The Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah got married to sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan recently in a private ceremony at Goa. The manner in which they both kept their relationship and marriage a secret affair and didn’t let the media know the details is certainly praiseworthy, especially when mediapersons are hell-bent on knowing about everything related to celebs.
The speculations of Bumrah’s marriage started when he opted out from the fourth test match against England citing personal reasons. Though Jasprit Bumrah and BCCI didn’t make any official announcement, a source from BCCI confirmed that the Indian pacer was getting married soon because of which he was taking leave in order to prepare for the big day.
At that time, many people thought that Jasprit Bumrah might by tying the knot with south Indian actress Anupama Parmeswaran but soon the rumours were put to rest by the actress’ mother. Then the name of Sanjana Ganesan came into light but surety came only after the couple made the announcement regarding their marriage through social media networks and posted their photos and videos.
The latest news is that Sanjana Ganesan is back to work post wedding and she was seen in Star Sports Studio before the second ODI which was played between India and England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Sanjana has been associated with Star Sports since 2016 and she has hosted not only Indian Premier League in the past but 2019 ICC World Cup as well.
Sanjana is the host of TV show Cricket Live which is a pre-match show. While fans love the commitment of the beautiful sports presenter, they also asked about the whereabouts of her husband Jasprit Bumrah.

India and Pakistan, the two Asian neighbour countries, have not indulged in any bilateral sports series for almost last 10 years now due to the high level of tension in their diplomatic and political ties. While India has made it clear that it is in no mood to keep any relations with Pakistan until and unless it stops sponsoring anti-social activities against India, it seems that Pakistan does not wish to start a new phase with its neighbouring nation.
Recently, a report was published in Pakistani media as per which India and Pakistan might play a bilateral cricket series soon and the Pakistan Cricket Board was asked to get prepared for the big battle which would soon take place on the field. As far as cricket is concerned, India and Pakistan have played against each other in ICC events only in the last 10 years so it was certainly great news for some cricket lovers.
Now the vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rajiv Shukla has made it clear that no discussion on the matter of playing bilateral series against Pakistan has taken place within the board. He also makes it clear that the stand of the BCCI is same for the last 10 years as per which they will not play any bilateral series with Pakistan until they get permission from the central government.
The Pakistani former cricketer Shahid Afridi who has made quite a few controversial statements against India in the recent past has also spoken on this matter and stated that only cricket can improve the relations between the two nations, adding that politics and sports should be kept separate.
He further says that he has stated it earlier as well and the Indian cricketers love to visit Pakistan too. According to Afridi, sports can help a lot in improving the relations but if someone doesn’t want to improve the relations, they will remain as they are.
Last time India and Pakistan faced each other in the 2019 World Cup and India maintained its record of winning all the matches against Pakistan in the World Cup.
Do you think India and Pakistan should play bilateral series? Let us know your views in this regard.

Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, is just around the corner and many of us were hoping to celebrate it in a grand manner this time because last year we were not able to celebrate it because of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, our plans for Holi, happiness and excitement were short-lived as the number of the COVID-19 positive cases is on the rise again and the governments of some states have already made announcements regarding the ban on Holi celebration and once again emphasised on following the safety guidelines of wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, etc.
The only relief for the Indians is that the government is conducting vaccination drive in full swing so the pandemic may not harm the people in the brutal manner in which it had done last year. The situation in six states of India is a matter of grave concern for the concerned state governments and the central government. These six states are Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat.
The seriousness of the situation in Maharashtra can be understood by the fact that it is accounting for 62 percent of the cases registered in the whole country. What is more worrisome is that as per the Health Ministry, a new variant of COVID-19 has been found in 18 states of India and this new variant is more harmful than the original one.
There is no denying the fact that the public itself is responsible for this condition as many people have stopped following the safety guidelines, leave alone maintaining social distancing, people are not even wearing masks in public places and the situation may further deteriorate if they keep on behaving like this in the future as well.
However, the social media users are not leaving any chance of having some fun even in the critical times and they are posting memes and jokes related to Holi which will certainly bring smile on your faces. Here are some of the selected ones:

KL Rahul, the young Indian cricketer, has finally regained his lost form in the first ODI of the ongoing 3-match ODI series against England after performing badly in the T20 series. In the four T20Is that he played in the series, he got out on duck two times and scored 1 and 14 in two T20s because of which he was trolled big time on the social media networks.
In the first ODI, KL Rahul played a brilliant knock of 62 runs for which he faced only 43 balls. While talking to mediapersons in the pre-match press conference, the Karnataka cricketer states that over the years, he has learnt that if a player has to perform well, it is necessary for him to remain in a right frame of mind. He adds that he has learnt from his senior teammates how to stay in a balanced state. He also says that many people think he is not passionate as he remains calm and doesn’t express himself much but that is not the case.
KL Rahul goes on to say that every human being is different from others and has a different way of expressing himself. He also makes it clear that he will always be true to himself and won’t change himself in the future as well because it gives him better chances to perform well. The 28 years old cricketer says that it is quite a big challenge for a sportsperson to forget what has happened the previous day and perform well.
KL Rahul also felt that batting at the number 5 in the ODI provided him with some more time on the pitch. He disclosed that he was trying to give himself some time in the middle in the T20s as well but that didn’t give results but spending some time on the crease in the ODIs helped him a lot and increased his confidence as his nerves calmed down after hitting a couple of shot from the middle of the bat.
KL Rahul has batted pretty well in the second ODI as well as he has scored 108 runs in 114 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes). India has given a tough target to the visitors as the team has scored 336/6 while England has scored 67 runs in 12.4 overs without losing any wicket till the time this article was written.
Will the England team be able to level the series by winning the second ODI? What do you think? Let us know your views.

The Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the most famous cricket players of the country and it is not just because of his cricketing skills but also due to his social media presence. He has entertained his fans and followers a lot during the coronavirus lockdown by posting funny videos which also featured his family members occasionally.
Yuzvendra Chahal shares a pretty strong bond with his teammate Rohit Sharma and many times in the past also, we have seen them having fun on the social media networks. In fact, quite a few times, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh has also contributed in their banter.
Recently, Yuzi posted a couple of photos of himself with Rohit Sharma and both the cricketers took the bromance to a new level as Rohit Sharma was seen giving Yuzi a flower.
First of all, take a look at the pics:
The spinner captioned the images as, “Senorita” with laughing emojis.
Here is the post:
The Instagram post soon went viral and Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh also took a note of it. She responded with a confused emoji after seeing her hubby giving flower to his teammate.
Soon Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree Verma also responded with the comment, “Didn’t have to ask them to pose btw thanks for the pic credit ”
Rohit Sharma has not been able to make a big score in both the ODIs of the 3 match ODI series which is being played against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Yuzi has not been included in the playing eleven either in the first ODI or in the second one as Kuldeep Yadav has been given a chance to play after quite a long break.
What is your take on this photo of Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal? Bromance to a new level, isn’t it?

The Indian cricket team will be hoping to take an invincible lead in the ongoing 3-match ODI series against England by winning the second ODI which is being played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. India has already won the first ODI and has taken the lead by 1-0 in the series.
In the recent past, the Indian team management has given chance to many youngsters in order to prepare the team for the T20 World Cup which is going to be held in the later part of the year. In the first ODI, Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna made their debut and both of them played a good role in India’s win. While Krunal scored 58 runs (31) and his half-century was the fastest ever by a debutante, Prasidh Krishna took 4 important wickets. There is no denying the fact that these youngsters are talented but the former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid has also played an important role by grooming them in the right manner for the international level.
Many youngsters such as Krunal Pandya, Prasidh Krishna, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, etc. have been trained under Rahul Dravid either in the U-19 or India A set up. Recently during an interview with a cricketing portal, the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan was full of praises for the former Indian cricketer who is also referred to as The Wall by his fans.
Vaughan says that India is doing great work behind the scenes, adding that though we keep on talking about the Indian Premier League, Rahul Dravid is nurturing the players in a pretty good manner under India A and development program. Vaughan also says that Dravid is instilling right mentality in these young cricketers and the system developed by India deserves all the praises as they are getting the correct results.
Though the England batsmen scored runs at the average of 12 in the first spell of three overs of Prasidh Krishna, he made a comeback and dismissed Jason Roy and Ben Stokes. Michael Vaughan says that bowlers like Krishna are always successful in the white ball cricket because the way in which he has bounced back shows that he has been trained correctly and they may go for few runs but they will take wickets as well and destabilize the batting unit.
Undoubtedly, Rahul Dravid has always been an asset for the Indian cricket!

The former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is one of the most loved cricket players of all times and his fans love him for not just his cricketing skills but also his fighting attitude and fashion style. The Punjab cricketer who won the battle against cancer recently took part in the Road Safety World Series, represented India Legends and played important role in helping his team win the trophy.
In one of the matches, Yuvi hit four consecutive sixes which brought the memories of 2007 ICC T20 World Cup alive in which he hit six sixes in an over of England pacer Stuart Broad. While Yuvi scored 49 runs of only 20 deliveries in the semi-finals, in finals against Sri Lankan Legends, he scored 60 runs for which he played only 41 balls and led his team to victory.
As we mentioned above that Yuvi is also known for his fashion sense, lately the left-handed cricketer surprised his friends and fans as he is seen sporting long hair and this is the first time that he has sported this kind of hairstyle.
Yuvraj took to his official Instagram handle and posted a photo of himself with long hair. He also asks his fans to let him know whether he looks good with long hair or not. The caption of the image read, “Yes or no or maybe?”
Here is the Instagram post:
Soon his fans and followers started commenting but the comments that were noticed the most were those which were made by the Indian cricketers Ravindra Jadeja, Shikhar Dhawan and Harbhajan Singh.
