Jos Buttler’s Hopeless Viral Photo Becomes A Meme On Twitter & These Tweets Will Make You ROFL

There is no denying the fact that real cricket is test cricket but it is also true that people nowadays like to watch ODIs and T20Is more because of which many cricketers focus on the shorter formats and are not able to make any impact in the longest format. Jos Buttler, the England cricketer, is also one of those players who have an excellent track record in the shorter formats but have not been able to prove their worth in the test matches.

How effective Jos Buttler in ODIs and T20Is is can be understood by the fact that his strike rate in ODI is 119.83 while it’s 139.68 in T20Is. However when it comes to test matches, his track record is a little disappointing. Jos has played 43 test matches till now in which he has scored only one century and 15 fifties and his average is 31.14. In the last seven test matches, the batsman has not been able to reach the 50-mark which speaks of the struggle that he is facing in the longest format.

In the ongoing test series between England and West Indies also, Jos Buttler hasn’t been able to leave any impact as in the first test match that was won by West Indies, he scored 35 and 9. In the second test match also which is being played at Old Trafford, Manchester, he got out at 40, though he looked in good touch.

Presently, a photo of Jos Buttler is going viral in which he is seen sitting in a hopeless mood. The netizens are having a great time making jokes on the pic and few of them also recalled the mankading incident which happened in the IPL  in which Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin mankaded Buttler.

“Big Argument With Men, They Brought Nails,” Paranormal Expert Claims He Spoke To Sushant’s Spirit

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput bid goodbye to the world on 14th June 2020 by hanging from the ceiling at his Bandra residence more than a month ago but his ardent fans are not able to believe that their favorite actor took his own life. These fans are constantly demanding a CBI inquiry in the case as they are pretty sure that Sushant’s life has been taken in a planned manner.

Some fans of the “Chhichhore” actor requested the paranormal expert Steve Huff to talk to the actor’s spirit and find out the truth about his departure. Though Steve Huff didn’t know much about Sushant Singh Rajput and his work, he decided to conduct sessions with Sushant’s spirit because he got many requests from his fans.

Steve has already posted two videos on his YouTube channel in which he is seen talking to Sushant’s spirit and whatever he has revealed till now has certainly made the actor’s fans more determined to raise voice for the CBI inquiry.

In the first video, when Steve asked about the manner in which he lost his life, the spirit replied, “they will leave all to the medics”. In the second session when the paranormal expert asked the spirit whether he wants to say something before the session is concluded, the spirit said, “want some love”. When Steve tried to ask the spirit about what happened in the night just before the unfortunate incident, the spirit said “big arguments with men”. When Steve tried to get a straight answer by asking the spirit whether he remembers how he lost his life, the spirit said, “they brought nails”.

After the huge response that Steve got on his first two videos, the paranormal expert conducted a third session with Sushant. In this, he once again asked how he lost his life and in response, the spirit said, “the neck”. After listening to the conversation, fans feel that there were 4 culprits and the spirit feels that they are very protected. The spirit also revealed that he is with his mother now and he has got wings.

While there are some people who are having doubts on what Steve Huff is claiming, few others are asking Steve to make the spirit talk clearly about the incident when he lost his life.

The Mumbai Police is carrying out its investigation and has recorded statements of many Bollywood celebs in regard to Sushant’s case. Some shocking revelations have been made by the doctors and psychiatrist who were treating Sushant Singh Rajput. It is being said by the doctors that he was suffering from bipolar disorder and he used to change his doctor after 2-3 visits as the patient of this disease finds it difficult to believe anyone.

The last doctor whom he was consulting was treating the actor for bipolar disorder but due to lockdown Sushant started consulting the doctor on phone rather than visiting. However, the doctor feels that Sushant stopped taking medicines 2-3 months ago. All the doctors were on the same platform in regard to Sushant Singh Rajput’s mental condition as they are of the opinion that he was much stressed but nobody knew the reason behind it.

What is your opinion in regard to paranormal expert Steve Huff’s claims?

Smart Ways To Invest In The Future

Thinking of the best way to save money for the future? This is a common question that crops up in the mind of every individual, irrespective of his/her financial position and professional profile. Now, the question is, how to invest for the future when there are so many options to choose from? This is where the problem of plenty arises. There are literally tons of savings and investment channels that you can consider for accumulating a future corpus for your retirement, meeting goals like children’s education/weddings, buying a house/car and so on.

While choosing any avenue for investment, you should always be clear about syncing your own risk profile with the risks associated with the investment in question. Some investments will automatically carry higher risks, particularly when it comes to investing money for beginners but they will have the possibilities of higher returns that beat inflation too. Some investments will have lower risk levels and hence lower returns as well.

Different ways to invest for the future

There are several investment options available for you to consider. Here’s taking a look at the same:

  • Equity (Direct) – Stock market investments are not for everyone as you well know. The volatility of the market and the risk attached to these investments often deters investors since returns are not guaranteed. It is also tough to choose a suitable stock along with timing the entry or exit. However, over longer durations, equity has offered returns which are higher than inflation in comparison to almost all other asset classes. Simultaneously, there is the risk of losing all your money or a sizable chunk of it, in case of losses. Diversification of stock market investments is recommended for cutting losses and spreading the risk.
  • Equity Mutual Funds– These are mutual funds which majorly purchase equity stocks in the market. Based on the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) regulations, these schemes should deploy a minimum of 65% of their assets into equity and equity linked market instruments. These funds may be either passively or actively managed. Equity schemes will be classified on the basis of factors like business sectors being invested in or the market capitalization.
  • Debt Mutual Funds– These funds offer steady returns with comparatively lower risk levels. However, the returns may be lower in comparison to equity funds as well. Yet, these funds are safer options and are preferred by investors since they invest in securities that generate fixed income, such as treasury bills, government securities, corporate bonds, commercial papers and so on. There are nominal credit and interest rate linked risks while investing.
  • NPS- The National Pension System is one of the most effective investment avenues for the long haul. This is a safe investment product where the minimum annual contribution threshold now stands at Rs. 1,000. This is a mixture of corporate bonds, equity, liquid funds, FDs (fixed deposits) and government funds among other types. You can choose on the basis of your risk appetite, as to the amount of money that will be invested in equities via NPS.
  • PPF- The Public Provident Fund is another safe and long-term investment option for investors. You have a lock-in period of 15 years although partial withdrawals are allowed at specific intervals. The compounding of your money reaps you rich returns while the principal and interest are backed by the Government guarantee. Interest rates are reviewed for PPF on a quarterly basis by the Government.
  • FDs- Fixed Deposits are arguably the most preferred investment avenues in the country and are safer than most investment channels. Under the DICGC (deposit insurance and credit guarantee corporation) regulations, every depositor will have insurance for his/her funds up to a maximum of Rs. 5 lakh. This rule has been made effective from the 4th of February, 2020. The rate of interest earned will be taxable since it will be added to your income.
  • SCSS- Senior Citizens’ Saving Scheme- Another great option for retirees, SCSS (Senior Citizens’ Saving Scheme) can be availed by investors who are above the age of 60 from their bank or post office. It has a 5-year duration which may be increased by another 3 years post maturity. The maximum limit for investment is Rs. 15 lakh and more than one account can be opened. Interest rates are payable on a quarterly basis and are taxable as well. Senior citizens are eligible for deductions up to Rs. 50,000 in a financial year under the Section 80TTB for the interest earned on SCSS.
  • Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana YojanaPMVVY scheme caters to senior citizens above the age of 60 and gives them assured annual returns. It ensures pension income which is payable on a quarterly, monthly, half-yearly or yearly basis as chosen. Minimum amounts hover at Rs. 1,000 every month with a maximum of Rs. 9,250 every month. Rs. 15 lakh is the maximum investment that can be made into this scheme which has a tenor of 10 years.
  • Real Estate– Real estate has always been a preferred asset class for investors owing to its ability to ensure superior returns over a period of time. Property values apart, the possibilities of earning rental income are also tremendous, if the location is good. This makes for a good investment by all means.
  • Gold- Another favorite investment option for Indian investors, gold has always held its own over the years. Gold has its own allure and may appreciate considerably in value with the passage of time. Many banking institutions sell gold coins while there are several gold investment schemes available as well, including owning gold via paper gold ownership. This is a more cost-effective means of investment via gold ETFs. These investments take place on stock exchanges like the National Stock Exchange (NSE) or Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with gold being the key underlying asset. Investments in sovereign gold bonds are another option for paper gold ownership.

Many of these investments are fixed-income generating assets while some are non-income generating but have the potential to earn superlative returns in the long run. What you should aim for is a balanced portfolio comprising of equity and debt mutual fund investments, PPF, NPS, bank FDs and of course, real estate or gold, depending upon your needs.

Tamil Nadu Police Uses MS Dhoni To Spread Awareness Amid Coronavirus & It’s Bang On

The coronavirus pandemic has made us adopt new style of living; for example, wearing masks has become a habit, maintaining social distancing is necessary now and so on. The virus has taken more than 600K lives all over the world while the total number of COVID-19 positive cases registered globally is around 14.5 million. What makes the virus more lethal is the fact that there is no vaccine available for it in the market and it is being said that it may take around a year for the vaccine to be available in the market.

The Indian government and many departments are leaving no stone unturned in imparting awareness about the virus and requesting people to follow the safety guidelines such as not going out until necessary, washing hands regularly, wearing mask, practice social distancing, etc.

The Tiruppur Police, Tamil Nadu, came up with a quite unique way of asking people to maintain social distancing as they got the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni involved in their campaign, though not literally.

The police department has made a tweet in which they have posted a photoshopped image of MS Dhoni who is seen chatting with another player while keeping distance and both of them are wearing masks. They used the initials of MSD for giving the message, i.e., “Maintain Social Distancing”.

Here is the tweet:

Well, that’s indeed a pretty creative way of spreading awareness and we can say that cricket lovers will surely follow it as MSD himself has been instructing them to do so, though indirectly!

This is how Twitter users reacted over the tweet:

Coronavirus Treatment: How Much Coverage is Enough?

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the number of growing cases, the treatment cost is the greatest concern among the common people. Even if you are not tested positive, the out-of-pocket expenses starting from the corona testing and all can burn a big hole into your pocket. A great relief that health insurance providers in India cover COVID-19. However, you should always keep a check on the list of inclusions provided by your insurer, when it comes to covering COVID-19, in order to keep your finances intact.

Coronavirus Treatment and Health Insurance Coverage

It is not certain that how much coverage is enough for treating COVID-19. While there is a cap on lab tests, the hospitalisation expenses can go beyond one’s expectations, depending on the condition of the patient. However, as per the recent claims filed, coronavirus treatment can cost between Rs 50,000 to 4 lakh.

Let us take an example to understand medical insurance for individuals. Mr. Sinha, a 53 years old resident of Delhi, was tested positive for COVID – 19 on 25th May 2020. On the morning of 26th May, he was admitted to a reputed hospital in Delhi for the treatment. He was discharged from the hospital on June 7th, 2020 after his successful treatment that went on for 13 days. The total bill of the hospital came around Rs 3.33 lakh.

Mr. Sinha was fully relaxed before paying the bill as he was insured with a medical insurance for individuals with the sum insured of Rs 10 Lakh. He was quite sure that the entire amount will be taken care of by his health insurance provider and he will not have to pay even a single penny for his treatment. This is because his health insurance was not having any clause of co-payment. However, at the time of claim settlement with the hospital’s TPA desk, he was shocked to listen that his insurance provider will pay only Rs 2.10 lakh of the total bill amount and rest he has to pay from his pocket. From the remaining Rs 1.23 lakh approximately 40% was billed under the column of ‘Medical Consumables’.

Like many of us, even Mr. Sinha was unaware of the fact that the health insurance plans do not cover the cost of medical consumables that are used for the treatment of disease or some condition in the hospital. Most of the time, these consumables are 10% of the total medical cost but in the case of a novel coronavirus, this cost has increased to approximately 40% of the total medical bill. This is because, in the treatment of COVID – 19 the list of non-payable items or medical consumables increases as it includes N-95 mask, PPE kits, shoe covers, and

Coronavirus and Rise in Hospitalisation Expenses

In case of hospitalization in this time of novel coronavirus pandemic, even those who are not tested positive has to pay thousands of rupees from their pocket as the insurance policies are not willing to pay for the cost of medical Personal Protective Equipment or PPE as they are considered as non-payable items. In this way, the COVID– 19 patients have to pay approximately half of their medical bills under these medical consumables, and non-COVID- 19 patients have to pay approximately one-fourth of their bills during their hospitalization. The reason for the same is the highly contagious nature of this coronavirus. Due to this, the hospitals have made it compulsory for all its staff to wear PPE kits, which indirectly adds to patients’ pockets.

Moreover, it is not only the cost of PPE kit, but other medical consumables are not calculated in the health insurance plans. Along with PPE kit, the use of other surgical accessories such as crape bandages, slippers, tissue paper, disposable gloves, foot covers, masks, syringes, etc has also added up to the cost.

The compulsory quarantine period of 14 days and mandatory social distancing also has reduced the number of patients in one ward. The wards which earlier have beds for 20 patients now consume 10 people for maintaining social distancing. This has also increased the cost of treatment. Therefore, to keep a check on your hospital bills, you should check with your insurance provider about the inclusions and exclusions in your medical insurance for individuals.

As per the guidelines of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, it is entirely the decision of the insurer to exclude or include medical consumables like PPE kits and accordingly charge a premium. It is observed that most of the medical insurance for individuals with even low premium cover the charges of some of the medical consumables and if the plan is priced well, then the insurer is covering almost all types of accommodation and a maximum number of consumables that are needed in the treatment during hospitalization.

Purchase Medical Insurance for Individuals Wisely

Buying insurance involves a considerable amount of research and making a careful decision. There is no point of buying a health cover that is insufficient in the time of needs. Here’s why you should always buy insurance only after comparing the policies. And here comes insurance brokers like policybazaar.com into the picture, which helps you compare various health insurance plans offering coronavirus insurance and pick the right deal.

With rising COVID-19 patients in India, the IRDAI has come up with a number of initiatives to address the situation. IRDAI has made it mandatory for all the insurance providers to offer coronavirus treatment cover in their health plans. Apart from that, the ArogyaSanjeevani policy was introduced to cover COVID-19 treatment costs up to a sum insured of Rs 5 lakh.

Digitalisation is a Boon!

There is no doubt that many business entities are seeking innovative approaches to thrive amidst coronavirus pandemic by adopting various technological transformations. Digitalisation in the insurance sector being the most effective way in terms of buying insurance this time. When maintaining a social distance is a must these days, the online business helps the insurers to keep their business going, on the other hand, offers required safety to the consumers.

Lastly, it is suggested to check with your policyholder before purchasing a policy whether it is covering the medical consumables or not. Presently, only very limited health insurance policies are covering the consumables used in the treatment of COVID – 19. And the online comparison is the best way to find out which policy is offering what.
