. After all, the ranking of an entire university could be because of a different department entirely. They may be well regarded because of their bachelor programs or arts programs, not because of their nursing programs.

You deserve the best of the best, even amongst nursing colleges and institutions. To do that, you will want to see how well the department itself ranks amongst others like it. You will also want to see if you can find reviews and testimonies from alumni, and if you are going for a DNP, you will want to find previous graduates on your own or through the alumni network to ask questions about their experience.

This extra legwork is important if you want to choose the best degree for you, both in terms of your professional goals and personal needs.

4. Examine Available Support

Support can look like many different things. The most basic support level that you will want from your BSN, MSN, or DNP degree is flexible learning. Ideally, it would help if you chose between 8-week courses or 16-week courses and the ability to take on one or two courses at a time.

This is how you can learn while studying. It is the only feasible way to manage a career as demanding as a nurse and commit to any degree, from BSN to DNP.

It doesn’t matter how many times you have been around the block, either. Just because you are an APRN now does not mean that you will find earning your DNP easy, especially this year. The workload is larger. The pressure is more demanding. The last thing you need as an APRN today is to be bogged down by a degree that does not take your good work and stress into the equation.

This stress is where the next suggestion comes into play. To truly succeed, especially in a leadership degree like a DNP, it is imperative that you have a success coach. One-on-one coaching can help keep you above water and, most importantly, can do a lot for the sake of your career.

DNP healthcare administrators are invaluable, both in policy and in healthcare settings. That being said, you need to be very strategic to beat out competitors and to earn a higher wage in your pay scale.

A one-on-one coach can help give you advice throughout your degree, including what to do with that DNP after the fact.

Personal Methods to Managing Stress

Stress is both mental and physical, and therefore to improve your performance at work and help improve your ability to study, you will want to focus on those two areas of your health.

1. Stop, Remove, or Lessen the Physical Symptoms

Stress causes adrenaline to spike, for the body to tense, and for fight or flight to kick in. In small doses, it can give you the edge. Stress is, at its core, neither a necessarily bad thing nor a good thing. It is a survival response. However, put yourself in too many stressful situations, and your body and mind cannot cope with it. The mental trauma of stress and stressors can be extreme, and if you find that you experience issues like PTSD or disassociated (and not just from work), seeking out professional care is a must.

However, stress will cause physiological symptoms that will be painful, from muscle knots to stomach cramps, even heart arrhythmia. So the first step to reducing your stress is to remove, lessen, or at the very least stop the symptoms of stress from causing ongoing pain long as you go home.

A massage therapist or other physical therapist can help you with those pesky physical symptoms, as can a doctor if you develop issues such as stomach ulcers. However, unless you address the physical pains, they will only stress you more, making it hard to do your job and focus on your degree.

2. The Benefits of Sleep and Stress Management

Getting a good night’s rest when you work shifts at a hospital is going to be difficult. During your shift days, you will maybe get a few naps in at completely random intervals when you have the time. Unfortunately, this can destroy the possibility of a consistent routine – which is, by far, the most effective way to get a good night’s rest.

What you need to do is use routine to replace the schedule. For example, instead of going to sleep at the same time every day, do the same activities before bed and the same activities when you wake up. This way, your brain can associate certain progressions as the precursor for sleep.

For example, a few hours before you go to bed, you can start a meditative activity. Drawing, puzzling, gardening, or anything else that allows your hands to work while powering down your brain is a good idea. Then, of course, you could read, but try to stick with books that aren’t hard to put down; otherwise, you could end up waking your brain up inadvertently and ruin your efforts to get a good night’s rest at any time of the day.

Whatever you do, choose something meditative, relaxing, and ideally away from the blue-white light of electronics. This way, you can ease your mind into a quiet restfulness that should help you sleep more deeply.

3. The Benefits of Exercise for Stress Management

Exercise offers many health benefits. For stress, it offers two things. One, it allows you to work off nervous energy that may have built up through the day. Two, it causes the body to produce endorphins. Exercising regularly is also proven to help you sleep better at night, allowing you to enjoy multiple benefits all at once.

4. The Importance of Diet

Diet is imperative for health – we all know this. However, foods that are high in sugar, salt, and fat have the added detriment of causing energy crashes. They are hard on your body and harder on your mind because they don’t provide the energy or the nutrients you need to successfully power through a full day at work and then, depending on your study structure, continue your day by investing time into your degree.

Tips to Improve Your Emotional Wellbeing

It isn’t just health and the physical symptoms of fatigue that you have to worry about as a full-time nurse taking on the pressures of a stressful job; you also need to be aware of the toll it can take on your mental health.

5. Build a Support Network

You need a support network that helps you. They should help you emotionally and physically, and to do that, you need to have more than one source of support. The nurses at work, your friends and family, and even other students are working on the same nursing degree as you are all excellent places to start. You are not in this alone, and having the emotional support and people there to help you with your responsibilities is going to be instrumental to your efforts.

6. Have Planned Breaks

Breaks are the key to success. Work too long or focus too long on any one thing, and your attention is going to drift. The brain will try its hardest to make the work you are trying to do easier on itself. By taking a break, you can give your mind a breather and actually learn better and do your job better.
At work, you won’t have the same ability to control when you have a break, which is why you should be kind to yourself when it comes to studying for your degree.

7. Reconnect with Nature

Hospitals and other medical locations are not known for their connection to nature. You can feel very disassociated as a result, especially if you work in an area where you either cannot focus on what’s outside the windows, or alternatively are not even near windows at all.

To relax and recharge, try to spend your breaks and time off outside as much as possible. Being amongst nature is a natural stress-reducer and can even improve things such as your focus and memory. In short, it is an excellent and wholesome way to spend your downtime that will actually work to improve both your career and your studying efforts.

Dhoni’s Old Tweet When He Gave Apt Reply To Troller Asking Him To Focus On Batting Goes Viral

MS Dhoni, the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, is one of the most loved and most admired cricket personalities of the country and it won’t be wrong to say that some cricket fans worship him as if he is a demigod. Dhoni who is also known as Captain Cool because of his cool and calm attitude is the only skipper who has won all the ICC tournaments – ICC T20 World Cup 2007, ICC World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013.

Though MS Dhoni is not very active on social media networks nowadays but there was a time when he used to share the updates with his followers and also interact with fans. Dhoni has a good sense of humour and many times he has displayed his wittiness on the field which we get to know through the stump mics. When he used to be active on the social media networks, he was showered with love and praises but sometimes he had to face the trolls as well but we must admit that he replied to the trollers like a boss.

Nowadays, some old tweets of MS Dhoni are going viral on the micro-blogging site Twitter and in one of them, Mahi has given a perfect reply to the troller. In the month of July 2012 before the Indian team left for the Sri Lankan tour, MS Dhoni made a tweet in which he asked his followers to find the differences between two almost same looking images.

While many followers responded with answers, there was one online user who advised Dhoni to focus on his batting in place of Twitter. The online user wrote, “@msdhoni plzz concentrate on ur batting not in Twitter”.

MS Dhoni noticed the comment and gave a perfect yet funny reply as he asked tips from the man. Mahi wrote, “Sir yes sir, any tips sir”.

MS Dhoni has taken retirement from the international cricket but he is still leading Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. MSD is the second most successful skipper after Rohit Sharma as CSK has won the IPL three times while Mumbai Indians has won it five times.

After having a nightmarish IPL 2020, CSK was having a good time in the IPL 2021 but the league got postponed midway due to the COVID-19 pandemic and recently it has been announced that the remaining matches of the tournament will be conducted in UAE.

Petrol Price Crosses Rs 100/Litre In Mumbai, People Vent Their Frustration With Funny Memes

The prices of petrol and diesel play an important role in increasing the inflation as the transportation of goods from one place to another becomes costly and the fuel prices also have a direct effect on the budget of the public. Any fluctuation in the prices of the fuel in global markets has an effect on the prices of fuel in the country and as per a report of a news channel, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased 15 times since May 4 which is certainly a new record.

Representational Image

The taxes that are charged by the state governments also affect the price of petrol and diesel in a state; for example – in New Delhi, the prices of petrol and diesel are Rs. 93.94/litre (after 26 paisa hike) and Rs. 84.89/litre (after 28 paisa hike), respectively but in Mumbai, the price of petrol has touched Rs. 100 mark.

This was more than enough for netizens to lose their cool and they took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to express their annoyance, frustration and despair. However, there were some who expressed themselves in a funny manner and these tweets are quite relatable:

Though we Indians have the capability to smile in the toughest times, the hike in prices of petrol and diesel will affect people adversely as many people are already finding it difficult to survive due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of individuals have lost their livelihood while many have to manage with limited resources due to reduction in their payment and if the prices of necessary things will keep on increasing like this, it will be difficult for people to manage.

Irfan Pathan’s Wife Safa Baig Finally Breaks Silence On Face Blur Photo Controversy

The former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is quite active on the social media networks and has a huge fan following too but recently he had to bear the wrath of netizens because of a photo in which his wife’s face was blurred.

In the concerned pic, Irfan Pathan is seen with his son Imran sitting on his shoulders while his wife Safa is standing beside him. As Safa Baig’s face is blurred in the photo, soon the online users start slamming the former all-rounder for acting as an oppressor and not letting his wife live her life as per her will.

After some time, Irfan Pathan tried to clear the things by making a tweet in which he said that he is a mate (friend) of his wife and not a master but it appears that this wasn’t much helpful.

Now the 28 years old Safa Baig who used to work as a model earlier opened up on this matter and during an interview with a leading daily, she stated that it was her choice to blur her photo and her husband Irfan Pathan had nothing to do with it.

According to Safa Baig, she has made an Instagram account for her son and she posts over there so that when Imran grows up, he can live the old lovely memories again by looking at the posts made by her. She stated that for the photo, blurring her face was her own choice and Irfan should not be blamed for that. As per Safa, she had no idea that posting a family photo may create such a controversy. She also adds that she is a very private person and doesn’t like to be the centre of attraction. In fact, she goes on to say that even when Irfan is getting clicked, she prefers to move away.

On the question of her husband being accused of oppressing her, Safa Baig who is basically from Saudi Arabia recalled the times when Irfan supported her for not using his surname at the passport office after they got married in 2016.

Safa Baig was quite clear when she said that cyber-bullying should not be tolerated at all and people should accept that everyone has the choice to make their own decisions, whether it is in regard to choosing a dress or to blur their own photo.

Well, it was good and much-needed on the part of Safa Baig to clarify things over the face blur photo controversy on her own so that Irfan doesn’t have to tolerate all the backlash and unnecessary criticism. We honour Safa’s choice and request netizens not to target the couple over any pic or post that they share on social media.

Sachin Tendulkar Discloses Two Things That He Regrets The Most In His Cricket Career

The legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is certainly the most accomplished batsman of the cricket world with several records under his name. Little Master is the only batsman in the world who has 100 international centuries to his name and he is the first batsman to score a double ton in an ODI.

Sachin Tendulkar made his debut at the international level in 1989 and it was in 2013 that he hung his boots. In this duration, he played 200 test matches and 463 ODIs in which he scored 15921 and 18426 runs, respectively. Sachin has scored 51 hundreds and 68 fifties in his test career while in the shorter format, he has scored 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries.

In his IPL career, Sachin Tendulkar played 78 matches for Mumbai Indians and scored 2334 runs including a century. Master Blaster has also been a part-time bowler who has taken 46 wickets in his test career and 154 wickets in the ODIs.

Sachin Tendulkar’s contribution towards the Indian cricket is so immense that the Indian government decided to award him with the highest civilian award of the country, i.e., Bharat Ratna in 2014. While each one of us may believe that Sachin has achieved everything in life that he ever wished for, you will be surprised to know that he also has two regrets in his cricketing career about which he has spoken in an interview with a cricket portal.

Sachin Tendulkar says that he has two regrets, one of which is that he was not able to play with the former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar who was Sachin’s batting hero. Gavaskar took retirement just couple of years before Tendulkar made his debut.

Talking about the second regret, Sachin says that he could not play against the legendary West Indian cricketer Sir Vivian Richards. Sachin adds that though he was lucky to play against Viv Richards in the county cricket, he didn’t get the chance to play against him at the international level despite the fact that the West Indian legend took retirement in 1991 and Tendulkar debuted in 1989.

It would certainly have been great to watch Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar batting together for the Indian team! What do you say?
