Imrah Tahir Crossing Legs & Sitting On Ground Relaxingly To Celebrate Becomes A Viral Meme

Many cricketers say goodbye to the game as they reach their mid-thirties or late thirties because their fitness levels are not up to the mark and they are not able to compete with the youngsters. However, there is one cricketer who is as energetic and enthusiastic as a 20 years old player despite crossing 40 yrs of age.

Yes, we are talking about South African cricketer Imran Tahir who is known for his celebration style after dismissing a batsman. Whenever Imran dismisses a batsman or becomes a part of dismissal by taking a catch or carrying out a run-out, he sprints with his hands spread in joy in the ground. Imran has himself revealed that once he went out of the ground while celebrating which clearly explains how energetic the 41-yr cricketer is.

His fans were quite disappointed as he didn’t play even a single match in the recently concluded IPL 2020 for his team Chennai Super Kings. However, what surprised everyone was the fact that Imran Tahir was the Purple Cap holder in the IPL 2019 with 26 wickets and played an important role in taking CSK to the finals.

Imran Tahir is presently playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Multan Sultans. The Pakistani cricket board is conducting the remaining matches of the PSL which were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The league was originally organized in February but the players were sent back home mid-tournament as COVID-19 started spreading at a high rate.

Imran Tahir was quite impressive with ball in the match against Karachi Kings in the Qualifier as he gave away only 22 runs in his 4 overs and also dismissed Sherfane Rutherford. Imran also took the catch of Sharjeel Khan on the bowling of Sohail Tanvir but he did something which soon become a meme material. After taking the catch of Sharjeel Khan, instead of running with joy, Imran Tahir sat on the ground with legs crossed and gave a relaxing pose.

Soon the social media networks were flooded with memes and jokes based on the pose given by the spinner and here are some of the selected reactions:

Batting first, Multan Sultans gave a target of 142 runs to Karachi Kings but the latter managed to tie the match only because of which the match went into super over. Karachi Kings won the match in the super over as they scored 13 runs while Multan Sultans managed only 9 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav Likes A Controversial Post Mocking RCB Skipper Virat Kohli But Later Unlikes It

Suryakumar Yadav is one of the most talented Indian cricketers who are constantly trying to secure their berth in the Indian team on the basis of their superb performances in domestic cricket and IPL. He has been an integral part of the IPL team Mumbai Indians, has performed great in the IPL 2020 and helped his team in lifting the trophy for the fifth time.

The Indian cricket fans were not happy with the decision of the BCCI selection committee when they didn’t include Suryakumar Yadav in the Indian squad for the Australian tour. While many slammed the selectors, several others called the selectors very harsh on the promising talent.

Suryakumar was also quite disappointed and during an IPL 2020 match between MI and Royal Challengers Bangalore, he also got engaged in a verbal duel with the RCB skipper Virat Kohli who also leads the Indian cricket team. Some saw this verbal clash as an attempt by Suryakumar Yadav to vent out his anger and annoyance. In one of the matches against RCB, he played a brilliant knock of 79 runs not out for which he played only 43 balls and assisted his team in winning the match.

Now Suryakumar Yadav is once again in news but for something controversial. Recently, he liked a meme which was posted in favor of the MI skipper Rohit Sharma but another noteworthy thing was that it trolled Virat Kohli. The demand of removing Virat Kohli from the captaincy of India’s T20 team got stronger after Rohit Sharma led MI to the fifth title win.

If we talk about RCB which is led by Virat Kohli, it managed to reach the play-offs but was shown the exit door by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eliminator of the IPL 2020. Virat is often on the receiving end in regard to the league as RCB has not won a single IPL title despite the fact that Virat Kohli who is termed as G.O.A.T. (greatest of all times) has been associated with the team since the inaugural edition of 2008 while since 2013, he has been leading the team.

Here is the tweet which was liked by Suryakumar Yadav:

Though Suryakumar Yadav unliked the tweet later, it was noticed by many online users till then and now it has become a topic of discussion on social media networks.

Suryakumar Yadav may be disappointed for not getting selected for the Australian tour but he was praised by the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly as well. Dada called him a talented cricketer, adding that his time would certainly come.

What is your take on this matter? Do let us know.

Virat Kohli Was Called Hypocrite For His Diwali Video, RCB Responded With A Clarification

The Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is presently in Australia with the Indian squad as India is scheduled to play four test matches, 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs over there. The ODI series will start from November 27 but Virat won’t be a part of the complete tour as he will return to India on paternity leave for the birth of his first baby.

However, things don’t seem to go right for Kohli at the moment as his team Royal Challengers Bangalore once again failed to win the IPL in this season. He has been associated with RCB since the start of the league in 2008 and since 2013, he has been leading the team as well. Recently, he invited the wrath of netizens when he posted a video in which he wished everyone a Happy Diwali but also asked people not to burst crackers. He suggested lighting diyas and relishing sweets with family members to keep the environment clean.

Here is the video if you have not watched it so far:

The advice of not bursting crackers didn’t go well with the online users and they called Virat hypocrite for keeping mum when RCB and IPL used to burst firecrackers after each IPL match. He was slammed for the video which was posted by RCB on the birthday of its skipper in which the visuals of firecrackers were clearly seen.

However, now the official Twitter handle of RCB has posted a tweet in which they have revealed that they didn’t burst crackers and the visuals were taken from an old footage of UAE’s Flag Day which is celebrated on November 3.

This is what RCB tweeted, “Hope you are all enjoying a happy and peaceful Diwali with family and friends. To clarify, the fireworks shown in RCB’s recent celebratory video was archival footage of UAE’s Flag Day celebrations. RCB continues to work hard to protect the environment like we’ve over the years.”

Cricket Fans Express Unhappiness As IPL Got Over, Asks “Ab Kya Karein” Through Memes

Many cricket lovers were disheartened when the IPL 2020 which was supposed to start on March 29 got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. At that time, there was no surety as to whether IPL will take place this year or not but BCCI made it a point by organizing it in UAE from September 19 till November 10.

It was certainly not an easy task to organize a tournament in a foreign country especially when the overseas players are also a part of it. But BCCI organized the league successfully and it provided a lot of entertainment to cricket fans, especially in the tough times of the coronavirus pandemic. Total 60 matches were played in the IPL 2020 and the final was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

While MI was the defending champion and 4 times IPL winner, DC entered the finals for the first time in the IPL history. DC gave a modest target of 157 runs to MI which the defending champions achieved easily and won the match by 5 wickets. The DC skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant scored half-centuries for their team; on the other hand, the MI skipper Rohit Sharma also played a superb knock of 68 runs for his team. MI player Trent Boult was adjudged as the player of the match for his brilliant bowling of 3/30.

While the MI fans were very happy seeing their team lifting the trophy for the fifth time, there were many who were very much concerned as to what they will do from the next day as the IPL got over. The online users expressed their opinion on Twitter in a funny way by posting memes and jokes and here are some of the selected reactions:

While we should celebrate the festival with full zeal and enthusiasm, we should also make sure that we keep ourselves safe from the coronavirus pandemic by following all the precautionary measures. We should also be selective in shopping as staying in crowded places increases the risk of getting infected, so it is better to finish shopping quickly yet keeping in mind social distancing.

Many people are not serious in regard to the coronavirus pandemic, they are not even wearing masks so it is better to stay away from such people and inform the concerned authorities about them.

Have you bought the box of Soan Papdi for your family members, relatives and friends?
