Sameera Reddy Speaks Up On Being Real, Sporting Grey Hair & Challenging Beauty Standards

The looks are of great importance in the film industry and not just the actresses but the actors also choose to go under the knife in order to make themselves look young. However, there is one person from B-Town who wants the world to see her as she is in reality. That’s not all, she also wants people to love and adore themselves as they are.

We are talking about the actress Sameera Reddy who once took the film industry by storm with her beauty and s*nsuality. Recently, she has given an interview to a leading daily in which she has talked about sharing her photos with grey hair, textured skin, etc. and the manner in which her fans respond to it.

Sameera stated that when she showed her stretch marks, grey hair and belly on the social media, many people slammed her and unfollowed her. She further adds that she is happy that such people have unfollowed her because she wants only right people to follow her and she is grateful to those who are following her.

Talking about the slamming that she gets, she really does not care about it but she has no idea why people become unhappy because of her white hair. She also revealed that many of them asked her to cover it up and several others even went on to ask what’s wrong with her.

Sameera Reddy is of the opinion that social media is not a place where people can make others happy and such unreal parameters have been set for beauty that now we have become victims of it and we are unable to break this process. She says that she doesn’t blame people for not being able to cope up with the real image of someone on the social media because we have conditioned in such manner for a long time now.

Do you agree with Sameera Reddy that people should love as they are rather than trying to cover up their age?

CBSE Cancels Board Exams For Class 10 & Postpones For 12th, Students Celebrate With A Meme Fest

The second wave of COVID-19 has hit India pretty hard and for the first time, the count of infected patients in 24 hours has crossed the mark of 2 lakhs in the country. The situation in some states of India is still not very bad but in several states, the situation is quite terrible and it is going to deteriorate in coming time if the state governments don’t choose to take strict actions.

Earlier some time back, everybody felt that the coronavirus pandemic is in control and soon things will get back to normal but then the virus made a comeback and this time it is more harmful than the last time. What is more worrisome is that new variant of COVID-19 has also been found in many Indian states and it is not only spreading faster but is also more lethal this time. If you remember, in the first wave of COVID-19, people with less immunity power, people above 60 years of age and kids below 10 years of age were more vulnerable to the virus but this time, the youngsters of the age group of 20-40 are also getting infected.

The online classes were carried out by the schools in order to ensure that the studies of students did not get affected and as the situation was getting better, some states had also opened their schools with some restrictions. However keeping in the mind the present scenario, the schools have been closed once again and the kids are getting promoted to other classes on the basis of internal analysis.

Representational Image

Recently, the school kids and their parents demanded the cancellation or postponement of board exams because no parent wants to risk the lives of their loved ones by sending them to school for examinations. Taking into consideration present situation and the risk factor associated with it, the education minister had a meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after which the CBSE board took the decision of cancelling the class 10 board exams and postponing the class 12 board exams. The new dates of Class 12 exams will be notified on June 1 and the results of class 10 will be made on the basis of the objective criterion that will be prepared by the Board. However if any student is not happy with the result, he/she can give the exams whenever they take place.

As soon as this news went viral, memers took this an opportunity to have some fun and soon the micro-blogging site Twitter was flooded with reactions. Here are some of the selected ones:

Virender Sehwag Uses Shah Rukh’s Song To Give Advice To SRH After They Lost Two IPL Matches

David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad has started the IPL 2021 on a very bad note as it has lost its first two matches and both of them were pretty close games. The Hyderabad franchise is sitting at the seventh position after losing the first match against Kolkata Knight Riders by 10 runs and yesterday it lost its second match by 6 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the SRH vs RCB match, the toss was won by David Warner led team and it decided to bowl first. The SRH bowlers performed pretty well as they restricted RCB at a small score of 149/8. The highest scorer for RCB was Glenn Maxwell who scored 59 runs in 41 deliveries (5 fours & 3 sixes) and the skipper Virat Kohli also made a useful contribution of 33 runs but other than these two, no other RCB batsman was able to face the SRH bowlers effectively. Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers for SRH as he took 3 wickets in his 4 overs and gave 30 runs.

The start of SRH batting was disappointed as Wriddhiman Saha got out at the score of 1 after playing 9 balls but skipper David Warner along with Manish Pandey stabilized the innings. While David Warner scored 54 runs in 37 balls (7 fours & 1 six), Manish Pandey made 38 runs in 39 deliveries (2 fours & 2 sixes) before getting out. However after these two got dismissed, no other SRH batsman was able to play a big innings and as a result, SRH lost the match by 6 runs.

The former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has given a piece of advice to the orange army by posting a photo of the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and quoting a song from Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Main Hoon Na” which is sung by Sonu Nigam. Virender Sehwag wrote, “Kiska hai yeh tumko intezaar, Main hoon Na”.

Here is the tweet:

In simple words, Viru wants to suggest SRH that their batting problems can be solved by including Kane Williamson in the playing eleven.

However in an interview earlier, the head coach of SRH Trevor Bayliss said that Kane needed some more time to recover from the left-elbow injury that he sustained in the series against Bangladesh.

According to Trevor, they may have played Kane in place of Jonny Bairstow but as of now, Kane Williamson is still not completely recovered and he also needs to spend some time in the nets. But Trevor has made it clear that Kane Williamson will certainly come in picture as the tournament proceeds.

SRH will be playing their next match against the defending champions Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

Wasim Jaffer Wishes Babar Azam On Becoming No.1 ODI Batsman But Also Warns Him Against Kohli

Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, is one of the best batsmen of all the times and his statistics are more than enough to prove this statement. In fact, he has proved his supremacy over the other batsmen by retaining the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI rankings for record 1258 days.

However as per the latest development, the skipper of Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam has acquired the number one spot because of his superb performances in the three match ODI series against South Africa. In those three ODIs, Babar Azam scored total 228 runs (103, 31 and 94) with an average of 76. After he played the brilliant knock of 94 in the last ODI which helped his team in winning the match, Babar Azam earned 13 points because of which his total points increased to 865, leaving behind the Indian skipper on the second spot with 857.

The batsman on the third spot with 825 points is also from India and he is none other than Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of team India in the shorter format.

The former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer who has made a reputation of posting funny tweets on various matters took the opportunity of congratulating the Pakistani skipper but he also gave him some words of caution citing the love of Virat Kohli for chasing.

Wasim Jaffer shared ICC’s tweet with the caption, “Congratulations @babarazam258 , well deserved. But don’t get too comfy at the top, you know how much Virat Kohli loves chasing”.

Babar Azam is presently leading his team in the four match T20I series against South Africa. In the third T20 which was played at Centurion, he played a match-winning knock of 122 runs for which he played only 59 deliveries and ensured that his team achieved the target as the hosts put up a total of 203/5 after batting first. Pakistan is leading the series by 2-1 after winning the third T20I.

On the other hand, presently Virat Kohli is leading his team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2021 which is sitting at the top in the points table with 2 wins in the 2 matches.

Virat Kohli needs to wait a little in order to regain his position in the ICC ODI rankings because the next ODI series that India will play is scheduled in June against Sri Lanka.

Nawazuddin Slams Superstars For Fake Acting, Has A Piece Of Advice For Young Aspiring Actors

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of those Bollywood actors who have made it big in the industry without any Godfather and over the time, he has also proved that he is one of the most talented and versatile actors of the entertainment world. Nawazuddin used to work as a chemist in Vadodara but his love for acting brought him to Mumbai and his journey was quite difficult as he did small roles in many movies before working in lead roles.

While talking to a leading daily, Nawazuddin advised the young aspiring actors that they should not lose their originality. The “Lunchbox” actor has also taken a jibe at superstars by saying that the superstars do fake acting so the young actors should not get influenced by them.

He adds that he will like to see only acting of only those who will have something original and good to show. Nawazuddin further questions as to why he should see someone act who acts like the superstars as there will be no originality.

The 46 years old actor also talked about the rising popularity of digital platforms and said that initially it was all about the cause and the passion of the actors who want to make big on these platforms.

Nawazuddin goes on to say that now the big actors are also getting interested in OTTs because the cinema halls are closed due to lockdown and some big OTT platforms are also taking the big actors which is not good. The “Scared Games” star also questioned as to why these big actors didn’t come earlier on OTTs.

We hope that the young aspiring actors will definitely listen to the advice given by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Mandira Bedi Shuts Down Hater Who Calls Her Adopted Daughter “Prop” From A “Slumdog Centre”

Social media offers a great platform to all and sundry, be it celebrities or common people, and just like a coin, it too has two sides and it depends on a person how to use it. There are many people on the virtual world who spread hatred, they especially target celebrities for their dressing sense, their work, etc. But sometimes all the limits are crossed when the haters make cheap comments about the kids of celebrities. It is the time when proper action has to be taken against them and the actress Mandira Bedi did the right thing when someone targeted her adopted daughter.

Last year, actress Mandira Bedi and her hubby Raj Kaushal adopted a four years old girl and they made an announcement regarding it on the social media networks. The couple who also has a son Vir named their new family member as Tara Bedi Kaushal.

Recently, an Instagram user made a derogatory comment on one of the photos posted by Mandira Bedi on her Instagram account. He wrote, “Madam from which slumdog centre did you adopt your prop daughter?” and further added, “The adopted street kid looks completely out of place… u greedy narcissists are scarring the slumdog for life.”

This is not the first time that Mandira has been trolled on the social media but this time, she was in no mood to let the person go without public shaming him. She took the screenshot of the comment and posted it on her stories with the caption, “People like this need to be given a special mention @bollywoodforevaa. You got my attention, you piece of s**t.”

She further added, “More from the model citizen. He calls himself Rajesh Tripathi, which definitely isn’t his name because sickos like this are the biggest cowards too, who only know how to wag their tongues behind the shield of anonymity.”

Targeting kids is disgusting and appalling and such haters deserve a mouthful! Shame on such people!

Andre Russell Reacts To Shah Rukh Khan’s Apology Tweet After KKR Lost Against MI

Fans of Kolkata Knight Riders must be very disappointed as yesterday their team lost a match against Mumbai Indians and what must have hurt them the most is the fact that at one point of time, KKR seemed to be sure shot winner of the match.

The co-owner of KKR Shah Rukh Khan was also very upset with his team’s performance and he made a tweet in which he apologized to the fans for such a dismal performance of the team. SRK tweeted, “Disappointing performance. To say the least @KKRiders apologies to all the fans!”

The match was played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, and KKR decided to bowl first after winning the toss. The bowlers of KKR bowled superbly as they limited the defending champions to a small score of 151. Andre Russell was the highest wicket taker with 5 wickets in his 2 overs and he gave only 15 runs. The highest scorer for MI was Suryakumar Yadav who scored 56 runs in 36 balls (7 fours & 2 sixes) while the skipper Rohit Sharma also made a useful contribution of 43 runs in 32 deliveries (3 fours and 1 six).

KKR had a great start in batting too as their openers played brilliantly and shared a partnership of 72 runs for the first wicket. While Nitish Rana scored 57 in 47 balls (6 fours & 2 sixers), Shubman Gill made 33 runs in 24 deliveries (5 fours & 1 six) but no other KKR batsman was able to contribute properly. As a result, KKR managed only 142 runs in their stipulated 20 overs and MI won the match by 10 runs.

However, there was a time when KKR was in a very strong position as at the end of 15 overs, they were 122/4 which means that they needed to score 30 runs in 30 balls with 6 wickets in hands. Rahul Chahar was the highest wicket-taker for MI as he sent 4 KKR batsmen back to the dug-out in his 4 overs and gave 27 runs and he was also adjudged as the player of the match for his superb performance.

During the post-match virtual press conference when Andre Russell was asked about the apologizing tweet of the co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, the cricketer says that he supports his tweet but in the end, it is a game of cricket and nothing can be said about it until the last ball is bowled.

Russell is known for his hard-hitting batting style but in yesterday’s match, he was not able to score runs at a quick rate as he made merely 9 runs in 15 balls before getting out. Talking about the match, he says that they are certainly disappointed but it is just the second match so they will take lessons from it and he is still proud of his team as they have played good cricket.

On the question of the sudden collapse of his team, Andre Russell says that he has played many T20 games and he has seen many times that a team which is in the driving position suddenly loses wickets and the new batsmen find problem in scoring runs and this is what has happened in this match as well. Talking about the wicket, Russell says that it is not an easy pitch to bat on, especially for the new batsmen and it is difficult to start hitting shots from the first ball. As per him, no matter how good a batsman may be, he will certainly need a couple of balls to settle over there.

The match between MI and KKR has proved that T20 cricket is not always about hard-hitting and sometimes the bowlers can also dictate the terms. What do you say?
