A 29 years old female IT professional from Pune, Maharashtra, lost her Rs. 26 lakh as she got cheated online by the fraudsters who used the gift trick to rob the woman. The IT professional was made to believe that she would be getting an expensive gift from the boss of the company which is situated in Australia. First the IT professional was asked to deposit some money as a part payment of the fees and some other charges. Then she was asked to pay more if she wanted to claim the gift as it had been seized by the customs.
The IT-professional has not only borrowed Rs. 3 lakh from her father-in-law and some money from her relatives but she is also trying for two personal loans separately. However when she asked a relative from Mumbai to lend her some money, he felt that there was something wrong and he came to Pune. On Friday, the relative arrived in Pune and after that, the victim filed a complaint in the Hinjewadi police station.

Some Indian farmers have gathered at the borders of national capital New Delhi and have been protesting against the new agricultural reforms bill which has been passed by the Modi government this year. The protest has been going on for more than 2 weeks now and it is undoubtedly difficult for the farmers, especially the old ones to stay in the open in winter season. Nevertheless, they are not the only ones to have been affected as the protests have become a problem for the people who live nearby the borders as well as for those who have to travel through these borders on a regular basis. The talks between the government and farmer leaders is going on, the government has made it clear that they are ready to talk on each and every issue and they will also make amendments if needed but both the parties have failed to reach any agreement.
There is no denying the fact that the farmers protest has become the center of controversy after the photos and videos went viral in which the protestors are seen demanding the release of those people who have been arrested for carrying out anti-national activities. The protestors are getting a lot of help from the international foundations as they have not only arranged for beds and blankets but also roti making machine, foot massagers, etc. The foot massagers are given by an NGO Khalsa Aid and a ten minute session was provided, especially for the old farmers so that they can remain fit.
The farmers were also seen having pizzas and biryani in some of the photos that went viral which made the netizens angry and they started asking whether the farmers are taking part in protests or enjoying picnic. People get angrier because they feel that these protests are going on the lines of Shaheen Bagh protests which were made against the Citizen Amendment Act which was passed by the government last year.

Irrfan Khan, the late Bollywood actor, will always remain in our hearts as he entertained us for so many years and most of the times, his characters felt related to us. The “Maqbool” star was certainly one of the best actors of all times and enjoyed a huge fan base which included not only Indians but the global movie lovers as well. Irrfan worked in many Hollywood movies but he was not able to work in the Hollywood sci-fi flick “Interstellar” which was directed by Christopher Nolan who is counted among the best movie directors.
In an interview, Irrfan revealed why he refused to work in “Interstellar”, he told that the team of the movie demanded a very big commitment from him which was to stay in USA for a period of four months and that was not possible for Irrfan.
The “English Medium” actor tried to convince them that he would adjust his schedule and work by shuttling between USA and India as he won’t be able to stay for such a long time period in USA. He needed to be in India for two of his movies, “The Lunchbox” and “D-Day”. Nevertheless, the suggestion was not accepted by the “Interstellar” team and Irrfan had to refuse. The “Paan Singh Tomar” actor added that he was not that type of person who would regret anything but as it was Christopher Nolan’s movie, it was amongst the most difficult decisions that he took in his life.
Recently, Christopher Nolan also talked about being not able to work with Irrfan Khan. He said that he met Irrfan for “Interstellar” and was interested in working with him. The director further added that it was really unfortunate that he couldn’t work with Irrfan as he was a great actor.
The star cast of “Interstellar” included Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway and the flick was a big hit on the box-office. Presently, Christopher Nolan directed “Tenet”, a spy thriller is being shown in the Indian cinema halls and the veteran Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia has worked in this movie. “Tenet” star cast includes John David Washington and Robert Pattinson and the flick has been praised by the critics as well.
Irrfan suffered from a prolonged illness but he kept on working till the last breath as “Angrezi Medium” was his last movie which was released on the digital platform as the cinema halls were closed to due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya is undoubtedly an integral part of team India and in the recently concluded T20I series against Australia, he once again played an important role and helped his team in winning the series. While the Australian team won the ODI series by 2-1, the Indian squad proved themselves to be better in the shortest format and won the series by 2-1. Hardik Pandya was awarded with the Man of the Series for the superb game that he played but the all-rounder did something which not only amplified his fan base but also increased his respect among the cricket lovers.
Hardik Pandya was so impressed with the young Indian pacer T. Natarajan that he took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and made it known to everyone that in his opinion, T. Natarajan deserves the Man of the Series award.

The former Pakistani spinner took to Twitter and appreciated Hardik for his adorable gesture, saying that this would certainly motivate and inspire the young cricketer Natarajan. However, he used this moment to slam the Pakistani cricketing culture as well and said that nobody in Pakistan cricket does like this as everyone thinks about himself only.

The coronavirus pandemic is still not in complete control in India and though the recovery rate is good and the number of COVID-19 cases getting registered every day is also lower than earlier, we still can’t afford to be careless. The Indian government imposed lockdown in the month of March as the number of COVID-19 positive cases was increasing at a very high pace and schools, colleges, cinema halls, gyms, stadiums and all the places where crowd gathering was possible were closed down.
After almost 3 months, the government started unlocking the country and in the present scenario, it has allowed marriages, functions, etc. as well but with some restrictions. While the government has made it clear that wearing mask and maintaining social distancing are compulsory, there is also a restriction on the number of guests who can be invited in marriage ceremony or any other function.

Nushrat Bharucha must be pretty happy nowadays as her performance in the last movie “Chhalaang” is being appreciated by the audiences and she has been giving back to back hits for some time. The actress made her debut with Jai Santoshi Maa in 2006 and since then, she has worked in some hit movies such as “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”, “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety”, “Dream Girl”, etc.
Recently while giving an interview, Nushrat opened up on various issues related to Bollywood. She says that she feels the industry is still not ready to cast new actors for different roles as the mentality of “poster par kya acha lagega (what will look good on the poster)” is still very strong. She is of the opinion that the industry doesn’t trust the actors as much it should and cast them for different roles. She further adds that the moviemakers like to cast the same people for the same type of role and not for different roles as they think that they haven’t seen this actor playing such a different role.
Nushrat Bharucha goes on to say that every actor is talented and wants to do new roles which brings a refreshing change in the career but that is not happening as we are trapped inside the attitude of what will look good on poster and that, as per her, should change.
She talks about her career as well and says that the people from the industry want to see her in similar romantic comedies as she has worked in some as they have performed well on the box-office but now she wants to do something new. She further asks why the moviemakers don’t believe that she can be successful in different roles as well. Nushrat Bharucha says that she is offered romantic comedies but the truth is that people didn’t want to cast her in romantic comedies before some of her romantic comedies did well on box-office.
The actress feels that the digital platforms will bring a big change and that will be for better. She thinks that it will change the way the Indian audiences view the movies as now they will like the flick for the content and not for the fact that it has earned so much on the box-office so it must be a good film. She says that she is happy now they have stronger fan base which will follow them for their art and sensibilities.

The crimes against women are taking place not just in India but in other countries of the world as well despite the fact that the governments are coming up with stricter laws for protecting the women. Putting all the responsibility on the government for providing security to the women is not a solution of the problem. The common public should also be ready to raise their voice whenever they see something wrong happening with someone and if they are victim, they should ensure that the culprit doesn’t walk away without getting punished.

A minor girl has shown the way to many girls who get molested and harassed by the strangers while going to schools, colleges or when in malls, public places or crowded places but they choose to remain mum as they don’t want to create any scene due to the fear of society.
An auto-rickshaw driver whose name is Kapil Kumar Gupta has been sent to prison for 3 years as well as fined Rs. 10K by the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) court as he was found guilty of molesting two minor girls. The incident dates to July 2015 when two sisters boarded an auto-rickshaw at 6:45 am for going to their school.
The elder sister who was 15 yrs old at that time told the court that the driver touched her in an inappropriate manner and when she objected, he gave the excuse that it was done by mistake as he was adjusting the meter and the curtains. However, when he repeated the disgusting act with the younger one, the elder sister hit the driver with her umbrella. On reaching the school, the elder sister paid the fare and also noted down the number of the auto-rickshaw after which she informed her teacher about the incident.

The father of the two girls supported them and a complaint was filed against the auto-driver. While giving its decision, the court also says that such incidents have adverse impact on the minds of the kids and instill fear in them, so these kinds of incidents should be dealt harshly and the culprits should be given severe punishment. The court also adds that the victims should also be compensated for the mental trauma that they underwent because of the degrading acts of the culprit.
