Rekha, the veteran B-Town star, is certainly one of the finest actresses of all times and she has ruled not only in Bollywood but in southern industry as well. Her complete name is Bhanurekha Ganesan and the actress has been starred in around 180 films. She has also won three Filmfare Awards along with a National Award and what makes her stand apart from all other actresses of her time is the fact that increasing age is not having any effect on her.
The veteran actress doesn’t work much in movies now but recently she appeared on the singing reality show Indian Idol 12 and once again made her fans crazy with her smile, beauty and the love that she shared with the contestants and the judges. However, there was one moment when everyone was in splits because of what Rekha said in response to a question asked by the host Jay Bhanushali.
Jay Bhanushali’s question was, “Rekhaji, Nehu, kabhi aapne dekha hai ki koi aurat itna pagal ho rahi hai kisi aadmi ke liye, woh bhi shaadishuda aadmi ke liye?” (Rekhaji, Nehu, have you ever seen a woman falling hard for a man, that too for a married man?)
Before anyone could respond, Rekha said, “Mujhse puchiye na” (ask me).
While Jay Bhanushali was left confused, the judges of the show Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar and parents of the contestants were seen laughing, clapping and giving standing ovation to Rekha for her reply. Later, Jay said that wow that was a sixer.
The video clip is from a promo of the show and Jay Bhanushali has replaced the original host of the show Aditya Narayan after the latter tested positive for COVID-19.
Earlier veteran actress Neetu Kapoor also appeared on the show and in the past, many other celebrities too have graced the stage of Indian Idol.
What is your take on the response given by Rekha? Let us know.
Mumbai Indians is certainly the strongest team of the IPL and the most successful as well as it has already won the tournament five times. Moreover after winning the IPL 2020, it has become the second team to retain the title post Chennai Super Kings. There is no denying the fact that MI is the favourites for winning the league this year too and if they are able to repeat their success, it will be a hattrick for them.
Recently, the former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra talked about the strong points of MI and showered praises on the MI skipper Rohit Sharma. According to Aakash Chopra, the biggest strong point of MI is the Indian core which has three Indian superstars – one of the best batsmen of the white ball cricket – Rohit Sharma, one of the best pacers – Jasprit Bumrah and one of the best all-rounders – Hardik Pandya. Aakash Chopra further says that MI also has a strong encore which comprises of Krunal Pandya who is again a good all-rounder, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Rahul Chahar who are already performing very well in the IPL and domestic level and trying their best to fix their place at the international level.
Aakash Chopra also appreciates the MI skipper Rohit Sharma and says that their second strong point is Hitman’s captaincy. As per Chopra, Rohit Sharma is 24-carat gold, the best cut diamond who is an expert is reading the game and nobody can guess by looking at his face which way the match is going because he keeps a poker-face.
The 43 years old former Indian cricketer also states that the pace attack of Mumbai Indians is one of the best as it comprises of Jasprit Bumrah, Nathan Counter-Nile, Dhawal Kulkarni and Trent Boult. Aakash Chopra goes on to say that if there is any team which can match MI in terms of pace bowling, it is Delhi Capitals as they have Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje. But one shortcoming which DC has is that they don’t have a replacement for Bumrah as Bhuvneshwar Kumar is with the Hyderabad franchise.
Rishabh Pant, the young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, is going through a wonderful phase as he has performed in an exemplary manner not only during the Australian tour and against the England at home but he has also been appointed as the skipper of the IPL team Delhi Capitals (earlier Delhi Daredevils). The Delhi franchise appointed Rishabh Pant as the skipper after its skipper Shreyas Iyer suffered shoulder injury during a match against England and was ruled out of the tournament.
Recently the England wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings talked about Rishabh Pant and what he said when he first saw Pant batting during the IPL 2016. It was the same season when Pant debuted in the IPL for Delhi Capitals and he was 19 yrs old at that time. Sam Billings recalled that he saw Pant for the first time when he was batting in the nets and was hitting some top bowlers such as Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chris Morris and others with ease. As per Sam Billings, he actually stated at that time that Pant is probably the best young cricketer he has seen and he also asked the former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid (the then mentor of DC) about Pant.
In DC’s press release, Sam Billings further says that we all have been watching Pant performing great for India and for DC as well and he is very happy seeing the youngster making progress and going strong in his career.
Sam Billings was also a part of the England team which played the ODI and T20I series recently and now he has joined the preparation camp of the Delhi franchise. Talking about his comeback in the IPL as he didn’t play in the IPL 2020, he says that it feels good to be back at the tournament and the DC camp has been quite welcoming.
Some of us like to play pranks on others but we often stop ourselves as we are afraid that the other person may not like it or he may get offended but there is one day in the year when we can play pranks on others and the other person will also laugh with us even after realising that they have been fooled. Yes, we are talking about April 1 which is also known as April Fools’ Day and on this day, people play pranks on each other and have fun.

Nowadays, the social media networks also help us in playing pranks on each other; in fact with their help, we can play prank on many people at the same time. The social media networks were flooded with memes and jokes on April Fools’ Day as people didn’t want to miss the opportunity to laugh a little despite the fact that the times are tough.
Many people also expressed their agony by saying that the whole past one year has been like an April Fools’ Day.
Though it was the time to have some laugh, we should also not forget that the COVID-19 cases are on rise in most of the states in India and hence, we request all to follow safety precautions and guidelines in a proper manner.
The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is going to start soon and every franchise is working pretty hard to ensure that they have a good season this year. Rajasthan Royals has appointed former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara as the Director of Cricket for the IPL 2021 and he will be coordinating with the new skipper of RR Sanju Samson who has been assigned the new responsibility after the franchise released the former skipper Steve Smith ahead of the IPL2021 auctions.
As far as RR’s track record in the tournament is concerned, the team is the first winner of the league as it won the inaugural edition of the IPL 2008 under the leadership of Shane Warne but since then, it has not been able to make any impact in the following seasons. In fact in the last season, RR ended up at the bottom of the points tally despite starting the tournament with some big wins.
Recently Kumar Sangakkara was answering some questions in a video which was posted on the YouTube channel of Rajasthan franchise. These questions were asked online by fans and one of them asked whether RR would sign the Argentine professional footballer Lionel Messi in the IPL 2022 auctions.
Kumar Sangakkara also added some humour in his answer and asked the fan whether he was talking about Lionel Messi. He further says that it will be wonderful to have him, adding that he is sure Messi will be able to play some cricket as well.
This is what Sangakkara said, “Are you talking about Lionel Messi? Well, wonderful to have a player like him. I’m sure with his talent, he can definitely play some cricket as well”.
On the other hand, one fan asks which batsman as per him can play the perfect cover drive just like him, the fan also calls the cover drive as Sanga drive. Sangakkara appears to be a little confused at first but then he says that there are few in his team such as Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson, adding that he wants to see Shivam Dube play it too. He also praises the Indian skipper Virat Kohli in view of the fact that he also plays cover drive well with good balance. Kumar Sangakkara states that cover drive is favourite shot and there are so many batsmen in the world who play it better than him.
The coronavirus pandemic has brought many changes in our lives and the cricketers are no exception to it. They have to live in bio-bubble environment which is certainly a little hectic, especially the quarantine part. As the IPL 2021 is going to start in almost a week’s time, the foreign players are arriving in the country but the Indian cricket fans, especially fans of Chennai Super Kings, will miss the Australian cricketer Josh Hazlewood.
Josh Hazlewood was bought by CSK in 2020 at the base price of Rs. 2 crore but the pacer got the chance to play only 3 matches in which he was able to take only one wicket. Josh Hazlewood decided to opt out from the IPL 2021 as he needed a break especially because of the fact that the Australian team has a very hectic schedule ahead.
While talking to a cricketing portal, Josh Hazlewood states that he has quarantined and lived in bio-bubble at different times for the last 10 months now because of which he has taken the decision to have some rest, spend time in his home and Australia for the next two months. He adds that the Australian team will have a big winter ahead as they will be clashing against West Indies on a long tour followed by Bangladesh. He further says that later there will be T20 World Cup and then Ashes so he just wants himself to be prepared for it, physically as well as mentally by taking rest at the moment.
However, the social media networks are flooded with jokes and memes after Josh Hazlewood has announced that he will not be playing in the IPL 2021 as people are saying that Cheteshwar Pujara is the reason of Hazlewood pulling out from the tournament.
Pujara and Hazlewood played against each other in the 4-match test series which was played under Border-Gavaskar Trophy that was won by India by 2-1. During the series, Cheteshwar Pujara batted for long hours and troubled the Aussie bowlers so netizens are joking that Josh Hazlewood has opted out from the IPL 2021 so that he can save himself from bowling to Pujara for long hours in the nets.
Here are some of the selected reactions:

Josh Hazlewood withdrawing from Chennai makes Chennai poorer for sure given he is one of the world's premier fast bowlers. However, my sneaky suspicion is that he couldn't stand another month bowling to Pujara in the nets. #IPL2021
The Indian Premier League 2021 is all set to start from April 9 and the debate over choosing the cash-rich league over country has once again begun. Many players from England including Ben Stokes are facing criticism for playing in the IPL and recently Ben Stokes has given a perfect reply to an online user who tries to target him for playing in the IPL.
The 29 years old English cricketer has arrived in India and is quite excited. As per him, it is good that the IPL has returned to India after being organised in UAE last year which Stokes feel was a big achievement in itself. While talking to a sports channel, Ben Stokes says that he is hoping to see the Indian crowd back in the stadium as they are a big part of the game. He further added that it was a great feeling to see fans in the stadium during the India-England series despite the fact that all of them were against the England team.
Celebrities getting trolled on social media is pretty common and Ben Stokes became the latest target of the same as an online user took a jibe at him by saying that he is running behind money now but he will be tired to bowl when he will wear the England jersey.
This is what the online user wrote, “Chasing a pound note again, once back in an England shirt will be too tired to bowl”.
Chasing a pound note again, once back in an england shirt will be too tired to bowl
Ben Stokes will be playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2021 and the opening match will be played between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rajasthan Royals will be led by Sanju Samson who has been appointed as the skipper after the franchise released Steve Smith ahead of the IPL 2021 auctions. RR will be playing their first match against KL Rahul led Punjab Kings on 12th April 2021.
