“Virat Has Made A Personal Choice & It’s Not Too Much To Ask For,” Farokh Engineer Backs Kohli

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been trolled a lot in the recent past for taking paternity leave and coming back to India for the birth of his first child which is due in the month of January. He was targeted more when team India suffered a humiliating defeat in the first test match and what made the fans angrier was the shameful fact that the squad got all out for just 36 which is its lowest total score ever in the test matches.

Many former cricketers have defended Virat Kohli, asking people to respect his decision and not to target him just because India lost the first test match as he informed the board about it even before the tour started.

Now former Indian cricketer Farokh Engineer has also come out in support of the Indian skipper and said that he doesn’t agree with the trolling. He further asks haters as to why Virat Kohli should get trolled, only because he wants to be with his wife when she gives birth to their first child, this is not something which is too much to ask for.

While talking to a sports portal, the former Indian cricketer says that he is father of four kids but he was never with his wife during the birth of any of their children as every time, he was on an international tour. Farokh Engineer also recalled that the information of his first child’s birth was given to him by the Queen in the long room at the Lord’s. He further added that this doesn’t use to happen in those days but it certainly doesn’t mean that it should not happen even now.

Farokh Engineer says that he is not against Virat Kohli for the choice that he has made of being with his family but at one fell swoop, he also adds that if he had been in his place, he would have chosen to play for the country, especially after not doing well in the first test match. He feels that it is a modern trend and it is about the age difference.

Farokh Engineer made his debut in the year 1961 and played till 1975 and in this duration, he represented country in 46 test matches and 5 ODIs.

After Virat Kohli’s return, many former cricketers were of the opinion that Australia would clean sweep the series but the visiting team made a strong comeback under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahana and proved everyone wrong by winning the Boxing Day test match by 8 wickets.

The third test match will start on January 7, 2021, and most probably Rohit Sharma will also be a part of the team. Now it will be interesting to see who Hitman will replace. What do you think?

Bengaluru Woman Orders 2 Free Thalis Online, Gets Duped Of Rs 50K

There is no denying the fact that our lives have become very easy after we have started making online transactions whether it is shopping, transferring funds, booking cabs, ordering food, etc. However, it also increases the risk of getting robbed as our smartphones contain all the details required to make financial transactions and if someone gets to know these details, he can rob our money.

Representational Image

The government, banks and various other financial institutions have been advising people against sharing their bank details with other people for a long time now but still many individuals make the mistake of sharing their details which ultimately make their lives troublesome.

A 58 years old woman from Bengaluru who lives in Yelachenahalli in South Bangalore was robbed of Rs. 50K after she ordered food online. The name of the woman is Savita Sharma; she saw an advertisement on the social networking site Facebook in which a restaurant located in Sadashivanagar was offering 2 free thalis on buying one thali of Rs. 250.

She made a call to the number that was given in the advertisement and the person from the other side asked her to pay Rs. 10 in advance. The person also told that she could make the remaining payment in cash when the food would be delivered to her by the delivery boy.

She got a link on her smartphone and filled the form in which she also sent her debit card number and PIN. As soon as she submitted the details, she got the message of Rs. 49,996 being withdrawn from her bank account within few minutes. After this, she tried calling the restaurant but that phone number was switched off. Next day, she made a complaint at the Cyber Crime Economic Offences & Narcotics (CEN) police station.

Ashwin’s Wife Tells Importance Of 2nd Test Win For Him, “I’ve Never Seen Him So Happy & Satisfied”

The Indian cricket team has leveled the four-match test series by 1-1 after defeating the Australian team by 8 wickets and it will certainly boost their morale to a great extent as they have got this win in a condition when nobody was giving them even a chance because Virat Kohli and Mohammad Shami were not a part of the squad.

A lot of credit goes to the stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane and senior players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja who rose up to the situation and inspired the youngsters also to perform well. With this victory, the Indian team has also silenced their critics who were slamming them after their dismal performance in the Adelaide test especially in the second innings in which the squad got all out for just 36 which is their lowest score in the test matches.

R Ashwin, the Indian spinner, played a significant role in India’s win as he took 5 important wickets in the match. In the first innings of Australia, Ashwin dismissed Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith, Matthew Wade and skipper Tim Paine while in the second innings, he took wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Josh Hazlewood.

After the wonderful victory, the Indian spinner took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and not only congratulated the squad but also praised Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj for performing well on their debut.

Ashwin posted the photo of himself with few of his teammates and wrote, “When your backs are up against the wall, lean back and enjoy the support of the wall!! Well done to the entire team and what a win that was. Special mention to Mohd Siraj and @RealShubmanGill”.

Ashwin’s wife Prithi Ashwin also tweets that she has spoken to her husband after many test matches and many victories but she has never seen him as happy, satisfied and light as he is after the win in the second test match of the series.

Here is what Prithi wrote, “I have seen/ spoken to Ashwin after every Test he has played and after a lot of wins. But I have never seen him this happy, satisfied and light (can I say?) with a smile in his eyes in almost 10 years.”

What Prithi Ashwin has tweeted is more than enough to make us understand the importance of victory for the Indian cricketers which they have got in the second test match.

The Indian squad may have to make some changes in this winning team as Rohit Sharma will be available for playing the third test match which will start on January 7, 2021. Who do you think will be replaced by Hitman?

“People Have Issue With How Virat Expresses,” Deep Dasgupta On Rahane’s Full-Time Test Captaincy

There is no doubt that Ajinkya Rahane is the man of the moment as he led the Indian team from the front in the Boxing Day test match which India won by 8 wickets. He is getting a lot of love and respect from the cricket lovers for not just his century that he scored in the first innings but also for the cool and calm attitude with which he captained his side. Some cricket lovers are of the opinion that Ajinkya Rahane should be handed over the captaincy of the Indian test team permanently because he has a 100 percent track record of winning as a captain.

The former Indian cricketer Deep Dasgupta has opened up on the matter of Rahane replacing Virat Kohli as a test skipper. He is of the opinion that this issue is being raised only because people don’t like Virat being expressive on the field while Rahane has been quite cool and calm. Deep Dasgupta says that he is not taking the credit from Ajinkya Rahane for the wonderful win but it is just one test match. As per him, we should not forget that other players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah have also performed brilliantly and it doesn’t seem as if Virat Kohli has made any mistake. Deep further strengthens his point that people don’t like the manner in which Virat expresses himself on the field but that is how he is.

While speaking to a news portal, Deep Dasgupta further says that under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, India has won many test matches including the 2018-19 India-Australia series. He also adds that the Indian squad has remained on the first position in the ICC rankings for quite a long period under Kohli’s captaincy. According to Deep Dasgupta, it is really good that team India has so many leaders but decisions can’t be made on the basis of only one win. He goes on to say that even in the first test match which was played in Adelaide, India was playing better than Australia and it was only in the second innings that the Indian batting fumbled and there was not much that a skipper could do about it.

While concluding, Deep Dasgupta praises Ajinkya Rahane and states that he has led the Mumbai team in a good manner, adding that there is no doubt he is a great captain.
