The Australian cricketer David Warner had a pretty bad time in the IPL 2021 as not only he found it difficult to score runs comfortably but his team Sunrisers Hyderabad was also at the bottom of the points table with only one win in the seven matches that it played before the tournament got postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19.

The SRH management had to take the harsh decision of removing David Warner from the captaincy after a series of failure and in the last match that SRH played against Rajasthan Royals, Warner was not even included in the playing XI. Recently, David Warner shared a video in which he did fake transformation on the popular track “Rowdy baby” which is originally done by the southern actor Dhanush. He shared the video with the caption, “Back by popular demand, name it please”.

Fans were pretty happy seeing their favourite performer back on Instagram and we are quite sure that they will love to see some more of him.

As far as the Australian cricket is concerned, the ghost of the sandpaper gate scandal has come back to haunt them as the Cricket Australia has asked Cameron Bancroft to give more details after the latter indicated in an interview that the bowlers were also aware of the sandpaper being used to rub the ball.

It may not affect David Warner even if the investigation is launched again as he had accepted his mistake at that time and served a ban of one year as well.

Upset Indian Fans Ask AB De Villiers To Play For India As He Announces Final Retirement

The cricket fans all over the world were hoping to see the comeback of former South African cricketer AB de Villiers in the national team as he was thinking of playing for the country once again. In fact, he was in the talks with the head coach Mark Boucher and Graeme Smith, the Director of Cricket South Africa (CSA) in this regard as well.

However on May 18, hopes of the fans got quashed after the CSA confirmed that Mr. 360, as the fans of AB de Villiers love to call him, will not be coming out of retirement. AB de Villiers took retirement in the year 2018 when he was 34 yrs old and the last time he represented South Africa was in the Johannesburg test match Mar-Apr 2018 against Australia after which he took the sudden decision of retirement. Thought ABD took retirement from the international cricket, he continued playing in different leagues including the IPL and kept on making his fans go crazy with his superb batting skills.

Some time back, ABD expressed his desire of playing for the country once again and the head coach Mark Boucher also confirmed that he had been in discussion with the cricketer in regard to his comeback. Recently, Graeme Smith also stated that it would certainly be good to have ABD in the team which would play the 5-match T20I series against West Indies.

However, fans were left disappointed after the CSA announced the list of the players for the tour of West Indies and Ireland as AB de Villiers’ name was missing from the list. Later on, the CSA also issued a statement in which it stated that the discussions with ABD have got over and the batsman has taken the final decision that his status of retirement won’t change. Even though ABD won’t play on the international level, he will continue to cast his magic on the field for Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.

The social media users, especially the Indians, were not happy with this latest development and they slammed the CSA for playing dirty politics. Some Indian cricket lovers even went on to the extent of inviting AB de Villiers to play for India and take the Indian citizenship. Kuldeep Yadav, the Indian cricketer who recently expressed his unhappiness over the fact that he is not getting enough chances to play in the matches for the last two years, has created a controversy after a photo of him went viral in which he is seen taking a COVID-19 vaccination shot.

On May 15, the cricketer Kuldeep Yadav posted a photo on the micro-blogging site Twitter in which he is seen getting vaccinated. The caption of the tweet was, “जब भी मौका मिले तुरंत टीका लगवाएं। सुरक्षित रहें क्योंकि COVID19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई में एकजुट होने की आवश्यकता है (Get vaccinated whenever you get the chance, Stay safe as we all need to fight together against COVID-19)”.

The photo created controversy as the cricketer from Kanpur was seen getting the vaccination shot in a guest house in place of a hospital. Soon an investigation was launched by the Kanpur administration and later on Magistrate Himanshu Gupta revealed that the cricketer got vaccinated at Jageshwar Hospital in Govind Nagar and the photo that he posted was clicked at Kanpur Nagar Nigam guest house.

The administration also added that the spinner was at the 136th spot in the official register of the hospital and the pic shared by him on Twitter was just a social media gimmick.

Recently, the Indian spinner has accepted that it is getting tough for him mentally as he has not got enough chances in the last two years. Almost after two years, he was able to make his comeback in the Indian test team when he played the Chennai test match against England but after that, he was dropped from the team for the remaining test matches. He was also included in the playing XI for the two ODIs but after that, he was dropped again.

What demotivated the spinner the most was that the team management of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders didn’t include him in the playing XI for even a single match in the IPL 2021 which has now been postponed due to COVID-19.

Twitter Slams News Channel For Making Journo Report Amid Cyclone Tauktae & Risking Her Life

The coastal states of India – Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka are facing the wrath of cyclone Tauktae and despite the efforts made by the government, some people have lost their lives due to this cyclone. The cyclonic storm has also done a great damage as houses have fallen, trees have been uprooted and it won’t be wrong to say that the visuals of destruction are quite heart-breaking.

The Indian meteorological department has also issued warnings for the citizens living in the coastal areas. While the most-affected areas were evacuated by the government, the citizens living in other areas were asked not to go out of their houses and remain indoors to stay safe.

The news channels are also trying their best to cover all the news related to the cyclone Tauktae so that they can let the people know about the severity of the situation. However at the same time, the news channels should also ensure that there is no risk to the lives of their journalists. But to utter surprise, a news channel NDTV did the opposite and sent their reporter, Purva Chitnis at the Gateway of India where the situation was quite risky.

NDTV posted a video on their official Twitter handle in which their reporter Purva Chitnis was trying to tell how bad the situation was and she was not able to handle her mic properly as it was getting blown away by the winds.
