Virat Kohli Was Called Hypocrite For His Diwali Video, RCB Responded With A Clarification

The Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is presently in Australia with the Indian squad as India is scheduled to play four test matches, 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs over there. The ODI series will start from November 27 but Virat won’t be a part of the complete tour as he will return to India on paternity leave for the birth of his first baby.

However, things don’t seem to go right for Kohli at the moment as his team Royal Challengers Bangalore once again failed to win the IPL in this season. He has been associated with RCB since the start of the league in 2008 and since 2013, he has been leading the team as well. Recently, he invited the wrath of netizens when he posted a video in which he wished everyone a Happy Diwali but also asked people not to burst crackers. He suggested lighting diyas and relishing sweets with family members to keep the environment clean.

Here is the video if you have not watched it so far:

The advice of not bursting crackers didn’t go well with the online users and they called Virat hypocrite for keeping mum when RCB and IPL used to burst firecrackers after each IPL match. He was slammed for the video which was posted by RCB on the birthday of its skipper in which the visuals of firecrackers were clearly seen.

However, now the official Twitter handle of RCB has posted a tweet in which they have revealed that they didn’t burst crackers and the visuals were taken from an old footage of UAE’s Flag Day which is celebrated on November 3.

This is what RCB tweeted, “Hope you are all enjoying a happy and peaceful Diwali with family and friends. To clarify, the fireworks shown in RCB’s recent celebratory video was archival footage of UAE’s Flag Day celebrations. RCB continues to work hard to protect the environment like we’ve over the years.”

Cricket Fans Express Unhappiness As IPL Got Over, Asks “Ab Kya Karein” Through Memes

Many cricket lovers were disheartened when the IPL 2020 which was supposed to start on March 29 got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. At that time, there was no surety as to whether IPL will take place this year or not but BCCI made it a point by organizing it in UAE from September 19 till November 10.

It was certainly not an easy task to organize a tournament in a foreign country especially when the overseas players are also a part of it. But BCCI organized the league successfully and it provided a lot of entertainment to cricket fans, especially in the tough times of the coronavirus pandemic. Total 60 matches were played in the IPL 2020 and the final was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

While MI was the defending champion and 4 times IPL winner, DC entered the finals for the first time in the IPL history. DC gave a modest target of 157 runs to MI which the defending champions achieved easily and won the match by 5 wickets. The DC skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant scored half-centuries for their team; on the other hand, the MI skipper Rohit Sharma also played a superb knock of 68 runs for his team. MI player Trent Boult was adjudged as the player of the match for his brilliant bowling of 3/30.

While the MI fans were very happy seeing their team lifting the trophy for the fifth time, there were many who were very much concerned as to what they will do from the next day as the IPL got over. The online users expressed their opinion on Twitter in a funny way by posting memes and jokes and here are some of the selected reactions:

This year’s Diwali will be a little different from all other Diwalis that we have celebrated due to the coronavirus pandemic but there are some things which are pretty intact this year as well. For example, each household will definitely indulge in Diwali Ki Safai and every person must be thinking about Diwali bonus. There is one more thing which will remain pretty same in this Diwali and that is our love for delicious sweets. Festivals are a great time to dig our teeth in mouth-watering sweet delicacies and we will be doing it this year as well. How can we forget to mention the boxes of Soan Papdi that are exchanged as gifts?

The Indian Twitterati has an opinion on almost everything and they are pretty talented as well to express it in a funny manner. The online users started posting memes on the importance of Soan Papdi in the Indian festival of Diwali and these reactions are pretty relatable:

While we should celebrate the festival with full zeal and enthusiasm, we should also make sure that we keep ourselves safe from the coronavirus pandemic by following all the precautionary measures. We should also be selective in shopping as staying in crowded places increases the risk of getting infected, so it is better to finish shopping quickly yet keeping in mind social distancing.

Many people are not serious in regard to the coronavirus pandemic, they are not even wearing masks so it is better to stay away from such people and inform the concerned authorities about them.

Have you bought the box of Soan Papdi for your family members, relatives and friends?

Tamannaah Has A Befitting Reply To Haters Who Trolled Her For Gaining Weight After COVID-19

The condition of the coronavirus pandemic is under control in India at the moment but everyone needs to follow the safety guidelines properly because the vaccine is still not available in the market. People who get infected with the lethal COVID-19 virus are either home quarantined or admitted in hospital depending on their condition and they have to undergo a medical course until they test negative.

The medicines given in this treatment are quite powerful and they may have some side-effects on patient such as hair loss, weight gain, etc. In such a scenario, the person should be dealt with care and love after getting recovered from coronavirus and no one should make fun of the changes that came in the individual’s body due to side-effects of the medicine.

The actress Tamannaah Bhatia who has worked in few Hindi movies but is mostly seen in southern films was also tested positive for COVID-19. She got admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad and got treated over there by a team of medical experts. Recently, she talked about her battle with the lethal virus and said that she was very scared during the treatment and lived constantly under the fear of losing her life. She revealed that her symptoms were very serious but the doctors saved her life. She was thankful to not only the doctors but also her parents who stood by her during the whole time. Tamannaah further added that this phase made her realize the true value of life.

On the question of haters who are making fun of her because she has gained weight, the “Himmatwala” actress says that she was on very heavy medication because of which she has put on weight. She expresses her sense of surprise as to how insensitive people can be because they are concerned with the physical appearance only and not with what a person has suffered in the process.

Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most popular actresses of the southern industry and she was also a part of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali” series which indeed added to her fame and recognition.

We wish Tamannaah good health and prosperity!

Ravi Shastri Didn’t Include Sourav Ganguly While Congratulating IPL 2020 Organisers, Got Slammed

The whole world was brought to a standstill by the coronavirus pandemic and the Indian government was also forced to impose a lockdown in the month of March. The IPL 2020 which was supposed to start on March 29 was postponed too and there was no surety of it even taking place in this time of crisis. However, the BCCI headed by its President Sourav Ganguly was in no mood to let this year pass by without the IPL and they worked hard to organize it in UAE as the situation of the COVID-19 outbreak was not in control in India at that time.

The IPL 2020 got commenced on September 19 and it ended yesterday (Nov 10) with Mumbai Indians winning the trophy for the fifth time. MI defeated Delhi Capitals in the finals by five wickets to lift the IPL trophy. DC reached the finals of the tournament for the first time ever under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer but MI proved to be too good for them.

The former cricketers and other people from the cricket fraternity took to social media to congratulate BCCI for organizing the league in these difficult times. The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri also took to Twitter and praised the top officials of BCCI along with the medical staff for successfully organizing the IPL 2020 but he also did something which made him the target of the trollers. He didn’t include the name of Sourav Ganguly, the President of the BCCI, in his tweet, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

Ravi Shastri posted the photo of the IPL trophy and wrote, “Take a BOW @JayShah, Brijesh Patel, @hemangamin and the medical staff of the @BCCI for pulling off the impossible and making it a Dream @IPL #IPL2020 #IPLfinal”.

Do you also feel that Ravi Shastri snubbed Sourav Ganguly intentionally as the netizens felt because Shastri was not recommended for the post of the Indian coach in 2016 by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) in which Dada was also a member? Let us know your views.

AB De Villiers Congratulated MI On Winning IPL 2020 Trophy, Fans Requested Him To Change Team

The IPL 2020 ended with Mumbai Indians lifting the trophy for the fifth time after defeating Delhi Capitals in the final match of the tournament which was played at Dubai International Stadium. MI entered the tournament as the defending champion and with this win, they became the second team to retain the trophy after Chennai Super Kings which is the second most successful team of the IPL with three title wins.

Though Delhi Capitals played good cricket against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 2 in order to win the match and enter the final, they were no match to MI which played like champions. Batting first, DC scored 156/7 with the help of two brilliant half-century knocks of skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant but MI achieved the target in the 19th over and won the match by 5 wickets. MI skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front and played a beautiful knock of 68 runs and Ishan Kishan with the help of his quick knock of 33 in 19 balls ensured that his team has no problem in winning the match.

After the match, fans and various celebs from Bollywood and cricket took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate the MI. The South African cricketer AB de Villiers was also one of them and he even called MI the best team of the tournament.

Here is what he tweeted, “Well done @mipaltan ! Without a doubt the best team this year.” With the tweet, he also posted a video in which Rohit Sharma was seen lifting the IPL 2020 trophy.

AB de Villiers is one of the best cricketers of the present times but even after playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2011, he has not been able to lift the trophy. AB is the second highest scorer of RCB after the skipper Virat Kohli who has been leading the side since 2013 and has been playing for the Bangalore franchise since the inaugural edition of 2008.

As AB de Villiers congratulated Mumbai Indians, fans were not able to keep calm and they started requesting him to change the team as they feel that if he stays in RCB, he won’t be able to win the IPL ever.

David Warner Has A Special Wish For T Natarajan On His Selection In The Indian Squad

The final match of the IPL 2020 will be played today (10 November) between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and first time finalists Delhi Capitals. The Delhi franchise was lucky enough to get a second chance after they got defeated in the Qualifier 1 by Mumbai Indians and they ensured that they used the golden opportunity to the maximum by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 2.

SRH was not able to make much impact in the beginning and then they had some injuries but they gained momentum at the right time and managed to enter the play-offs. David Warner-led Hyderabad franchise made its way in the Qualifier 2 by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator.

As the season came to an end for the SRH team, the skipper David Warner made a video in which he talked about this season and thanked the franchise, team and support staff for all the love and support.

He also congratulated T Natarajan for getting selected in the Indian squad for the Australian tour and wrote, “Congratulations Nattu, I will see you in Australia”.

The video was posted by the official Twitter handle of the franchise and they captioned it as, “A few words from the captain as we conclude a memorable season”.

Here is the video:

Though T Natarajan was flying to Australia as a backup bowler, he will be replacing Varun Chakravarthy in the squad after the latter got ruled out due to the shoulder injury.

Natarajan has performed so well in the IPL 2020 that David Warner has called him the find of the season. The 29 years old pacer has taken 16 wickets in the tournament with an economy rate of 8.02 and his performance was noticed by the selectors as well. What made him more special is the fact that he bowled total 65 yorkers in the IPL 2020 and stood at the top in this category, three times more than the second-best.

Hopefully T Natarajan will perform great in Australia, however we are pretty sure that David Warner will certainly guide his teammates in regard to facing Natarajan.
