Microsoft To Finally Shut Down Internet Explorer, Twitter Floods With Most Hilarious Memes

There is no denying the fact that the Internet has made our lives very easy and comfortable and it has also opened new horizons for us to increase our knowledge, make new friends and know more about the world. When the Internet entered our lives for the first time, the browser Internet Explorer (IE) used to play an important part. However with time, new browsers also came into the market and Internet Explorer got left behind as the new browsers functioned in a pretty fast manner in comparison to IE.

Slowly people started using Internet Explorer less and most of the time, it is used to download another browser. Now, Microsoft has announced that the support for Internet Explorer will shut down on 17th August 2021 which means that the browser will stop working after that. What may have prompted Microsoft to take this step is the fact that in July 2020, only 1.3% of the Internet users opened the browser.

While there have been many memes on Internet Explorer and its slow functioning, the news of its retirement has once again given a chance to meme makers to have some fun. Twitter also doesn’t want to miss the chance of saying goodbye to the browser which had been their companion when they started using the Internet.

This is how social media users reacted over the news:

We may make jokes and memes on IE and enjoy but it won’t be wrong to say that its shut down will certainly bring an end to an era.

Goodbye IE!!!!!

Virat Kohli Made A Post On Instagram As He Reached Dubai, Got Hilariously Trolled By Chahal

The cricketers are all set to play the IPL 2020 in UAE from September 19 till November 10 and the teams of the tournament have now started flying for Dubai. Yesterday, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) landed in Dubai and the skipper shared the update with his fans by making a post on his official Instagram handle.

In the post, Virat shared a photo of himself with caption, “Hello Dubai”.

Here is the post:

Hello Dubai 😁🕘👀

A post shared by Virat Kohli (@virat.kohli) on

Yuzvendra Chahal who is an integral part of RCB made up mind to have some fun with his skipper and he commented, “Hello from same hotel bhaiya #neighbours.”

As per the rules, the players will be quarantined in their hotel rooms for a week after landing in Dubai as part of the safety procedures. The skipper also responded shortly to Yuzi’s comment and hoped to meet him soon on the field. Virat’s reply read, “Haha soon on the field”.

The fans of RCB are very hopeful that their team will win the IPL this year. Virat Kohli has been a part of RCB since 2008 inaugural edition and from 2013, he has been leading the team but RCB hasn’t been able to win the IPL even once. What makes it more surprising is the fact that RCB has some big names of the cricket world such as AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, etc. but it didn’t manage to take trophy home in the last 12 seasons. Especially, the last three seasons of the IPL have been disastrous for RCB and Virat Kohli has been trolled many times in the past for this reason.

There is no denying the fact that Virat Kohli has to play an important role for RCB if he wants to make his team win the tournament. If we take a look at Kohli’s performance in the IPL, he has scored 5,412 runs till now which is the highest by any batsman and for this total, he has played 177 IPL matches, averaging at 37.84.

Which team do you think will win the IPL 2020?

Vin Diesel’s Ardent Fan Loses Rs 4.8 Lakh To The Conman Who Posed As Actor

The movie stars have a huge fan following and some of the fans are madly in love with their favourite actor or actress. But there are times when fans end up getting cheated by imposters who pretend to be stars themselves. If you remember a fan of actress Kajal Aggarwal paid Rs. 75 lakhs to a conman in the hope of meeting his favorite actress once and one person from Tamil Nadu portrayed himself as Armaan Malik on social media networks and coaxed many women for sending their n*de photos and money as well.

Vin Diesel is one of the most popular actors of Hollywood and he is best known for his role in the “Fast & Furious” series. He has a huge fan following among women and recently one of his female fans got cheated by a conman. As per the reports published in a leading daily, Katja Lorenza, a 43 years old German woman from Berlin, transferred around Rs. 4.8 lakhs in the account of the conman who was posing as Vin Diesel.

According to Katja, she works with actors and she had also met Vin Diesel once in the Berlin Film festival. She follows the official Instagram handle of Vin Diesel and was in a big surprise when she got a message from the actor but from a different Instagram handle. The conman convinced her that he was sending messages from a different account because if he used his official account, everyone in his management team would get to know about it. Katja believed him and started an online relationship with the imposter thinking that he was Vin Diesel.

After some time, the conman urged her to transfer a big amount in his bank account as he got robbed in South Africa and had no money to return to his home. She transferred the money but later on, the conman revealed to her that he is not Vin Diesel. The cheater told her that he is a 23 years old person who is pursuing medical studies and often cheats people for paying his fees and other expenses.

The police has started the investigation; hopefully Katja will get her money back and the conman will also be punished.

Twitter Has A Field Day As New Channel Calls Wrong Yuvraj Singh For Reaction On Dhoni’s Retirement

MS Dhoni, the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, gave the shock of lifetime to his fans when he made the announcement of his retirement on 14th of August through a post on his Instagram handle. He also posted a video containing a collection of photos from different occasions and what added to it all was the song which was being played in the background – “Mein pal do pal ka shayar hu”.

Soon social media networks were flooded with messages from all over the world. While there were many who were heartbroken as they wanted to see their favorite player playing for the country once again, a number of other people thanked him for the beautiful memories that he has given by playing for the country all these years.

Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the best skippers and finishers that India has ever produced; who can forget that he is the only skipper to win all the three ICC trophies – 2017 T20 ICC World Cup, 2011 ICC World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Mahi last played for India in the semi-final of the 2019 ICC World Cup which India lost to New Zealand. However, his fans were very hopeful of seeing him donning the blue jersey in the T20 ICC World Cup 2020 which has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

After Dhoni’s announcement of his retirement, everyone was talking about his illustrious career and the news channels also talked to some of the former cricketers who played with Dhoni at one point of time. However, one news channel made a big goof-up when they tried to talk to the former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh who has played a lot with Mahi.

The news anchor thought that the phone call has been connected with Yuvraj Singh, so he said, “Yuvraj Singh bhi humare saath hai. Bahut emotional karne wala pal hai. Duniya ke mahantam cricketers mein se ek jab cricket ko alvida kahte hai.” (Yuvraj Singh is also with us. This is a moment that makes us very emotional when one of the greatest cricketers of the world says goodbye to the game).

But in reality, the call was not connected with Yuvraj Singh and it was some random guy who didn’t even disclose that he is not Yuvi until he went live. In response to the news host, this guy said, “Mai toh Yuvraj Singh bol hi nahi raha hoon. Aap galat bande ko le aaye. Aapki TRP toh kharab nhi ho gayi.” (I am not Yuvraj Singh. You have called the wrong guy. Hope your TRP won’t get affected).

Twitter Hilariously Trolls Ricky Ponting For Preaching Ashwin On Mankading & Spirit Of Game

There have been many controversies associated with the Indian Premier League (IPL) and in almost every season, we get to see something controversial taking place. However, the former Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting who is now employed as the head coach of the IPL team Delhi Capitals (DC) has started a controversy even before beginning of the IPL 2020.

While giving an interview on The Grade Cricketer Podcast, the former skipper talked about the mankading carried out by Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the IPL 2019 and said that he will not let such things happen in Delhi Capitals. Ricky said that the first thing he will be doing is to talk to Ashwin about mankading, adding that Ashwin was not in DC last year and he is one of those players whom they have bought this time.

According to Ricky Ponting, the Indian spinner is a good bowler and what makes him stand apart from others is the fact that he has been performing great for a long period now. Ricky stated that last year when Ashwin mankaded Jos Buttler, he talked to the players of DC and made it clear to them that he may have done it and there may be many others who will like to do it but this is not the way DC players will be playing cricket.

The former Australian skipper said that it will be a hard conversation with Ashwin but Ponting is sure that Ashwin will take it in a good spirit. Ricky Ponting also said that most probably Ashwin would also have been thinking now that whatever he did was within the rules of cricket but was against the spirit of the game.

In the IPL 2019, Ashwin was captaining Kings XI Punjab and in one of the matches against Rajasthan Royals, he mankaded Jos Buttler. While he was slammed by many for his act, he was pretty adamant that what he did was within the rules of the game and he would be doing it once again if he gets a chance in the future.

Mankading takes place when the bowler removes the bails before throwing the ball if the batman on the non-striker end is out of the crease.

Ricky Ponting’s statement has not gone well with many cricket lovers as he was one of the fiercest competitors and there have been times when he committed acts which were against the spirit of the game, especially the one in which he tried to influence the on-field umpire for giving the batsman out. This is how Twitter reacted over it:

Shop Owner Says, “Rs 50K Cash Back If You Get COVID-19 Within 24 Hrs Of Shopping”, Inquiry Ordered

The coronavirus pandemic in India is still not under control as the number of COVID-19 positive patients is on the rise. Although the central government and the state governments are leaving no stone unturned in making attempts to control the situation, there are some people who are behaving very irresponsibly in this critical phase.

The number of coronavirus positive patients in the Indian state of Kerala is about to touch the 50K mark while the number of people who have lost their lives to the disease is 175. Despite the fact that the situation is so bad, an electronics shop owner has come up with a strange offer for its customers in order to increase the sales.

Representational Image

In the advertisement, the customers were offered cash back of Rs. 50K without GST on any purchase if they visit the shop and get COVID-19 infected within 24 hours. The advertisement was published not only in print media but in electronic and digital media as well and the offer was valid from Aug 15 till Aug 30. Soon after the ad was published, many people started visiting the shop without fearing that they can get infected.

A lawyer from Pala Municipality, Kottayam, saw the ad and decided to alert the state government. He wrote a letter to the Chief Minister Office and asked them to take an action against this illegal offer. He also wrote that such offer may prompt the COVID-19 positive patients to visit the shop which will further increase the number of patients in the state. After this, the state machinery and the police department swung into action, the shutters of the shop were brought down and an inquiry into the matter had also been ordered.

If we talk about the whole country, the number of coronavirus positive patients is 2.77 million while more than 52K lives have been lost. In such a situation, people should behave in a mature manner and help the government in curbing the pandemic rather than doing such deeds which can further make situation worse.
