Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik make one of the most popular couples of the sports world despite the fact that they both represent different countries in different sports. In fact, they were heavily slammed as well when they decided to tie the knot because India and Pakistan are not on good terms for quite a long time now. While Sania is an Indian tennis player, Shoaib is a Pakistani cricketer and now it has been almost a decade that they have been together as husband and wife. The couple also has a son whom they have named as Izhan Mirza Malik; he was born in 2018 and since then, Sania has taken a break from tennis.
Shoaib is presently in England as Pakistan will be playing a three match T20 series against England starting August 28. Recently while talking to a sports portal, Sania Mirza talked about the old times and shared some beautiful moments with her fans. She states that her relationship with Shoaib is quite enjoyable and it is the first time people come to know that Shoaib talks more than her. She also reveals that they used to have friendly banters in regard to supporting their own countries when they faced each other on the ground.
As per Sania, Shoaib loved playing against India so during their dating period whenever they used to talk about it, she made it clear that she would support India no matter what and he used to tell her that his record against India is the best. She further added that Shoaib has been playing for quite long and he has had a great career.
It is true that Shoaib’s statistics are brilliant against India as the veteran cricketer has played 42 ODIs against India and scored 1782 runs including 4 tons. Shoaib’s average against India is 46.89 and the top score that he made against India is 143 which he made in Colombo.
It is commendable on the part of the couple that they have managed their relationship very well despite the fact that their countries are at loggerheads.

It’s been a great moment for Rohit Sharma, the Indian batsman who is also known as Hitman as he has been conferred with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for his contribution in the field of cricket. He has become the fourth Indian cricketer to receive this award after the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, recently retired MS Dhoni and current skipper of Indian team Virat Kohli.
Other than Rohit Sharma, other cricketers who have been awarded with prestigious awards are Ishant Sharma – Arjuna Award and Deepti Sharma – Arjuna Award. Many other sportspersons have also been conferred with highly esteemed sports awards and they all will receive it in a virtual ceremony which will be taking place on August 29.
Rohit Sharma took to Instagram and posted a video in which he shared his happiness with his fans and also thanked them for their love and support.

While there was nothing humorous in the video, the former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh made up mind to take a jibe at Hitman’s chubby cheeks.
Yuvi commented, “It’s amazing how u can talk while keeping gulab jamuns stuffed on each side of your mouth.” The cricketer also tagged Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh in the comment.
Ritika also responded with, “Must you tease the Khel Ratna”.
Rohit Sharma is in Dubai nowadays with his team Mumbai Indians (MI) as the IPL 2020 is slated to be played in UAE from September 19 till November 10. Rohit is the most successful skipper of the IPL as MI has won the tournament four times under his leadership. The IPL 2020 was supposed to start on March 29 in India but it got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and BCCI was compelled to take the league out of the country this time because the number of COVID-19 positive patients is still on the rise.
Congratulations Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma and Deepti Sharma!

The fans of MS Dhoni were in for a rude shock when the former skipper announced his retirement from the International cricket on 14th August 2020. Earlier it was anticipated that Mahi will be playing the T20 ICC World Cup 2020 but the tournament got cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. What made fans more upset was the fact that Dhoni didn’t even get a proper farewell and the career which was full of achievements came to an end silently through an Instagram post.
It is not the first time that we are hearing about cricketers not getting proper farewell as it has happened earlier also with many other cricketers, such as Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, etc. Whatever may be the reason but it is certainly not good to see cricketers bidding goodbye without a farewell match as at one point of time, they were heroes who helped their team in winning matches and made the country proud.
The former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has come up with a brilliant idea in this regard and his idea has been appreciated by many on social media as well. As per Irfan, a number of people are talking about cricketers not getting proper send-off so why we can’t play a charity plus farewell match in which the present Indian team plays against the team of the retired players. He also posts the list of the retired players XI on the micro-blogging site Twitter in which he includes the name of Suresh Raina also who has followed the footsteps of MS Dhoni and taken retirement on the same day.
Here is what Irfan tweeted, “Many people are talking about a farewell game for retired players who didn’t get a proper send-off from the game. How about a charity cum farewell game from a team consisting of retired players vs the current Indian team?”
While many loved the idea, there was one online user who made a funny comment as he asked Irfan, “Kyun Chiku ko pelne me lge ho” (Why do you want to trouble Chiku aka Virat Kohli).
Here is the tweet:
This tweet must have brought a smile on the face of Irfan Pathan but he came back with a wonderful reply and wrote, “Chiku hamara kachumbar bana dega” which roughly translates to Chiku will destroy us.
Irfan surely has a great sense of humour and fans of MS Dhoni need not be very sad as they will at least see him playing cricket in the IPL 2020. Mahi has been associated with Chennai Super Kings as the skipper since the inaugural edition 2008 and the team has won the league three times under his leadership.
What do you think of the idea given by Irfan Pathan? Let us know.

There is no denying the fact that Indians are crazy for cricket and the Indian Premier League has further increased their madness for the game. It is a known fact that the top Indian cricketers have a great fan base and these fans don’t mind indulging in verbal wars with each other on social media networks.
However, recently an incident took place in Kolhapur in which the fans of two star cricketers crossed all the limits of stupidity. As MS Dhoni got retired some days ago, his fans put up some big hoardings on the side of the road in order to praise Mahi and thank him for giving very beautiful memories.
On Friday, the Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma got the Khel Ratna Award so his fans also put up some big hoardings of the cricketer, congratulating him for the achievement. But Sharma’s hoardings were spoiled by some evil mind people and the fans of both the cricketers stood up against each other.
Things got so ugly that a fan of one cricketer was taken into a sugarcane field by the fans of the other cricketer and beaten badly. This is something very unfortunate and former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag was also very unhappy with it. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and slammed the fans, telling them that the cricketers are either very fond of each other or they don’t talk much but they are one unit.
Viru’s tweet read, “Kya karte rehte ho paagalon. Aapas mein players are either fond of each other or just don’t talk much, kaam se kaam rakhte hain. But kuchh fans alag hi level ke pagle hain. Jhagda Jhagdi mat karo, Team India ko- as one yaad karo.” (What you all keep on doing stupid people. Players are either fond of each other or they don’t talk much, just keep themselves limited to work. But some fans are mad of different level, don’t fight and remember team India is one unit).
We don’t know what effect this tweet will have on those fans but this is certainly a great piece of advice. What do you say?

There are some TV serials which have been showered with lots of love from audiences and the American sitcom Friends is one of them. The American show which was basically a story of six friends (Monica Geller, Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and Ross Geller) was aired on TV from 1994 to 2004. The show has a global fan base and it is loved by the Indian audiences as well.
It is kind of obvious that when something is hit, there are many who try to copy it and repeat its success. In 1999, Zee TV came up with an idea which was heavily inspired by Friends and it was titled as Hello Friends. The makers copied the scenes, situations and even the dialogues from the original but some changes were made in order to fit it in the Indian perspective.
The Indian version of Friends starred Simone Singh (Monica), Nikhil Chinapa (Ross), Anil Dimbri (Joey), Cyrus Broacha (Chandler), Aparna Banerjee (Rachel) and Maria Goretti (Phoebe). 26 episodes of the show were aired on TV but not many people watched it or knew about it.
Recently, a Twitter user shared a clip from the show and called it more harmful than the coronavirus pandemic. The tweet read, “Experts are saying coronavirus is the worst pandemic of our time? thats cute. I think you are forgetting about summer of 1999 when the entire executive board of Zee TV did acid and decided to make desi Friends”.
Here is the tweet:

There is no denying the fact that the Internet has made our lives very easy and comfortable and it has also opened new horizons for us to increase our knowledge, make new friends and know more about the world. When the Internet entered our lives for the first time, the browser Internet Explorer (IE) used to play an important part. However with time, new browsers also came into the market and Internet Explorer got left behind as the new browsers functioned in a pretty fast manner in comparison to IE.
Slowly people started using Internet Explorer less and most of the time, it is used to download another browser. Now, Microsoft has announced that the support for Internet Explorer will shut down on 17th August 2021 which means that the browser will stop working after that. What may have prompted Microsoft to take this step is the fact that in July 2020, only 1.3% of the Internet users opened the browser.
While there have been many memes on Internet Explorer and its slow functioning, the news of its retirement has once again given a chance to meme makers to have some fun. Twitter also doesn’t want to miss the chance of saying goodbye to the browser which had been their companion when they started using the Internet.
This is how social media users reacted over the news:

We may make jokes and memes on IE and enjoy but it won’t be wrong to say that its shut down will certainly bring an end to an era.
Goodbye IE!!!!!

The cricketers are all set to play the IPL 2020 in UAE from September 19 till November 10 and the teams of the tournament have now started flying for Dubai. Yesterday, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) landed in Dubai and the skipper shared the update with his fans by making a post on his official Instagram handle.
In the post, Virat shared a photo of himself with caption, “Hello Dubai”.
Here is the post:
Yuzvendra Chahal who is an integral part of RCB made up mind to have some fun with his skipper and he commented, “Hello from same hotel bhaiya #neighbours.”
As per the rules, the players will be quarantined in their hotel rooms for a week after landing in Dubai as part of the safety procedures. The skipper also responded shortly to Yuzi’s comment and hoped to meet him soon on the field. Virat’s reply read, “Haha soon on the field”.
The fans of RCB are very hopeful that their team will win the IPL this year. Virat Kohli has been a part of RCB since 2008 inaugural edition and from 2013, he has been leading the team but RCB hasn’t been able to win the IPL even once. What makes it more surprising is the fact that RCB has some big names of the cricket world such as AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, etc. but it didn’t manage to take trophy home in the last 12 seasons. Especially, the last three seasons of the IPL have been disastrous for RCB and Virat Kohli has been trolled many times in the past for this reason.
There is no denying the fact that Virat Kohli has to play an important role for RCB if he wants to make his team win the tournament. If we take a look at Kohli’s performance in the IPL, he has scored 5,412 runs till now which is the highest by any batsman and for this total, he has played 177 IPL matches, averaging at 37.84.
Which team do you think will win the IPL 2020?
