Virat Kohli’s Excited Reaction To Glenn Maxwell’s Fifty Led To Hilarious Memes On Twitter

Glenn Maxwell has certainly surprised everyone with the brilliant knocks that he has played for his new team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2021. Maxwell has been targeted a lot by the former Indian cricketers and cricketing experts for his dismal performances in the tournament in the past and because of his below average performance in the IPL 2020, he was released by Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL 2021 auctions. Though Maxwell didn’t have a good track record in the league, still there was a good contest among the franchises in order to purchase Maxwell and RCB bought him by paying a whopping amount.

RCB is sitting at the top of the points table with three wins in the three matches that they have played and in all the matches, Glenn Maxwell has played an important role. In the last match of RCB which was played against Kolkata Knight Riders, Glenn Maxwell played a sensational innings of 78 runs for which he faced only 49 deliveries and paved the way for his team to make a huge score. AB de Villiers also played a beautiful innings of 76 runs (34) and RCB posted a huge total of 204/4 in the stipulated 20 overs.

The RCB skipper Virat Kohli is quite an expressive person and his happiness had no bounds when Maxwell completed his half-century as Kohli clapped in quite a different style which has now become a meme material.

Here are some selected memes by Virat’s fans and the social media users:

As far as the match is concerned, KKR managed only 166/8 in the 20 overs and the Bangalore franchise won that match by 38 runs.

Do you think that RCB will be able to win their first IPL title if Maxwell continues to play in the same manner in the league?

Dhoni’s Fans Hit Back At Haters Who Compare His Full-Stretch Dive In IPL With 2019 WC Semi-Final

The former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni took retirement from the international cricket last year but the good thing is that we are still seeing him playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2021. The last international match that Dhoni played for India was the semi-final of the 2019 ICC World Cup in which India got defeated by New Zealand. In that match, Dhoni got run out and everyone was quite surprised to see that Mahi who is a great athlete didn’t try to save his wicket by making a dive.

However, the sad memories of the 2019 World Cup semi-final got refreshed once again in the IPL match which was played recently between CSK and Rajasthan Royals (RR). In the 15th over of the CSK innings which was bowled by Rahul Tewatia, Dhoni pushed the ball to the cover region but Ravindra Jadeja refused from running because of which Dhoni had to run back to the striker’s end and for saving his wicket, he had to stretch his body and make a dive.

Here is the photo in which you can see Dhoni making a full length dive and saving his wicket.

However, soon the haters of Mahi started comparing his efforts of the recent match with the efforts that he made in the 2019 ICC World Cup semi-final against New Zealand which India lost by 18 runs. Here are some reactions by the trollers:

MS Dhoni had an illustrious career at the international level and he is the only skipper who has won all the three ICC trophies including the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011. As far as the IPL is concerned, MS Dhoni has been leading CSK since the inaugural edition of 2008 and he is the second most successful skipper of the IPL as CSK has won the league three times under his leadership.

The wicketkeeper batsman who is also called Captain Cool by his fans has a huge fan base. His followers were not able to see their favourite player getting targeted by the trollers and they decided to give it back to the haters in a perfect manner.

Here is the response by Dhoni fans:

Fans Trend “Jadeja Everywhere” As They Praise The GOAT Fielder For Taking 4 Catches In CSKvsRR

Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian all-rounder, is certainly one of the best fielders of the world and he is an asset for whichever team he plays because he contributes not only with the bat and ball but with his fielding as well.

Though Moeen Ali may have been adjudged as the player of the match in the last match of Chennai Super Kings which was against Rajasthan Royals, we can’t ignore the essential fact that Ravindra Jadeja also played an important role in CSK’s win as he not only took four catches while fielding but also dismissed two batsmen with his bowling including the wicket of Jos Buttler (49), the highest scorer of RR who could have increased the chances of RR’s win to a great extent if Jadeja had not got him out. Ravindra Jadeja took catches of Manan Vohra, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris and Jaydev Unadkat.

The fans of Jadeja were also very excited with his brilliant performance and they expressed their happiness on the social media networks, especially on the micro-blogging site Twitter. In fact, some of his fans called him the greatest of all times (G.O.A.T) fielder. Here are some selected reactions:

Some time ago, the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan slammed the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) for not including Ravindra Jadeja in the A+ category (Rs. 7 crore) when the board announced the list of 28 Indian cricketers who were awarded with the annual contracts.

Michael Vaughan called it a disgrace that Jadeja was not included in the top category after Virat Kohli and post Jadeja’s wonderful performance in the match against RR, Vaughan once again took to Twitter and wrote, “That’s exactly why @imjadeja is so so so valuable to any team … How the @BCCI don’t have him in the top contract bracket is beyond me … !!!!!! #IPL …”

Not only Michael Vaughan but the former national selector MSK Prasad also expressed surprise over Jadeja not being included in top bracket because Jadeja not only plays in all the three formats for the country but also has good ICC rankings.

As of now, Jadeja is everywhere on the social media and this man has to perform well if CSK wants to win the IPL 2021. What do you say?

Here’s What Dhoni Said About “Getting Old And Being Fit” After CSK Won Against RR

MS Dhoni must be a happy man as his team Chennai Super Kings has been performing quite well in comparison to the last IPL which was held in UAE due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the IPL 2021, CSK has played three matches and it is sitting at the second position with 2 wins while Royal Challengers Bangalore is sitting at the top spot with three wins in the three matches that it has played.

The last match that CSK played was against Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai franchise won it by 45 runs. Batting first, CSK put up a total of 188 runs on the board in the 20 overs which proved to be too much for RR as it could manage only 143 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in its stipulated 20 overs. The pick of the bowlers for CSK was Moeen Ali who picked 3 wickets in his 3 overs and gave away only 7 runs. Moeen Ali was adjudged as the player of the match as he not only took wickets but also made a decent contribution of 26 runs with the bat.

In an interaction with the mediapersons after the match, the winning skipper MS Dhoni opens up on the matter of his fitness and says that getting old and being fit are two difficult things and though it is difficult to keep up with the youngsters in the team, it will be a big positive for him if nobody is able to call him unfit. Dhoni says that he loves to challenge youngsters but at the same time, he also states that he didn’t guarantee performances when he was 24 and he is not doing that even today but he is trying his best to stay fit as it feels very bad if someone calls him unfit.

Speaking on the match against RR, he says that he is happy as the team got around 180 but they could have scored more. Talking about his bowlers, he praised Moeen Ali for his bowling and added that Sam also bowled pretty well. Dhoni said that the wicket was not only turning but was also getting sticky, he added that even the wet ball was turning which means that there are good chances of dry ball spinning.

The RR skipper Sanju Samson said that his bowlers bowled well but his team gave 10-15 extra runs. He further stated that his team lost many wickets in middle overs which made it difficult for them to win. Sanju also added that he was shocked to see that the ball was turning without the dew.

Do you feel that CSK will win the IPL title fourth time?

Chahar has played an important role in the last two matches that have been won by the Rohit Sharma-led side. How To Protect Yourself From Air Pollution

The risk for the world environment is highest from air pollution. Many of our metros like Chennai face air pollution.

What is air pollution?

Air pollution is unclean, unsafe air mixed with dust, smoke or gases.

What causes air pollution?

Air pollution is caused by aerosols of some gases or solid and liquid particles suspended in the air. They can come from factories, vehicles exhaust, dust, wildfires, pollens or volcanoes. Sources of air pollution indoors are detergents, shoe polish, paints and aerosol sprays.

Who is at risk for air pollution?

People living near extensive industrial facilities or polluted urban areas are at the highest risk of air pollution.

Effect of air pollution:

The effect of air pollution is not just some dust on the face or damp hair. The ill effect of air pollution goes far beyond bad hair days and dirty skin. Air pollution also crosses boundaries to affect the entire world. As winds carry some air pollutants, air pollution crosses continents, affecting global weather and climate. The aerosols or contaminants can be harmful to our health. It can cause health disorders like asthma, heart disease and cancer.

Long term exposure to air pollution plays havoc on your skin health. Smog and dust combine with the sun’s ultraviolet rays to create free radicals. These free radicals deplete oxygen levels in the cells of the skin and disrupt the production of collagen. It can result in dry, wrinkled, greyish skin with acne and patches.

If you stay in a polluted city or town, make it a point to have regular health checkup to prevent any health complications. Invest in a good health card so that your financial worries don’t add to your stress.

Protection from air pollution: It is essential to protect your health from air pollution. Eminent dermatologists in Chennai have suggested the following tips to prevent toxins from air pollution from causing health damage.

  1. Forecasts: Local air quality changes with time due to the impact weather patterns. Educating yourself about air pollution in your area by checking daily air pollution forecasts. You can plan your activities according to the forecasts. Shut your doors and windows when the air quality is poor. Switch on the fans and air conditioners.
  2. Sunscreen lotion: Use a high-quality waterproof sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30. Apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before venturing out. Even on a cloudy day, 80 per cent of radiation from the UV rays reaches the earth. Sunscreen reduces exposure to UV rays and protects against skin damage and skin cancer.  Dermatologists in Chennai recommend sunscreen lotion according to your skin type.
  3. Exercise: When the air pollution levels are high, avoid exercising outdoors. Restrict outdoor activities for your child if air quality is poor. When the air quality is unhealthy, you can work out indoors or in a gym. Vehicles in high traffic zones can create air pollution up to one-third of a mile away. It is better to avoid exercising near high traffic areas. You can walk, bike or jog in areas with less traffic with lesser exhaust levels.
  4. Carpools and public transport: Walk, carpool or ride your bike to work. Use public transportation like buses or trains instead of driving your car.
  5. Seasonal products: On a visit to the supermarket, you can pick up a fruit or vegetable or another eatable from any part of the world. Your favourite food items have to travel long distances to make it to your supermarket. While buying these items, you also pay the price for air pollution caused by long-distance transportation.
  6. Save energy at home: The more you generate electricity and other energy sources, the more you contribute to air pollution. When you reduce the use of energy, you can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. During the daytime, open the curtains and let natural light in. Use LED lights. Unplug appliances that are not in use. Don’t switch on the air conditioners continuously, even in summer. You can open the windows at night and switch on the fans. Learn to use appliances smartly. For instance, your washing machine should be complete before you run it. The same goes for your dishwasher.
  7. Nutritious diet: A diet that is rich in antioxidants strengthens your immune system. Include plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, seeds, yoghurt, eggs and fish in your diet. Eat citrus fruits or drink lemon water to get vitamin C. Avoid processed food, ready to eat foods and reduce intake of sugar and salt.
  8. Clean filters: Regularly cleans filters of air conditioners and heaters. If your house is exposed to dust, you may have to replace or clean filters frequently.
  9. Burning firewood: Burning of firewood or trash should be strictly prohibited as wood smoke contains many toxic and carcinogenic chemicals. It releases carbon that can accelerate climate warming.
  10. Smoking: Smoking can cause multiple health issues and age your skin rapidly. If you are a smoker, please quit this habit. Both first hand and second-hand smoking can cause health and skin damage. Smoking narrows blood vessels in your skin, damages collagen and causes premature wrinkles.
  11. Air-purifier: Buy an air purifier for your home, especially if you live in a polluted city. Air purifier filters pollen and pollutants out of the air.
  12. Supplements: Apart from a nutrient-dense diet, you may need to use nutritional supplements to get antioxidants. With age, your absorption capacity decreases. Secondly, the soil has, over the years, become depleted of nutrients due to environmental damage. Your dermatologist may prescribe supplements like vitamin C, zinc, vitamin E and probiotics. With a health card that lets you pay in EMIs, your financial worries are ably looked after.
  13. Cleanser: Use a mild cleanser regularly and exfoliate your skin twice a week to remove pollutants from your skin.

Make sure to follow all these tips and protect yourself from air pollution. Spreading awareness about air pollution is crucial as we need more and more people working united worldwide to conquer air pollution.
