Mitchell McClenaghan Gives Epic Responses To People Who Try To Troll Mumbai Indians On Twitter

Mumbai Indians, the IPL team which is being led by Rohit Sharma is the most successful team of the tournament as it has won the IPL title five times and has garnered a huge fan base by playing some wonderful cricket. However, it also has some haters or critics who are the fans of other teams which have not been as successful as MI.

Recently, the New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan conducted a question & answer session with his fans and he answered many questions related to his personal and professional lives. Mitchell made his debut in the IPL in 2015 for Mumbai Indians and he has played for only MI in his IPL career of 6 years.

The Kiwi cricketer was released by the Mumbai franchise before the IPL 2021 auctions and unfortunately for the cricketer, he went unsold. However still many times, we have seen Mitchell McClenaghan standing in support of MI against those online users who feel that the matches of MI are fixed and the owners – Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani use their money power to make their team win the IPL.

When one user called Mumbai Indians as Mumbai Umpire Indians, Mitchell McClenaghan gave a pretty good response as he asked the netizen whether he supports one of the other less successful franchises?

Another user tweeted Ambani Indians and to this, Mitchell gave an epic reply by tweeting, “Yup they own the team”.

One user who was pretty unhappy with Mumbai Indians and wanted to prove that the team wins by using the power of money tweeted, “Mumbai=money=trophy” but Mitchell McClenaghan responded by telling the user that the team can get money by winning trophies as prize money is kept for the winner.

Another user tried to troll Mitchell McClenaghan by saying that he must be dreaming to play for New Zealand and Mitchell shut him down by telling him that he has been there, done that and did well.

Mitchell McClenaghan is the fastest Kiwi bowler to take 50 wickets for New Zealand in ODIs and this is certainly a big achievement.

The 34 years old cricketer has played 56 IPL matches and has taken 71 wickets. Though Mitchell was a part of MI in the IPL 2020 which was played in UAE, he didn’t get the chance to play even one match in the whole season.

As far as the IPL 2021 is concerned, MI is at the 4th place with 4 wins in 7 matches that it has played and it needs to change its gears if it really wants to win the league this year.

Stephen Fleming Talks About The Spread Out Field Set By Dhoni For Kieron Pollard On Last Ball

Kieron Pollard is the man of the moment as he ensured his team Mumbai Indians’ victory in the match against Chennai Super Kings by playing a blistering knock of 87 runs not out for which he played just 34 deliveries and his innings included 6 fours and 8 sixes.

Batting first, MS Dhoni led CSK put up a huge score of 218/4 on the score board with the help of some good knocks by Faf du Plessis (50) and Moeen Ali (58). However, it was Ambati Rayudu who made the lives of the MI bowlers hell as he completed his fifty in just 20 balls. He remained till the end scoring 72 not out for which he faced only 27 balls and his innings included 4 fours & 7 sixes.

MI also responded in a good manner as the openers – Quinton de Kock (38) and Rohit Sharma (35) gave a steady start but it was Kieron Pollard who wreaked havoc on the CSK bowlers. On the last ball of the innings, MI needed 2 runs to win and the CSK skipper set the field which was completely spread out. However, still CSK was not able to stop Pollard from scoring 2 runs as he played the ball towards long on and took 2 runs.

Now Stephen Fleming, the former New Zealand cricketer and current head coach of CSK, has defended the field setting which was done by MS Dhoni for Kieron Pollard on the last ball. Fleming said that he was not surprised by the field setting as Pollard is a great timer of the ball and it is really impossible to understand what he is going to do next.

Fleming added that they were hoping for something like stumps to be hit just like what happened in the final of the IPL 2019. In the press conference, Stephen Fleming states that there are many things as well other than last ball on which they need to focus and work on.

The MI skipper Rohit Sharma was very happy after winning against CSK and in the press conference, he said that it was a great innings by Pollard and he had not seen this type of chase in the whole life. Rohit Sharma further stated that he is proud of the boys and the efforts that they made for winning the match.

That was certainly one of the most exciting matches of the IPL history. What do you say?

Cricket is one of the most popular games of the world and it won’t be wrong to say that the main reason behind the game’s popularity are the great cricketers who have mesmerized us with their skills over the years and one such cricketer is the West Indian legend Brian Lara.

Today is certainly a very special day for the former West Indian cricketer and his fans as it is the birthday of Brian Lara but he has chosen not to celebrate the occasion because of the crisis that the whole world is facing as of now.

Twitter Goes Berserk As Kieron Pollard’s Smashing Knock Snatches Victory From CSK’s Hands

The IPL match between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings which was played yesterday at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi, will always be remembered as one of the most exciting and thrilling matches of the IPL history.

MI which is the most successful team of the league as it has won the title five times may have won the match by 4 wickets but it was quite a close game and the fortunes kept on swinging till the last delivery on which MI’s Kieron Pollard sealed the fate of the match by making his team win it.

The toss in this hyped match was won by MI and it decided to bowl first and their decision seemed to prove correct when Ruturaj Gaikwad got dismissed early. However, Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali not just stabilized the innings but also wreaked havoc on the MI bowlers as they both shared a partnership of 108 runs for the second wicket. Faf du Plessis scored 50 runs in 28 balls (2 fours & 4 sixes) and Moeen Ali scored 58 runs for which he faced 36 deliveries (5 fours & 5 sixes) but the man who enabled CSK in crossing the 200 mark was Ambati Rayudu.

Ambati Rayudu ripped apart the MI bowlers and completed his half century in 20 balls. Rayudu remained not out at 72 runs (27, 4 fours & 7 sixes) and CSK put up a score of 218/4 on the scoreboard which was certainly a huge one.

In response, MI made a steady start with their openers Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma sharing a 71 run partnership for the first wicket. Quinton played useful knock of 38 runs in 28 deliveries (4 fours & 1 six) and the skipper Rohit Sharma also played a good innings of 35 runs for which he played 24 balls (4 fours & 1 six). Another batsman who batted well was Krunal Pandya as he scored 32 runs in 23 balls (2 fours & 2 sixes) but the star of the night was Kieron Pollard who was no less than a nightmare for the CSK bowlers as the West Indian batsman scored 87 runs of just 34 deliveries and his innings included 6 fours and 8 sixes.

MI needed 2 runs on the last delivery of their innings and Kieron Pollard ensured that the match did not go into the super over by taking two runs and making his team won the match. Pollard was adjudged as the player of the match as he performed well not only with bat but with ball too as he took 2 wickets in the 2 overs that he bowled and gave 12 runs.

Twitterati also went berserk after watching this match as 437 runs were scored in the 40 overs, both the sides hit 30 fours and 30 sixes and some big names such as Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Lungi Ngidi, etc. were hammered mercilessly. One thing that also made this match special was the fact that it was the first time that MI successfully chased the target of 200 or more in the IPL history.

PBKS Takes A Hilarious Dig At RCB For Losing Match By Sharing Pic Of Chahal & Chris Gayle

The IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered its second defeat in the IPL 2021 yesterday in the match against Punjab Kings (earlier Kings XI Punjab) which was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. RCB is on the 3rd spot with 5 wins and 2 defeats in the 7 matches while PBKS is at the 5th position with 3 wins and 4 defeats in the 7 matches that it has played till now.

The toss was won by Virat Kohli-led RCB and it decided to bowl first. Though PBKS lost their opener Prabhsimran Singh early, the skipper KL Rahul and Chris Gayle ensured that they took their team towards a big total. While KL Rahul remained not out at 91 runs in 57 balls (7 fours & 5 sixes) and Chris Gayle scored 46 runs in 24 deliveries (6 fours & 2 sixes), no other PBKS batsman managed to make a good score. The only other PBKS batsman who contributed well was Harpreet Brar who scored 25 runs for which he played 17 deliveries (1 four & 2 sixes). PBKS put up a score of 179/5 in its stipulated 20 overs which was not a great one considering the batting line-up of RCB.

It won’t be wrong to say that it was Harpreet Brar’s day because after scoring a quick 25, he weaved magic with ball as he took three important wickets (Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers) for his team. The Bangalore franchise managed only 145/8 in 20 overs and PBKS won the match by 34 runs. Harpreet Brar was adjudged as the player of the match for his superb performance with both bat and the bowl.

The social media handles of all the IPL franchises are also pretty active nowadays and they leave no stone unturned in having some fun and making their fans laugh. After the match, the official Twitter handle of PBKS posted a funny tweet which had an image featuring Chris Gayle and Yuzvendra Chahal posing together without shirts while Sachin Baby was clicking both of them. The image was shared with the caption, “If we have to summarize #PBKSvRCB”.

Will PBKS be able to win their first IPL title this year?

Mohd. Yousuf Gives It Back To Kohli’s Critics Over Hitting Tons, “Jitney Praise Karo Isko Kum Hai”

Virat Kohli led IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore has been performing pretty well in the IPL 2021, though it has lost its last match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) which was played yesterday at the Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad. RCB is at the third position in the points table with 5 wins and 2 defeats in the 7 matches that it has played till now.

Virat Kohli has been leading from the front and performing well in the IPL 2021 but if we take a look at his international career, he has not been able to make a big score for quite some time now. The last time when Virat Kohli scored a century was in Nov 2019 against Bangladesh in a test match which was played at Kolkata.

However, the former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has come in support of the Indian skipper, saying that Virat is just 32 years old and this is time when the top batsmen hit their prime, adding that it is just a matter of time that Virat will start scoring centuries again. Yousuf goes to say that whatever Virat has already achieved is really great and scoring 70 International centuries in both the formats (ODIs and test matches) is certainly extreme.

During an interview to a leading daily, Mohammad Yousuf also talks about the comparison between Virat Kohli and the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Yousuf adds that how much we praise Virat Kohli, it is not sufficient (jitney praise karo isko kum hai) but there is no comparison between him and Sachin Tendulkar.

According to Mohammad Yousuf, Sachin Tendulkar is of different class and scoring 100 international centuries is a big achievement plus we should also not forget the bowlers whom he faced.

The former Pakistani cricketer accepts that the Indian batsmen are technically more sound in comparison to the Pakistani batsmen when they have some great icons to look up to. He concludes by calling himself lucky enough to be coached by former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad and also added that he took inspiration from great Pakistani batsmen – Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-Ul-Haq.

We are also quite sure that it is just a matter of time that Virat Kohli will start hitting hundreds once again. What do you think?

Scott Styris Reveals That This Quality Of Mumbai Indians Makes It The Most Successful IPL Team

Mumbai Indians is certainly facing a tough phase in the IPL 2021 as the 5 times IPL winner is on the fourth position with 3 wins and 3 defeats in the 6 matches that it has played. However, we still just can’t deny the fact that it is the most successful team of the league and recently Scott Styris, the former New Zealand cricketer, has revealed the reason behind MI’s success.

Scott Styris is of the opinion that MI has been pretty good in scouting talent and then the youngsters are not only given opportunity at the right time but they are also provided training by the franchise. Scott Styris also gives the examples of three youngsters – Jasprit Bumrah and Pandya brothers.

Jasprit Bumrah joined the Mumbai camp when he was quite young and in 2013, he got the chance to play for the team. In 2015, Hardik Pandya made his debut for MI and next year in 2016, his elder brother Krunal Pandya was also included in the squad. The training that these youngsters got while playing for MI also helped them in securing their places in the Indian squad.

According to the cricketer turned commentator Scott Styris, the manner in which MI does scouting is pretty similar to what basketball and baseball teams do in United States of America. Styris states that he is a big fan of American sports and scouting is done in a big manner over there. He goes on to say that because of scouting, MI has been able to find and develop talents like Jasprit Bumrah and Pandya brothers.

While speaking on a show, Scott Styris says that MI has a big team for scouting which includes Kiran More and recently Parthiv Patel has also joined. He is presently working as a commentator but if he is not doing commentary, he is engaged in scouting talent all over the world.

MI has recently picked up a young South African pacer Marco Jensen who has not even found a proper place in the domestic circuits of the SA cricket, leave aside the international circuit. Scott Styris adds that the MI scouting team searches for talent even below the first class level and if a team wants to be consistently successfully, it should have a good scouting team.

MI won the IPL in 2013 for the first time and then they won the league in 2015, 2017, 2019 and last year as well.

So scouting is the secret of MI’s success!!! Other teams, are you listening?
