Salman Butt Condemns Vaughan For Starting Unnecessary Debate On Kane Williamson & Kohli

The former England skipper Michael Vaughan is quite critical of the Indian team. Moreover, he loves to make statements involving the Indian cricketers and tries to create controversies. Recently, Vaughan stated that the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson would have been the greatest cricketer of the world if he had been an Indian. According to Michael Vaughan, Kane Williamson is equally great as the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, it’s just that the former does not make noise and does his work in a calm and cool manner. Michael Vaughan also states that praising Virat Kohli certainly gives more likes and shares but if someone says that Virat Kohli isn’t the greatest cricketer, the Indian social media users will come hard on that person.

Virat Kohli has 70 centuries to his name in the international cricket and after the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and former Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting, he is on the third spot in the list of the most centuries scored by batsmen.

The former Pakistani cricketer Salman Butt has spoken on the comparisons made by Vaughan and slammed the former English cricketer for saying things which start unnecessary debates.

Salman Butt says that Virat Kohli’s performance is great despite the fact that he hails from a country which has a huge population and he has 70 international centuries to his name, something that no other batsman of his era has been able to achieve. Salman Butt goes on to say that he doesn’t understand what the need of drawing comparisons was, especially when Virat Kohli has figured in the top ICC rankings for a very long period now.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Salman Butt praised the captaincy of Michael Vaughan but also said that his batting was not at par with the Indian skipper. As per Salman Butt, Vaughan may have been a good test batsman but he never scored a hundred in ODIs and that too, when he used to open the innings for his team so there is no point in discussing about what Vaughan said. Butt adds that it is Vaughan’s habit to bring up an issue on which a debate starts and the public has good amount of time to stretch the topic.

Vaughan had scored 18 centuries in his test cricket career of 8 years which started in 1999 and ended in 2007. Talking about Salman Butt, he represented Pakistan in 33 test matches, 78 ODIs and 24 T20Is before his career got over due to the spot-fixing scandal which took place at the Lord’s.

Fashion Brand Is Selling Slash Jeans For Rs 28K, Memers Come Up With Hilarious Comparisons

Fashion brands have been quite innovative over the years but in the recent times, some fashion brands have come up with products which have been targeted by the social media users for being weird and funny. What has angered the online users more is the high pricing of these bizarre products in the critical times of the coronavirus pandemic.

To name a few, a fashion brand came up with denim jeans and overalls with fake grass stains which people used to get on their jeans while playing in the field in their childhood. To name other products, the trousers made of the material which is used for making jute bags, necklaces made of the phone cords, diamond studded face shields or the chair purse which can store literally nothing, and so on.

Now one more fashion brand has come up with a unique style of jeans and pants. The name of the brand is LEJE which was founded by two Korean designers and they have launched Slash Jeans and L Jeans in the market.

The Slash jeans are being created by cutting the jeans from the middle in a slanting manner and then stitching it with leaving two sides open.

On the other hand, the L Jeans are stitched in the same manner but they are cut in the horizontal way and that too, more than 2-3 times.

The prices of these jeans are also very high as the LEJE has priced Slash jeans at $375 which comes to Rs. 27,500 approx. in the Indian currency and L Jeans is priced at $528 that comes to Rs. 38,700 approx. in the Indian currency.

Twitterati was also quick to respond on these jeans and their pricing and here are some selected reactions:

Vaughan Says “If Kane Williamson Was Indian, He’d Be World’s Greatest Player”, Wasim Jaffer Reacts

Michael Vaughan, the former England cricketer, is quite active on social media and keeps on sharing his opinion on various issues related to cricket. Recently, the former skipper of the England cricket team said that the Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson would have been the greatest cricketer of the world if he had been an Indian.

The tweet was soon noticed by the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer who has a reputation of posting funny tweets. He has a great sense of wit and humour and he decided to pull Vaughan’s leg over the tweet.

Jaffer responded with a tweet in which he referred to Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan who has six fingers in one of his hands and wrote, “Extra ungli Hrithik ke paas hai par karta Michael Vaughan hai.”

Jaffer meant to say that Michael Vaughan has a habit of interfering in the matters of others, especially Indians.

Michael Vaughan noticed the comment made by Jaffer and he also replied with, “I presume you are agreeing with me Wasim!!”

Earlier, Michael Vaughan praised the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and called him a great cricketer just like the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Vaughan added that Williamson would have been the greatest cricketer if he had been an Indian but he is not because no one is allowed to say that “Virat Kohli isn’t the greatest” as it will make the Indian online users angry and they will troll you mercilessly.

Vaughan is of the opinion that if you want to get more likes and clicks, you should say that Virat Kohli is the greatest; however, Kane Williamson is also at the same level as Virat and that too in all the formats of the game. Michael Vaughan goes on to say that what makes Kane Williamson stand apart from others is his calm attitude, humbleness and the silent manner in which he does his work.

Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson will be facing each other soon in June as India and New Zealand are all set to clash in the finals of the World Test Championship which will be played at Rose Bowl, Southampton.

Here’s Why Prithvi Shaw Was Stopped By Cops On Way To Goa & Was Allowed Only On This Condition

The second wave of COVID-19 has affected India in an adverse manner and majority of the states have imposed lockdown or strict restrictions in order to stop the spread of the virus. Maharashtra has been leading in the list of the most affected Indian states so the state government has imposed lockdown like strict restrictions and the movement of the public within the state is also restricted. There are also some exceptions and people can travel under some conditions but they have to obtain an e-pass for that purpose. E-pass authorizes a person to travel within or outside state as it verifies that the person has taken the requisite permission from the authorities to travel.

The IPL 2021 was also postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic as some players and staff members tested COVID-19 positive. This has left many Indian cricketers with free time at their disposal and the young Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw thought of spending this time in Goa while having some fun.

Prithvi was a part of the Indian test team during the India-Australia series but he played only the first test match and was dropped from the playing XI for the remaining test matches. He was not able to make a comeback in the series against England and he is also not included in the team announced for the final of World Test Championship which India will play against New Zealand.

Prithvi Shaw decided to travel by road to Goa via Kolhapur as most of the flights are suspended and he did not seem to be aware of the rules and regulations of travelling in the lockdown period. Problems arose for the Indian cricketer when his journey was halted by the police in Amboli district as he was not able to show them e-pass because he hadn’t obtained it.

Prithvi Shaw tried to convince the police a lot but they didn’t budge and then the cricketer was not left with any option other than applying for an e-pass online through his smartphone and he was able to resume his travel after one hour post getting all the clearances.

Prithvi Shaw may have travelled to Goa for vacation but in these critical times, we will request our readers to stay indoors as much as possible and go out only if very necessary. Stay home and stay safe!

Twitter Roasts Tim Paine For Blaming Indians On Gabba Loss With ‘Sideshows’ & ‘Distract’ Remark

The India-Australia four match test series which was played in 2020-21 was certainly a historic one as India’s less experienced team not only won the test series but also breached Gabba where the Aussies had been invincible for the last 32 years.

Whenever the talk of India’s win of 2018 comes up, the Aussies gave the excuse that the Australian team was without their star batsmen Steve Smith and David Warner which is similar to the Indian team without Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. But in the series which has been played in 2020-21, the Australians had a star studded side while India went into the series without Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma.

The Indians suffered a humiliating defeat in the Adelaide test and after that, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli returned to India as he was on paternity leave. What made it more difficult for the Indian team was that the pacer Mohammad Shami also returned to India after suffering a fracture in his arm.

However, the Indian side under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane clinched victory in the Melbourne test, thus leveling the series by 1-1 and proving all those wrong who predicted a whitewash by the Aussies. The Sydney test was also a shocker for the Aussies as they had an upper hand for the first four days of the match but the Indians showed a great deal of commitment, determination and courage for saving the match which ended in draw. The three test matches were played, the series was leveled at 1-1 and the fourth test match was scheduled to be played at Gabba, Brisbane.

The majority of the cricketing world believed that the Australian team would win the Gabba test as they hadn’t lost there for the last 32 years plus many senior players of the Indian team were injured and nobody was giving any chance to the down-under Indian team. However, the tables turned upside down as the young Indian players rose to the situation and the Indian team won the Gabba test and the series as well.

Recently, the Australian skipper Tim Paine has opened up about the India-Australia series 2020-2021 and said that it is quite challenging to play against the Indians as they are pretty good at creating sideshows because of which the opposition loses focus from the game. Tim Paine said that the Indians kept on saying they would not be going to Gabba because of which they kept on wondering as to which would be the venue for the fourth test match and it affected their focus on the game.

Initially, the Indian team didn’t want to go to Brisbane as the quarantine rules were pretty hard over there. The Indian management was saying that they should be given some relaxation because they had already served their quarantine period after arriving in Australia and since then, they had been living in bio-bubble. However later on, things settled down, India went to play at Gabba and the rest is history.

The remarks of Tim Paine didn’t go well with the Indian cricket fans and they roasted him big time. Check out some selected tweets:

Ian Bell Speaks On His Famous Run-Out & Dhoni’s Heart-Warming Gesture During INDvsENG In 2011

MS Dhoni is termed as the one of the best and the coolest skippers of the world and there have been many incidents because of which Mahi has garnered love and affection of the cricket fans. One such incident took place in the four match test series which was played between India and England in 2011. The second test match was played at Nottingham and on the 3rd day of this test match just before the tea session, the England batsmen Ian Bell and Eoin Morgan were on the crease. Eoin Morgan played a shot towards the leg side, both the batsmen thought that it was a four so they moved away from the crease and started walking towards the pavilion as they thought that the game would be stopped for the tea session.

However in reality, the Indian fielder Praveen Kumar somehow managed to stop the ball from touching the boundary and he threw it towards MS Dhoni who in return threw it to Abhinav Mukund who removed the bails without wasting any time and Ian Bell was given out by the umpires.

Ian Bell was batting at 137 at that time and both the English batsmen drew a lot of criticism for their irresponsible behaviour. However, MS Dhoni withdrew his appeal and he called back Ian Bell to bat again who got out at 156. MS Dhoni was awarded with the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade for the heartwarming gesture that he showed.

Recently, the former English cricketer Ian Bell opened up about that incident and accepted that it was completely his mistake. While talking at The Grade Cricketer’s YouTube channel, Ian Bell states that when he looks back at that incident, he feels that he must have been very hungry or something like that because he started walking instantly towards pavilion as they both felt that ball had hit the boundary. He added that it made Dhoni win an award but there is no denying the fact that it was a mistake that he should not have committed.

Ian Bell also added that the period from 2011 to 2013 was peak time not just for him but for the English team as well because they won series at home as well as at Australia and India which is certainly a great thing in the test cricket. He was given the Man of the Series award for the 2013 Ashes which speaks highly of his performances.

Great sportsman spirit by MS Dhoni! Truly legend for a reason!
