Virat Kohli Asks The Chennai Crowd To ‘Whistle Podu’ During 2nd Test, Gets A Superb Response

Virat Kohli, the skipper of the Indian cricket team, is undoubtedly one of the best cricketers of the present times and one reason for his success is that he loves what he does. Many times we have witnessed Virat Kohli acting in an energetic manner on the field and he knows how to increase the excitement of the crowd.

Usually, not many people come to watch test cricket match but as it was Sunday yesterday and the local boy Ravichandran Ashwin is also a part of the squad and bowled pretty well, the public came in good numbers in Chepauk stadium. During the match, Virat Kohli got involved with the crowd as he asked them to “Whistle Podu”. Soon the crowd responded and when Kohli asked them to increase the volume and signaled that he is not able to listen, the crowd raised their voices and created an amazing atmosphere.

As far as the match is concerned, India is in a very strong position as England has already lost their 3 wickets for 53 runs and they still have to score 429 runs to win and game for two days is still remaining.

While the former England cricketers are complaining about the pitch, the Indian batsmen are showing them how to bat on this pitch. While Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant batted well in the first innings, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin batted brilliantly in the second innings. R Ashwin scored a century in the second innings and he also took 5 wickets in England’s first innings. What’s more, a lot is being expected from him in the second innings of England as the pitch is very supportive towards the spinners.

The England team is already leading in the four match test series by 1-0 and if India wins this match, the series will be leveled.

Michael Vaughan Says Chennai Pitch Isn’t Good For Test, Gets Blasted By Shane Warne

The former English cricketer Michael Vaughan knows how to remain in limelight and he has no hesitation in speaking his heart out on the various issues related to cricket despite knowing that the chances of him getting trolled are always pretty high.

After the England cricket team got all out for just 134 runs in the first innings of the second test match against India at Chennai, Michael Vaughan took to Twitter and stated that the pitch of the second test match is not good. He went on to say that the Indian squad would have saved the first test match if they had batted in the same manner as they batted in the first innings of the second test match as in the first test match, the pitch didn’t turn for 2 days.

He tweeted, “It didn’t do anywhere near as much for 2 sessions … Spun but not like what it’s doing now… India would have drawn the first Test if they had batted anything like in the 1st innings … This isn’t a good Test match pitch …”

This tweet didn’t go well with the Indian cricket fans and with the former Australian spinner Shane Warne as well. Warne responds to Vaughan by saying that the pitch has been the same for both the teams from day one and while the England bowlers didn’t bowl well, the Indian batsmen – Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant showed how to bat on this pitch.

He also added that in the first test match, the ball started turning from day 3 and nobody talked about the pitch when the Indian team had no chance of winning the match. Warne had no problem in saying that India was far better than England in the second test match whether it was batting or bowling and conditions were also the same for both the teams.

Shane Warne’s tweet read, “Come on maaaaaate ! The last few days of the 1st test, the wicket started exploding & no one said a word about the pitch when India had no chance. At least this test it’s been the same for both teams from ball one. Eng bowled poorly & Rohit, Pant and Jinx showed how to bat.”

In the second tweet, Warne wrote, “There’s no diff between the ball seaming/spinning to much. We always want a fair contest between bat/ball. India have batted & bowled better than Eng in this match – simple. Conditions have been the same for both sides from ball one. But this is excessive & in favour of the ball.”

As far as the match is concerned, India got all out for 286 in their second innings and they have given a huge target of 482 to the visitors. Ravichandran Ashwin is the highest scorer for team India as he has scored 106 runs and a lot is being expected from him as a bowler as well because he has taken 5 wickets in England’s first innings on the turning pitch of the Chennai stadium.

What is your take on Michael Vaughan’s statement about the pitch?

Ashwin Reacts After Breaking Harbhajan Singh’s Record Of Highest Test Wickets In India

The India-England second test match has reached a very interesting stage as India has taken a lead of 442 runs. Earlier the Indian cricket team posted a total of 329 runs in the first innings but the whole England team managed only 134 runs, thanks to the Indian bowlers who bowled superbly ensuring that their team got an upper hand in the match.

Ravichandran Ashwin has once again proved that he is one of the best spinners that a team can have in the present times as he sent five England batsmen back to the pavilion. The second day of the test match was quite special for the spinner as he not only took 5 wickets but also left behind the veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh in terms of the wickets on the Indian pitches.

The Punjab spinner has taken 265 wickets on the Indian soil with an avg. of 28.76 and on the second day of the test match, Ashwin crossed Bhajji when he took the wicket of English batsman Ben Stokes. As of now, Ravichandran Ashwin has 268 wickets to his name in 86 innings on the Indian pitches. As far as the highest number of test wickets on the Indian soil is concerned, the record is in the name of former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble who has dismissed 350 batsmen in 115 innings.

While speaking in the press conference, Ashwin said that when he saw Turbanator playing the 2001 series, he didn’t even imagine that he would also play as an off-spinner for the nation. He also talked about the time when he was playing for his state team as only a batsman and had no idea whether he would ever be able to play for India or not.

Ashwin also said that many of his teammates used to laugh at him as he tried to copy Bhajji’s action while bowling. He called it a really special moment for him as he broke the record of the player whom he used to follow and he is quite happy about it. However, Ashwin also apologized to Bhajji for breaking his record by saying, “Sorry Bhajju Pa…”

Talking about the India-England test match, India has scored 247/9 with Ashwin (87) and Mohammed Siraj (0) in the second innings and the total lead that India has taken over England is 442 runs. As it is the 3rd day, we feel that India has far better chances of winning this test match than England. What do you say?

15-Yr Boy Builds Rs 25K Electric Bike With Reverse Gear Using Scrap Parts In Father’s Shop

The coronavirus lockdown may have forced us to remain in our houses but it also gave us a chance to discover the inner talent which we were not able to explore due to our routine life.

As per the reports, 15 years old Prathamesha Sutara used the lockdown for creating an electric bike which is very cost effective in comparison to the electric bikes available in the market. Prathamesha is from Belgaum, Karnataka, and his father is an electrician who runs a shop in Nippani Taluk. Prathamesha took the help of Internet and he also used the scrap material which he got in his father’s shop.

Prathamesha says that as the prices of fuel are very high nowadays and it is very difficult for a common man to manage, he thought of creating an electric bike with the help of his father. He added that he had no work in the lockdown as the government closed down the schools and even after the lockdown was lifted, schools were closed for many days which gave him ample time to work on his bike.

Talking about his bike, Prathamesha says that the maximum speed of the bike is 40km/hr and after battery gets fully charged, the bike gives a mileage of 40 km but what makes it unique from others is that it also has a reverse gear. Prathamesha’s bike costs Rs. 25K and he also reveals that for making electric rechargeable motor, he has purchased 750-watt motor, Lead Acid 48 voltage battery and 48 voltage motor.

Prathamesha’s father Prakash Sutara is also very happy with what his son has done in his free time. Prakash states that despite being an electrician, he wasn’t aware much of the mechanism of an electric bike but he learned a lot from his son and he is hopeful that one day, Prathamesha will do something bigger than this and make them proud.

We wish Prathamesha luck for all his future endeavours!

Not everything was bad about 2020, what do you say?

Vivo Is Back As Title Sponsor Of IPL 2021, Twitter Goes WTF & Asks If TikTok Is Coming Back Too

The auction for the IPL 2021 will be taking place on February 18 and the IPL franchises will be bidding for 292 players out of whom 164 are Indians. However, what has left the social media users in a pretty unhappy state is the fact that Vivo Smartphone Company is back as the main sponsor of the IPL.

Vivo has been associated with the IPL for quite few years but last year BCCI had to search for a new sponsor after cancelling the contract of the Chinese company Vivo because the tension between India and China was at its peak after the Galwan valley clash. In the Galwan valley clash, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred, on the other hand Chinese authorities kept mum on the matter of casualties on their side but as per the unofficial sources, they had lost 35-45 soldiers. Initially BCCI was not in the mood to let Vivo go but after it got slammed ruthlessly online, it had to change its decision.

The IPL 2020 was sponsored by Dream 11, the company which develops online fantasy games, and Dream 11 had to pay Rs. 222 crores for it. However, it was made clear that Dream 11 had obtained the rights for one year only and BCCI hadn’t signed a multi-year deal with Dream 11 like Vivo.

Recently the official Twitter handle of Indian Premier League shared a pic of trophy with the caption,

“ALERT: VIVO IPL 2021 Player Auction list announced

292 players set to go under the hammer in Chennai on February 18, 2021”

As the news of Vivo making a comeback reached social media, the micro-blogging site Twitter was flooded with reactions and some of them are even asking whether Tik-Tok is going to make a comeback as well. Here are some of the selected reactions:

Dream 11 IPL 2020 was organized in UAE due to the coronavirus pandemic and it was won by Mumbai Indians. This was the fifth time that MI won the IPL under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and they will certainly like to repeat their success in the IPL 2021 too.

Do you think bringing back Vivo as the main sponsor of the IPL2021 is correct? Let us know your views in this connection.

Man Who Moved To Bengaluru For Work Returned & Found 6-Storey Building In Place Of His House

Many of us have left our native places and our houses and shifted to another city for the sake of jobs, work, etc. While most of us keep on visiting our native places on regular intervals, there are few who are not able to make a visit for many years.

Representational Image

Mr. Nagalingamoorthy who is basically from Chennai is also one of those few people. It was in 1988 that Mr. Nagalingamoorthy built his house after buying 2400 sq ft land in Madipakkam but in the year 1994, he shifted to Bengaluru with his family for work reasons. Since then, he was not able to pay a visit to his house because of many reasons such as the departure of his wife. However recently when he came back to Chennai, he was in for a rude shock as his house was replaced by a six-storied building about which he had no clue.

Mr. Nagalingamoorthy lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Branch and after investigation, the Entrust Document Fraud (EDF) Prevention Wing of CCB found out that K. Rajamannar (42) who is associated with a private builder is behind this fraud.

Representational Image

K. Rajamannar arranged for a person who acted as the owner of Mr. Nagalingamoorthy’s property and after that, K. Rajamannar got the property transferred to his name. The investigation agency has taken K. Rajamannar into custody.

It’s sad but the reality is that document forging, land grabbing, etc. are nothing new in our country so an individual needs to be careful when it comes to property. The best way is to keep visiting your property at regular intervals or appoint someone whom you trust as the caretaker.

Have you also witnessed any such incident around you? Share with us.
