Glenn Maxwell, the Australian cricketer, had a pretty poor IPL 2020 because of which he was released by his old franchise Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab) before the auction for the IPL 2021. However, it proved a blessing for the Aussie cricketer as he was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping amount of Rs. 14.25 crore which made him the third highest purchase of the IPL 2021.
It was a win-win situation for Glenn Maxwell as he stuck a fortune and his wish of playing with his idol AB de Villiers also got fulfilled. The 36 years old Indian cricketer has been working pretty hard in the domestic level. He shifted his base to Nagaland from Karnataka before 2019-20 season and now it seems impossible for the cricketer to get a call for the national team. In his short career, Stuart Binny has represented India in 14 ODIs, 3 T20Is and 6 test matches in which he has scored 230, 35 and 194 runs, respectively. Stuart Binny has not scored a century at the international level, though he has a half-century to his name in test matches and ODIs each.

The Indian cricket team has taken an indisputable lead of 2-1 in the ongoing four match test series against England after defeating them in the third test match by 10 wickets. The day-night test match was played at Ahmedabad and as it was a pink ball test match, everyone was expecting that the pacers would get help from the pitch but something very surprising happened and the pitch started supporting spinners from the ball one of the game. The Indian spinners proved to be quite efficient in the third test match which ended in just 2 days as they took 19 wickets (Axar patel – 11, Ravichandran Ashwin – 7, Washington Sundar -1) together.
The two Indian spinners Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin dominated so much in the match that the Indian pacers Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah didn’t even get a single over to bowl in the second innings of the visitors. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli revealed that Jasprit Bumrah was talking about workload management in the third test match.
In the post match conference, Virat Kohli discloses that Jasprit Bumrah is saying he is getting workload management while Ishant Sharma is complaining of not getting to bowl in his 100th test match. Virat Kohli also added that Washington Sundar was quite happy as he got three balls to bowl since he was not able to score with bat. The RCB skipper also calls it a bizarre game as he has never been a part of any game in which things happen so fast.
A press release has been issued by the BCCI as per which Jasprit Bumrah won’t be a part of the fourth test match. This is so because he has informed the board that he won’t be available for the selection for the fourth test match due to some personal reasons.
India’s chances of playing the finals of the ICC World Test Championship 2019-21 depend a lot on the fourth test match so it is going to be an interesting game.

The ongoing India-England four match test series has been marred by the controversy related to the pitches, especially of the Ahmedabad test match which ended in just 2 days as the Indian team won the match by 10 wickets. Earlier some former England cricketers also had problem with the pitch of the second test match which was played in Chennai as it supported the spinners from the day one and India attained victory in that test match as well.
However, it won’t be wrong to say that all the limits were crossed when the third test match got over in only 2 days and the former England cricketers were not able to believe that their team could get defeated so badly. On the other hand, the Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin along with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli have been quite vocal in defending the pitch of the Ahmedabad test. They have slammed those who are criticizing the pitch rather than accepting the fact that the batsmen from both the sides didn’t perform well and the Indian bowlers performed better than the England bowlers.
Rohit Sharma stated that the pitch was nice and there were no demons in it. He also argued as to how anyone can blame the pitch when 21 out of 30 wickets fell on straight deliveries. Rohit Sharma is in good form and in the third test match also, he batted brilliantly as he scored 66 and 25 unbeaten in the first and second innings, respectively. For the Australians, it was Zak Crawley only who showed some resistance and scored a half century in the first innings. Former England cricketers Michael Vaughan, David Floyd, Andrew Strauss, etc. not only criticized the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) but also the International Cricket Council (ICC) for allowing BCCI to make whatever type of pitches it wants.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza make one of the most loved Bollywood couples of the present times and recently they celebrated their ninth marriage anniversary. Co-incidentally the couple also made their Bollywood debut together with the same movie “Tujhe Meri Kasam” (2003) which was a remake of 1999 released Malayalam flick “Niram”.
Lately the couple narrated an interesting incident from their debut movie. As Riteish Deshmukh’s father Vilasrao Deshmukh had served as the chief minister of Maharashtra, Genelia had an assumption that Riteish is a wealthy and connected brat so she should refrain from looking at him and talking to him.
Genelia stated that Riteish was confused as to why she was not talking to him while she didn’t talk because she didn’t want anyone to think that she was having a chit-chat with him because he is the son of a chief minister. However, the good thing is that they started conversing soon and since then, it has been 18 years that they have been talking.
Riteish also remembered how Genelia started talking to him as he told that they were sitting on a bench in the Ramoji Film city waiting for the shot as some lights were getting shifting. He further told that Genelia looked at him and asked where his bodyguards were and whether they were hiding in the bush. In response, Riteish told her that he had no security guards. It was then the ice broke between them as Genelia understood that Riteish is just like a normal person despite hailing from an influential family.
The couple got married in 2012 and they are proud parents to two sons – Rahyl and Riaan.

Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian spinner, is not quite unhappy with the manner in which some former cricketers are blaming the pitch for England’s loss in the Ahmedabad test match. R Ashwin has taken seven wickets in the third test match but what has triggered a debate about the pitch is the fact that the match ended in 2 days with India winning the match by 10 wickets. Though few former Indian cricketers also talked about the pitch and called it unsuitable for a 5-day test match, the Indian star batsman Rohit Sharma and the Indian skipper Virat Kohli defended the pitch and stated the lack of focus and application as the main reasons behind the failure of batsmen of both the sides. Both Indian cricketers also asked how the pitch can be blamed when 21 out of 30 wickets fell on straight deliveries.
Ashwin also took to Twitter in the past and made some cryptic tweets in which he asked people not to fall in the trap which is being thrown by former England cricketers who want everyone to believe that pitch was bad rather than accepting the fact that the England batsmen failed big time and their bowlers were not as good as the Indian bowlers.
While talking in a virtual press conference, R. Ashwin says that everyone has the right to give their opinion and he is not trying to prove anybody wrong but the discussion on the pitch is really crossing the limits now. He further asks whether there is any example in which so much discussion about the pitch has taken place when the Indian team has played in other countries.
The Indian spinner also talks about the video of Virat Kohli from the tour of South Africa which is going viral as well as about the two test matches that India played in New Zealand and both the matches ended in total 5 days. In the viral video, Virat Kohli has stated that he is not there to speak about the pitch and by referring to it, Ashwin says that this is how the Indians are taught to play cricket.
The Tamil Nadu cricketer further says that batsmen need to score runs while bowlers need to take wickets and win the match. He goes on to ask as to who makes the rules regarding the good pitch on which the ball should seam on the first day, then batsmen should get help for next two days and after that, the pitch should help the spinners.

Prithvi Shaw, the young Indian cricketer went through a tough phase in the recent times as his performance in the IPL 2020 was below the expectations and then he was also dropped from the playing eleven after performing poorly in the first test match against Australia in the four match test series.
In the IPL 2020, Prithvi Shaw was able to score only 228 runs in the 13 matches that he played whereas in the test series against Australia, he scored 0 and 4 in the first test match which was played at Adelaide and as we all know, India suffered a humiliating defeat in the match. Prithvi Shaw was slammed for his poor performance and some former cricketers even went on to state that there is a fault in the technique of Prithvi Shaw, adding that he won’t be able to survive at the international level if he doesn’t rectify it. Prithvi was not even included in the Indian team which was selected for playing against England in the ongoing four test match series.
But the good news is that the talented cricketer is back in form and in a match against Puducherry which is being played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Prithvi Shaw has hit his first List A double ton. This is the first time that Prithvi Shaw is not just playing for Mumbai but also leading the team. He scored 227 runs for which he played only 152 deliveries and his innings included four sixes and 27 fours. What makes it more special is the fact that he reached the 200 mark in just 142 balls. Prithvi Shaw must be hoping a call from the Indian team as earlier he also scored a century not out against Delhi.
Prithvi is quite active on the social media networks also and he was quite determined to give it back to trollers and critics who targeted him after his failure in Australia so he posted a fan-made meme on his official Instagram account.
