Today the Indian finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2021 which is also the first paperless budget as this time, the budget has not been printed and is available digitally only. While everyone in the Parliament was listening to the announcements made by the finance minister, the Congress icon was seen sitting bored giving a very plain look which caught the eyes of netizens and it turned out to be a great meme material for the meme makers. This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi is getting trolled for his behaviour in the Parliament as in the past, he was seen blinking during a session.

Myntra Changing “Offensive” Logo After A Complaint Sparks A Hilarious Meme Fest On Twitter

Every organization is very particular about its logo because it is something which identifies them and sets them apart from other players in the market. Usually, no company wants to change its logo until very necessary as it is printed on their website, products, packets, etc. but Myntra, the e-commerce company, has been forced to change the logo after a complaint was made against them.

Naaz Patel who works for Avesta Foundation filed a complaint with the Mumbai cyber cell in December 2020 citing that the logo is offensive towards the women community. The Mumbai cyber cell called the Myntra officials for a meeting which they attended and also agreed to change the logo within a month. Myntra has also sent an email in this connection.

The e-commerce company has now changed their logo and this topic has caught the attention of social media users as well. While some made fun by saying that they were not able to figure out this till now despite purchasing so much from the website, few others supported Naaz Patel and there were several people who slammed those who compelled the company for changing their logo.

Here are some of the selected reactions:

The Top-4 Questions You Should Ask Yourself Before Applying For A Home Loan

We are witnessing home loan rates like never before. The Indian government and lenders operating in the country are going the extra mile to make home loans more attractive. All of these may prompt you to jump for a loan right away. However, if you want to get the most from your home loan, asking yourself the following questions will help you make an informed decision.

Question 1 – Am I Prepared For the Financial Commitment?

A home loan is a long-term financial liability. Borrowers usually opt for a repayment term between five years and thirty years. Hence, before applying for a home loan, you should evaluate your finances and decide the loan amount. While determining the amount, you also have to consider the interest rate. The higher the home loan interest, the more the EMIs. A home loan interest calculator can give you an accurate estimate of the loan amount and make loan selection simpler.

<

Question 2 – Can I Make a Higher Down Payment? What are its Benefits?

When you apply for a home loan, the lender approves an amount between 75% and 90% of the property value as the loan. To reduce the chances of default, they expect you to make a minimum 10% down payment. If you want to reduce the EMIs and get better interest rates, you should increase the downpayment amount by as much as you can afford. A higher downpayment amount assures the lender that the chances of defaulting are minimal, and hence, they do not mind giving you a discounted interest rate. You can use a home loan interest calculatorto calculate the loan costs.

Question 3 – Will I Have to Sacrifice Other Financial Goals?

As a home loan is a significant financial commitment, it may mean sacrificing other aspirations like weddings, education, a motor vehicle, etc. However, if you plan properly, you will never have to sacrifice other aspirations to fulfil your housing dreams. Lenders like PNB Housing offer ultra-low home loan interest rates and an extended loan term of up to thirty years. Hence, the EMIs will never seem like a burden. An intelligent way to handle home loanEMIs is by opening a non-cumulative fixed deposit account and choosing the monthly interest payout mode. As you get a fixed monthly income every month, you can use that amount to repay home loan EMIs.

Question 4 – Is My Lender the Best?

As a borrower, you may sometimes feel confused, as home loan advertisements may easily entice you to make a wrong decision. While the interest rate is a key determinant, you should also look at other factors like the lender’s reputation, loan terms, foreclosure and prepayment charges, and other value-added benefits. It is better to trust a lender with a legacy of more than twenty years, as they take their reputation quite seriously and may have bigger resources to offer you the best loan terms. PNB Housing, for instance, offers doorstep service to all home loan applicants. Hence, you will never need to waste a day when you need funds to fulfil the most precious dream of your life – purchasing a house.

Conclusion

The four questions mentioned in this article can make you a confident borrower. You should also read as many articles and blogs as possible to ensure you are making an informed decision. As a golden rule, it is better to ask questions in advance than to regret the decision later.

Deepak Chahar’s Sister Malti Takes A Funny Dig At Him For Wikipedia’s Mistake On His Age

Deepak Chahar, the young Indian cricketer, is going through a rough phase as first he was not able to take any wicket in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 and then just before the knockout match that his team Rajasthan had to play against Bihar, he suffered a niggle injury. Deepak Chahar is presently in National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru, but his sister missed no chance of trolling him when his age was written wrongly on his Wikipedia page.

Recently, Deepak’s elder sister Malti Chahar took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and posted a screenshot of Deepak’s Wikipedia page on which his age has been written as 48 years.

She captioned the tweet,

“Thanks to Wikipedia… finally Deepak is elder to me

Fittest player at 48”

Here is the tweet:

Deepak Chahar’s date of birth is 7th Aug 1992 as per which his age is 28 yrs but Wikipedia wrongly wrote his birth date as 7th Aug 1972 and going by this, he is 48 yrs old. Malti noticed this mistake and didn’t miss the chance of having some fun, however now the mistake has been rectified by Wikipedia.

Deepak has played for India in 3 ODIs and 13T20Is in which he has taken 2 and 18 wickets, respectively. Last time he played for the country in the 3-match T20I series against Australia in Dec last year. However, he was not able to make any impact as he could take only one wicket in all the three matches that he played.

Deepak Chahar plays for Rajasthan in the domestic cricket while in the IPL, he represents Chennai Super Kings. The IPL 2020 was no less than a nightmare for CSK as this was the first time that the team was not able to qualify for the play-offs and for some time during the tournament, CSK was at the bottom of the points table.

What increased the problems of Rajasthan in the SMAT 2021 was the fact that Deepak’s elder brother Rahul Chahar who is also a main bowler of the team was not able to play the knockout game against Bihar as he has been named the stand-in cricketer for the India-England series starting Feb 5. England will be playing four test matches against India and Rahul Chahar had to leave early as he has to serve the quarantine period in Chennai.

That was quite a big error by Wikipedia!
