The coronavirus pandemic has certainly made our lives very difficult and at the same time, it has also brought many changes in our lifestyle. While the majority of the countries of the world were forced to enforce lockdown last year after the outbreak, the situation in the maximum nations can be called in control as of now but there are few countries which are still not able to contain the virus. While India and some other countries have developed the vaccine for COVID-19, countries like Peru are still enforcing curfew in order to stop the virus from spreading.
In curfews or lockdowns, policemen have a great responsibility to fulfill as they are the ones who stop people from coming out of their houses by imposing fines or punishing them legally. However, a policeman in Peru was caught doing something which was highly irresponsible in terms of his duty and in regard to the risky situation as well.
This incident took place in Lima, the capital of Peru, and the policeman stopped a woman at Malecon de la Marina (Miraflores Boardwalk) which runs close to the Pacific Ocean. As curfew is imposed in Peru, the policeman was about to write a notice and fine the woman for breaching the coronavirus restrictions but the woman tried to convince the policeman for not fining her by offering him a kiss. In the beginning, the policeman hesitated but later on, he agreed and kissed the woman in place of fining her.
The video clip of the incident was obtained by a local TV station. After that, the policeman was suspended and an investigation has also been ordered in the incident.

The district in-charge of citizen security, Ibero Rodriguez states that the mayor Luis Molina has decided to suspend the guilty officer with immediate effect. Ibero added that many violations were made as first the officer allowed the woman not to follow social distancing and subsequently, he not only removed his mask but also kissed her.
Ibero confirms that the concerned policeman has never faced any disciplinary action earlier but this is such a serious mistake that he has been suspended immediately. While the identity of policeman has not been revealed, the identity of the woman is unknown.
There is no denying the fact that this is a serious mistake as Peru is facing wrath of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic and more than 44k people have lost their lives to this lethal disease.
We may have lost Steve Jobs nearly 10 years ago but he is still very famous among aspiring businessmen and there are some who idolize the American business tycoon and the co-founder of Apple organization.
In 1973, Steve Jobs applied for a job and that hand written job application is getting auctioned. This application was auctioned earlier in 2018 and at that time it was won by an Internet businessman from UK who spent $175,000 on it. However, the winning bidder kept his name anonymous.
In this application, Steve Jobs has written “English lit” as his major, “computer” and “calculator” are written in the skills and in special abilities, he has written down Electronics, digital and Tech or Design Engineer. There is no denying the fact that almost everyone in this world hopes to earn a lot of money and that too in a short period of time. However, we all know that there is no correct way by which a person can earn a huge amount of money in less time but a person from California earned Rs. 11 lakh in just 7 hours.
Sounds unbelievable but true! In fact, you will be more shocked after knowing how he earned the whopping sum.
As per a report published in a leading news portal, a 26 years old Twitch user earned Rs. 11 lakh by live-streaming himself while sleeping and asked the viewers to disturb his sleep and wake him but after making a contribution. Twitch is a live-streaming platform for the gamers and this person’s Twitch id is Asian Andy.
The viewers had the facility of sending sound or text to speech messages to Asian Andy while he was live streaming himself sleeping. While some tried to wake him up by ringing alarms, bark sounds, loud music, few even tried to scare him and it can be seen in the video that he woke up in intervals.
But he was surprised big time when he saw that the viewers have donated USD 16K (Rs. 11.6 lakh approx). The video of his live stream was seen by more than 4 million viewers and he showed his gratitude towards the viewers for donating such a handsome amount. He also told the viewers that he used to earn only $16 in a day when he worked as a cab driver.

The IPL 2021 is going to be held in April and the Punjab franchise has made a big change this year in an attempt to change their fortunes. The Punjab franchise which will be led by KL Rahul has changed its name from Kings XI Punjab to Punjab Kings. The skipper took to Twitter and shared with his fans and followers the reason behind the name change.
KL Rahul said that though he liked the name Kings XI but a team is lot more than the 11 players, it is like a whole unit, it is supposed to be a family. He adds that he is pretty confident the change in name will certainly improve their luck as well.

Soon the star batsman Chris Gayle also took to the micro-blogging site and supported KL Rahul’s belief. He says that he agrees with Rahul that a team is not just about 11 players and sometimes a change is also good. He goes on to state that it will certainly get everyone more involved and Punjab Kings is the way to go.
Chris Gayle has been associated with the Punjab franchise since 2018 and he performed pretty well as he scored 368 in 11 matches in the IPL 2018 while in the IPL 2019, he scored 490 in 13 matches and last year he played 7 matches in which he scored 288 runs. In fact, it was after Gayle joined the team in the IPL 2020 that the Punjab franchise was able to win a match after losing six in a row.
The co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta also made an announcement regarding the name change.
she tweeted, “This new year I had hinted that 2021 was going 2 b d yr of new beginnings. So here is our new name & logo as promised. Now Sadda Punjab will be #PunjabKings. I’m super thrilled & excited to share r new vibe wit r friends, fans & well wishers. #SaddaPunjab #PBKS @PunjabKingsIPL”

The Punjab franchise hasn’t been able to win an IPL trophy since the inauguration of the IPL in 2008 but it appears that they are completely ready to bag the trophy.
Do you think the name change will change the fortunes of Punjab Kings? Let us know your opinion.
The auction for IPL 2021 is underway at the moment and it will be really interesting to see which players will be purchased by which IPL franchises, who will go unsold and who will fetch the highest amount. Royal Challengers Bangalore is one such team which has been touted to be one of the strongest teams in almost every season but still it has failed in winning an IPL trophy even once. Earlier this year, every franchise released some players and retained some as a part of their preparation for auction and quite amazingly, the Bangalore franchise released the most number of players, i.e., ten.
The players who were released by RCB are Isuru Udana, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Shivam Dube, Dale Steyn, Aaron Finch, Parthiv Patel, Umesh Yadav and Chris Morris.
The former Indian cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir is not much happy with the release of Umesh Yadav by RCB as he feels that at this moment, what RCB needs the most is a good pacer. While talking on a sports show on a sports channel, the Delhi cricketer says that we will need to wait and watch to see whether the players who have performed good in IPL 2019 and IPL 2020 will be able to repeat their performance in IPL 2021 or not. He adds that RCB will need to get some quality players as they have already released several quality cricketers such as Umesh Yadav and Moeen Ali.
Gautam Gambhir is of the opinion that releasing Umesh Yadav is a big surprise because there are not many pacers available in the present scenario. He further says that there are young bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Navdeep Saini and their performance can be fluctuating in T20.
Gambhir also talks about the batting aspect of RCB as he states that the Bangalore franchise should go for Glenn Maxwell as the pressure on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers needs to be reduced. Moreover, Maxwell has expressed his willingness to play for RCB too as his idol AB de Villiers is in the team and he also wants to play under the leadership of Virat Kohli.
Gambhir goes on to say that though it is upto Virat and the team management of RCB but he feels that Kohli should open for his team as it suits him more. Gautam Gambhir further adds that Virat will open with Devdutt Padikkal who has showed a lot of promise in the last season and then they will have AB de Villiers in the middle so what they need is an X-factor player like Maxwell who can be very handy in Chinnaswamy stadium as it is flat and small.
Do you think Gautam Gambhir’s analysis is correct? Let us know your views in this connection.
The ongoing India-England four match test series is leveled at 1-1 after India defeated the visitors in the second test match by 317 runs. Though the Indian team’s performance was superb in the second test match, there was one England player who made his presence feel with the ball and posed some difficulty for the Indian batsmen. We are talking about Moeen Ali who took 4 wickets each in both the innings, however we will not be seeing him in the remaining two test matches which will be played in Ahmedabad.
Moeen Ali will be returning to his country under the players regulation policy which has been made by the England and Wales Cricket Board in order to ensure that players get proper relaxation, especially because living in bio-bubble environment can be exhaustive.
But while talking to media, the England team skipper Joe Root made a blunder when he told the reporters that Moeen Ali would be leaving India as he opted to go home. Joe added that the players were told in the beginning of the tour that they can leave the bubble whenever they feel the need of doing so and Moeen has taken the decision of leaving for home.
After this statement of the England skipper, Moeen Ali was slammed by the English media and the fans for leaving the team mid-way, especially considering the fact that the winner of this series will be playing the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2019-21.
Joe Root soon realised the mistake that he had made and he apologised to Moeen Ali on Tuesday after the team reached the hotel. He also gave a clarification that he made the mistake as he wasn’t able to express his thoughts in a correct manner because of which a wrong message was sent to media and misunderstanding was created.
Joe Root also talks in favour of the rotation policy and says that he also feels strongly there should be a balance in the lives of cricketers and they should get proper rest while living in the bio-bubble environment. It is being said that Moeen Ali and Joe Root are on good terms after the skipper apologised for the mistake that he committed.
Celebrities getting mocked on social media is nothing new but what’s more troublesome is that trollers don’t stop here and go on to target their children, parents, siblings, etc. as well. Abhishek Bachchan is a favourite of netizens who often take a jibe at him for not being so popular and successful as his father in the Hindi film industry.
However this time, someone targeted Amitabh’s daughter and Abhishek’s sister Shweta Nanda who is away from the acting world. She has tied the knot with Nikhil Nanda and has two children – daughter Navya Naveli and son Agastya Nanda. Navya has lately started a new venture known as “Project Naveli” which deals with issues such as domestic violence, education, gender inequality, mental and physical health, etc.
Recently a woman made an unpleasant comment on Shweta Nanda for not doing any work and this comment was written on a post featuring Navya’s interview with regard to her latest venture.
The troller’s comment read, “What work does her mother do? LOL”
Although Shweta didn’t respond, Navya gave the woman a befitting reply as she wrote, “She’s an author, writer, designer, wife & mother”.
This was not all as Navya shared the comment and her reply on her Instagram story with a powerful caption that read, “Being a mother & wife is a full time job. Please don’t discredit women who are homemakers! Their role is so crucial in the upbringing of a generation that will hopefully support their contribution instead of tearing it down.”
Well, that’s certainly a beautiful reply from a daughter for someone who tried to target her mother and that too, despite being a woman herself.
More power to you Navya! We wish her luck for all her future endeavours.
