MS Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the most popular cricketers of the present times and he is loved and admired by not only aspiring young cricketers but his contemporaries as well.
The IPL 2020 was not at all good for MS Dhoni and his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as they were able to win only 6 matches out of 14 matches they have played and as a result, CSK didn’t manage to enter the play-offs for the first time in the history of the IPL. Though Dhoni didn’t even bat in his last match of the IPL 2020 which was against Kings XI Punjab, still he was trending on the social media networks because of the two words that he said at the toss.
There were some rumours that the IPL 2020 may be Dhoni’s last IPL as he has already retired from the international cricket and many opposition players were taking his signed jersey from him which further strengthened the rumours.
However at the toss when Danny Morrison asked the captain cool whether this is going to be his last match in the yellow ever, Dhoni said, “definitely not”.

In the presentation ceremony which took place after the match, Dhoni said that other cricketers may be thinking that he is retiring this year from the IPL because of which they may be asking for his jersey.
As far as the match is concerned, CSK defeated KXIP by 9 wickets and with this defeat, the journey of KXIP also ended in the IPL 2020. CSK won the toss in the match which was played Sheikh Zayed stadium and asked KXIP to bat first. The Punjab team managed only 153 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the 20 overs, thanks to the blasting innings of Deepak Hooda who scored 62 run for which he played only 30 balls.
CSK openers ensured that their team did not face any problem in winning the match as Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant innings of 62 and Faf du Plessis scored 48 in 34 balls. Ambati Rayudu also supported his team by scoring 30 runs and the match ended with 7 balls remaining.
Well, it is really great news for fans of Dhoni as they will get to see Thala playing once again for CSK.

There have been times when the results of cricket matches have been severely affected by the mistakes committed by the on-field umpires. Most of the times, the matter is not taken seriously as umpires are also humans but sometimes, it is impossible to believe that an umpire can make such a silly mistake. Something similar happened in the match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore which was played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 31.
During the SRH innings, the RCB bowler Isuru Udana was bowling and while throwing a delivery, the ball slipped off from his hand due to the dew and went as a waist high full toss to the batsman Kane Williamson. The Kiwi cricketer played a shot towards fine leg and then he looked towards the umpire expecting him to give it a no-ball but the umpire seemed to be not at all concerned about it.
This umpiring mistake pissed off many people from the cricket fraternity including the Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh who took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and posted a video of the delivery with caption, “No this isn’t a no ball” with confusing and laughing emojis.
As far as the match is concerned, SRH defeated RCB in a comfortable manner. David Warner won the toss and put RCB to bat first. However, the batsmen of RCB failed miserably and they managed only 120 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Josh Philippe was the top scorer for RCB with 32 runs.
Chasing a small target of 121 runs, SRH also lost its skipper early but Wriddhiman Saha (39) and Manish Pandey (26) stabilized the innings and the finishing touch was given by Jason Holder who scored 26 in just 10 balls. SRH won the match by 5 wickets with 35 balls remaining to bowl and Sandeep Sharma of SRH was adjudged player of the match for taking 2 wickets and conceding only 20 runs in his 4 over spell.

Rohit Sharma is undoubtedly an integral part of the Indian cricket team but at present, he is at the center of a controversy which doesn’t seem to end any sooner. The skipper of Mumbai Indians suffered hamstring injury in a match against Kings XI Punjab and since then, he has not been a part of MI’s playing XI.
Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the list of the Indian squad for the Australian tour in which India will play 4 test matches, 3 ODIs and the same number of T20Is. Many former cricketers and fans were left surprised as Rohit Sharma was not included in the squad, though BCCI stated that they would be monitoring the injury status of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma, the Indian pacer. Many including former cricketer Virender Sehwag opined that since the Australian tour is a long tour, the selectors have been harsh on Rohit Sharma by excluding him.
But the real shock came for everyone when Mumbai Indians posted photos of Rohit Sharma practicing on nets on its social media accounts. Cricket fans and people from the cricket fraternity were of the opinion that the Mumbai franchise should have issued a statement in regard to Rohit’s fitness or at least Hitman himself could have made a post on social media to give an update of his fitness. While the debate is still on, the head coach of the Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri has opened up on this matter.
Ravi Shastri says that getting injured is the most frustrating thing for a player and there are times when a player wants to check himself as to how soon he may make a comeback on the field. He further adds that the problem arises when a player decides to test himself but it is also true that only a player knows completely whether he is 100 percent fit or not.
The former Indian cricketer narrated his own example and explained how an act committed in haste can finish the career of a player. He said that in 1991, he went back to Australia to play which was his mistake. As per him, the doctors instructed him not to go but he didn’t listen to them and went there as he was greedy and eventually, his career got finished because of that. He added that he could have played for 4-5 more years if had not made that mistake and instead had taken a break of 3-4 months.
Ravi Shastri goes on to say that as Rohit is a very important player, he should exercise patience and restraint otherwise he may also face some problem.

Pizza is one of the most loved food items of the world and it is served in a manner which defines its way of eating. It is mostly circle shaped, divided in triangle shaped pieces and a person is supposed to eat it piece by piece. Mostly people like to eat the crust in the end but some people start eating from any side.

In the US, there is a restaurant named Honest Crust Sour Dough Pizza and they posted a tweet in which they revealed the manner in which a customer ate Pizza. The customer used knife and fork and left all the crust in the plate while eating only the middle part.

The IPL 2020 will be ending soon and after that, the Indian cricketers will fly to Australia for playing 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is and 4 test matches. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian playing squad for all the formats. What surprised everyone was the omission of Rohit Sharma from the squad as he is suffering from the hamstring injury.
However, BCCI did make it clear that they will be monitoring the fitness of Rohit Sharma and senior pace bowler Ishant Sharma as both of them are presently injured. While Ishant has already reached the National Cricket Academy for undergoing a rehabilitation program, the skipper of Mumbai Indians is still in Dubai with his team.
The confusion regarding Rohit Sharma increased further when the official social media accounts of MI started posting photos of Hitman practicing in the nets. Soon the former cricketers and fans started questioning Rohit’s presence in the nets and demanded clarity on this matter.
The former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is also unhappy over Rohit Sharma not getting selected in the Indian team for the Australia tour. While speaking to Cricbuzz, Viru has slammed the selectors for not selecting Rohit and for being too harsh on him. Sehwag also talks about how the selectors used to make selection during his playing days. He says that when Srikkanth was the chief selector, a player was not selected for a tour if he is injured on the day of the selection but if Rohit Sharma has not been selected because of the status of his injury at present, the selectors have been very harsh on him.
He further adds that he also doesn’t have any update on Rohit’s injury status and media should ask questions in this regard. Sehwag also asks as to what Rohit is doing with MI if he is injured, adding that Hitman was seen in both the matches in dug-out. He further questions that if he is really injured, what he is doing in the stadium, in fact he should have been on the bed rest in order to get well soon.
Viru also says that if the franchise has been posting photos and videos of Rohit Sharma practicing in the nets, they could have issued a statement to give some clarity on the matter of his injury and could have told that the batsman is trying to get fit. He also adds that nowadays even official statement is not needed as one line on social media about his condition would have been enough. Sehwag goes on to say that Rohit Sharma could have made a post himself on social media and cleared all the confusion.
As of now, KL Rahul has been appointed as Virat Kohli’s deputy in the ODIs and T20s against Australia.

Kolkata Knight Riders is having a tough time in the IPL 2020 especially after the defeat in the match against Chennai Super Kings as it has weakened their chances of entering the play-offs. Presently, KKR is at the sixth spot with 6 wins in 13 matches and whether it will get into the play-offs or not will depend a lot on how the other teams perform. Moreover, they will also have to win their remaining matches.
The former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir under whose leadership KKR won the IPL twice also expressed his unhappiness over the team’s performance and slammed Dinesh Karthik for giving up his captaincy in the middle of the tournament.
In order to improve their game, the KKR management undertook a lot of experimentation in their bowling and batting lineups and as Dinesh Karthik was not in good form, the captaincy was given to Eoin Morgan but this too didn’t help the team in any manner. It was stated by the KKR management that Dinesh Karthik has given up the captaincy so that he can focus more on his batting.
Gautam Gambhir recently had an interaction with cricket.com during which he said that what Dinesh did just shows his mindset. According to the cricketer turned politician, Dinesh Karthik left his captaincy for concentrating on batting but it was of no help so sometimes it is good to take up and fulfill the responsibilities.
He narrated his own example as he said that when he was going through bad form and was out for duck in three matches in a row in 2014, it was his captaincy that helped him in getting back in form. He further added that when he was not able to bat in a good manner, he used to think more about making team win with his captaincy and decision making ability but when you are not leading the side, you will think more about batting which may not be of any help.
