RR Boasts Of Being Unbeaten At Abu Dhabi, Gets Hilariously Trolled By RCB After Being Defeated

Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore is on a roll with three wins out of four matches played by them till now. Presently, RCB is on the second spot with 6 points in the points table after Delhi Capitals which also has the same points but is ahead in terms of run rate.

The last match RCB played was against Rajasthan Royals at Abu Dhabi which the former won easily by 8 wickets. The lethal bowling attack of Bangalore was too good for RR which was 31/3 at one moment but managed to put up a decent total of 154 runs on the board with the help of Mahipal Lomror’s resilient innings of 47 runs for which he played 39 deliveries.

The RCB batsmen were in the attacking mode from the very beginning and one good thing that happened for RCB from this match was that Virat Kohli came back in form. While Devdutt Padikkal played a good knock of 63 (45), the skipper remained not out with 72 for which he played 53 balls. RCB spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was adjudged Player of the Match for his wonderful bowling; he took 3 wickets in his 4 overs spell and gave only 24 runs.

However, RCB proved itself better than RR not only on the field but on Twitter as well. It so happened that before the match, RR tweeted that they have 100 percent record of winning in Abu Dhabi.

Check out the tweet:

Interestingly after the match, RCB responded with a photo of Virat Kohli and wrote “Anybody home? Helloooooo…!”

Here is the tweet:

RCB has been the target of trollers for many years now as they seem to be one of the strongest teams in the IPL but they have never been able to win the trophy. Even Virat Kohli has faced the heat of his fans and followers on various occasions for the dismal performance of his team in the tournament but this time, RCB seems to be a completely different team from the team which we have been seeing in the last three seasons.

Harbhajan Singh Backs Irfan Pathan Over His Tweet On Dhoni’s Age After CSK’s 3 Losses In A Row

Chennai Super Kings may have been the second most successful team of the IPL as it has won the trophy three times but this year nothing seems to be going right in their favor. Earlier they had to remain in quarantine for a period of 14 days because 13 members of their group including two cricketers tested positive for COVID-19 and then their star players Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the tournament due to personal reasons.

Though they started the league with a win against the defending champions Mumbai Indians, they ended up as losers in the next three matches that they played in the tournament so far. What is making things worse for them is that the skipper MS Dhoni is struggling in terms of fitness.

In their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, CSK had to chase the target of 165 but their top 4 batsmen were back in dugout in the first 10 overs only. Now the complete responsibility of winning the match was on MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja and both of them tried their level best but still they lost the match by 7 runs. Jadeja scored 50 before getting out while Dhoni remained not out on 47 but what was worrisome for CSK was that Dhoni was finding it difficult to run fast between the wickets. In fact, he was having difficulty in breathing and the support staff had to come on the field to help him.

Dhoni was already getting slammed for some of his decisions in the last few matches and now his fitness is also under everybody’s radar.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan took a jibe at MS Dhoni by making a cryptic tweet as he wrote, “Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be dropped…”

Pathan was dropped from the team when he was just 27 years old and after that, he was never able to make a comeback in the Indian team. On the other hand, Dhoni is 39 years of age and was part of the team in the ICC World Cup 2019.

Soon Irfan Pathan got the support of his former teammate Harbhajan Singh who shared his tweet with the caption, “10000000 percent agree with you. @IrfanPathan”

Here is the tweet:

The Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is also out of the Indian squad for five years and his return in the team is impossible now as the age is not on his side and also because Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and others are performing quite well.

Getting dropped from the team is certainly painful, what do you say?

Aakash Chopra Gives An Epic Reply After Jimmy Neesham Tries To Troll Him For His T20 Stats

The IPL team Kings XI Punjab is going through a rough phase as they have lost 3 out of 4 matches which they have played and a couple of them were pretty close ones. The last match that they lost was against Mumbai Indians and after this, many cricket experts slammed the management for their team selection and strategy.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra who is a very popular commentator now was also very critical of KXIP and questioned the decision of playing the Kiwi player Jimmy Neesham as Chopra feels that Jimmy is not a match winner. In the match against Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians, the Kiwi all-rounder gave 52 runs in his 4 overs and he also disappointed with bat as he was out for just 7 when his team needed to chase the target of 192 runs.

Now, James Neesham has responded to the comment made by Aakash Chopra and he took to Twitter to make fun of the latter’s statistics in T20I cricket.

Aakash Chopra has not played much T20I as he represented the country only in 21 T20Is in which he scored merely 334 runs, his average was 18.55 and his strike rate was 91.25. If we talk about his IPL career, he has scored only 53 runs in 6 matches with an average of 8.8 while his strike rate was 74.6.

Jimmy tweeted, “Averaging 18.5 striking at 90 doesn’t win many matches either” with laughing emojis.

He tweeted this when a Twitter user asked him to respond on the statement given by Aakash Chopra. Here is the tweet:

Aakash Chopra responds soon and accepts that he is not picked anymore due to his bad T20 record. But he adds that now he is paid for something else and at the same time, he took a funny jibe at Jimmy. Aakash says that he is happy Jimmy has no problem with the observations that he has made but with his stats.

Here is what Aakash tweeted: “Correct my friend. That’s why nobody picks me anymore. I get paid for doing something else I’m glad that you don’t have an issue with my observations but with my cricket stats. Go well for the rest of the #IPL.”

Jimmy Neesham and Aakash Chopra both are known for their sense of humour and wittiness and it will be interesting to see how Jimmy reacts after this response from Aakash.

During the coronavirus lockdown, Yuzi posted a number of funny videos on the social media networks and brought smiles on many faces. He also surprised everyone by announcing his engagement with the choreographer and YouTuber Dhanashree Verma in August. He made this announcement through his official Instagram handle with some really beautiful photos of him with his fiancé.

Presently, the Haryana cricketer is in UAE taking part in the IPL 2020 playing for Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB has won 2 out of its 3 matches and Yuzvendra Chahal was the player of the match in the first match of RCB against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

A post shared by Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal23) on

He captioned the photo, “I’m wearing the smile you gave me..!! ”

Dhanashree was also quick to respond and she wrote, “You’re welcome, keep smiling always.”

While Yuzi is in a good form, the skipper of RCB needs to perform well if he wants his team to win the IPL 2020. Virat Kohli often gets trolled for not winning the tournament because he has been associated with RCB from the start of the IPL in 2008 and since 2013, he has been leading the team.

Do you think RCB will win the IPL 2020?

Cinema Halls To Reopen From October 15, Twitter Celebrated With Hilarious Memes

The whole world was brought to a standstill by the coronavirus pandemic and India was no exception to it. In fact, India was very few of those countries which imposed lockdown at an early stage and quite effectively as well. The schools, colleges, cinema halls, malls, gyms and all such places where crowd gathering could happen were closed down. While the schools and colleges will still remain closed, the government has decided to reopen the cinema halls from October 15.

The central government has released the guidelines for the Unlock 5 and in this phase, the government has allowed social, political, academic, sports, religious and entertainment events but with the maximum attendance of 100 people only outside the containment zones. The cinema halls have been allowed to open with 50 percent attendance with the upper limit of 200 and it has certainly brought a smile on many faces.

This news must have given some relief to the owners of cinema halls and also to those who are employed in this industry as they have been sitting at home for around 6 months. A lot of time will be needed for them to recover their losses as 50% attendance is quite less for them to operate but at least they will start earning now.

The moviemakers will also be little happy as the release of many movies was postponed; however some filmmakers opted for digital release of their flicks as they were not in a position to block their funds for more duration.

Twitterati also reacted in a big way to this news as many of us have been missing watching movies on the big screen. Here are some of the selected reactions:

While it is good for the economy that more and more economic activities are starting, we also need to ensure that we take all the precautions because the situation of COVID-19 is not under control in India. Till now, more than 6.39 million people have been registered as coronavirus positive patients in India while over 99,700 have lost their lives. The good thing is that more than 5.35 million have recovered in India as well but we need to remember that prevention is always better than cure.

What is your take on the reopening of cinema halls?

Ashish Nehra Slammed Mercilessly On Twitter For Saying “Yorkers Are Overrated In T20s”

The IPL 2020 is in its full swing and the authorities are ensuring that all the precautions are taken care of in order to save the players and staff members from the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament was slated to start on March 29 but got postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak and now BCCI is organising it in UAE as the number of COVID-19 positive patients is still increasing in India.

The IPL 2020 is a TV-only event because the entry of spectators in the stadium may increase the spread of coronavirus. The broadcasters have left no stone unturned in hiring the best commentators for the league so that the audiences like not only what they see but also what they hear.

Former Indian cricketers such as Irfan Pathan, Sunil Gavaskar, Aakash Chopra, etc. are doing commentary in Hindi and they are getting praised for their good work as well. The former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra has also become a commentator after serving RCB as a bowling coach for 2 years.

Recently, during a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, Nehra said something which annoyed the Indian Twitterati and they trolled the Delhi cricketer mercilessly.

In the 14th over of the DC innings, T Natarajan tried to deliver a yorker but he missed and Rishabh Pant made no mistake in hitting the full toss for a four. After that, Ashish Nehra who was doing commentary at that time slammed the mentality of bowlers for trying to york the batsmen at an early stage. Netizens believed that Nehra called yorkers over-rated in the T20 matches and opined that bowlers should go for yorkers only in the last 3-4 overs of the innings and that too after seeing the conditions and depending on who is batting.

However, T Natarajan bowled around 6 yorkers in the match which was won by SRH. He was praised by the former Aussie pacer Brett Lee and former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag for the manner in which he bowled and controlled the DC batsmen in the last overs of their innings.

Twitterati slammed Nehra big time and here are some selected tweets:

Virat Kohli Finally Reveals Why He Calls AB De Villiers “Biscuit”

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are the two strong pillars of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore and it is quite surprising that even after having these two in the team, RCB has not been able to win an IPL trophy even once. Virat has been associated with the Bangalore team since the inaugural session of IPL which took place in 2008 and since 2013, he has been leading the team. AB de Villiers joined RCB in 2011 and both Virat and AB have played many important innings for their team. Before joining RCB, AB de Villiers played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals).

Over the years while playing for RCB, they both have become good friends too and they ensured that their fans don’t feel bored in the coronavirus lockdown by indulging in Instagram live chat sessions. It has been noticed that sometimes Virat addresses AB de Villiers as “biscuit” and recently he revealed the reason behind it.

A video has been posted on social media networks by RCB in which Virat tells that it is a South African slang and biscuit or biscotti is used for people whom you like a lot as biscuits are loved by everyone.

In IPL 2020, RCB is going steady with 2 wins out of the 3 matches they have played; however, the skipper Virat Kohli is having a tough time with bat.

Recently, a controversy also erupted after a statement of Sunil Gavaskar related to Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma was twisted on social media and presented in a way that Gavaskar was initially slammed big time. The Bollywood actress also reacted instantly without knowing the full details of the matter and slammed Gavaskar for something which he had not even committed. Well, eventually Gavaskar cleared the things and netizens also understood that he was misinterpreted. All’s well that ends well!

So who is that person in your life whom you can call biscuit?
