Former Team India Manager Lalchand Rajput Discloses How Dhoni Encouraged Players In T20 WC 2007

MS Dhoni will always be remembered as one of the most successful Indian captains and ranked among the best captains that the cricket world has even seen. He made his debut in the year 2004 and in less than 3 years, he was handed over the captaincy of the Indian squad which was passing through a critical phase after disappointing performance in the ODI World Cup 2007.

The T20 World Cup 2007 which took place in South Africa was the first tournament in which Dhoni led the team. He ensured that his team stayed positive and should trouble each opposition team. The manager of the team in the 2007 T20 World Cup was Lalchand Rajput and recently while talking to an online sports portal, he revealed some interesting things.

Rajput said that the environment in the dressing room should be good and the skipper should motivate the players as well as keep them positive, making sure that they don’t feel the burden of pressure. Rajput further revealed that Dhoni wanted his players to give tension to others and not take tension themselves. As per him, Dhoni was indifferent towards what other people say but his team should not care about it and instead focus on their own strengths.

The first match that India played was against Scotland, it got washed off while in the next match against Pakistan, India was able to win the match in the bowl-out. In the next three matches, India was defeated by the Kiwis while it came out as winner against South Africa and England. With the help of some great bowling performances, India defeated Australia in the semi-finals and then made history by winning the T20 World Cup 2007. After that, MSD was also handed over the captaincy of ODI and test teams and he proved his talent at every juncture.

Presently, Dhoni has been out of the Indian squad for quite some time now as he last played for the country in the semi-finals of the 2019 ODI World Cup which was won by New Zealand. Mahi was supposed to lead Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2020 but the tournament got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However as per the reports, BCCI is planning to organize the league in Sept-Oct later this year.

Rohit Sharma Looks Relaxed On Field & People Think He Is Not Working Hard, Says Irfan Pathan

Rohit Sharma is one of the finest batsmen of the present times and he has become an integral part of the Indian squad. He may not have been able to perform well in the test cricket but in the ODIs and T20Is, he has performed in an exemplary manner for the team.

However, Rohit has also faced ups and downs in his career and the first 5-6 years of his career were quite challenging. Hitman debuted in 2007 but he was not even able to secure his berth in the 2011 World Cup team. It was in 2012 that he came back strongly and things got brighter for him as he started opening for the team. But one thing that has been perceived in a wrong manner by many people including some cricketers is that he is always in a relaxed mood, even at that time also when he is hitting the bowlers for boundaries.

While speaking on a show, the former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan said that whenever people see that a guy who has ample time and is seen little more relaxed than Rohit Sharma, they misunderstood him, people think that this guy should work hard. Irfan further added that the same thing was thought for Wasim Jaffer, he used to bat and run in such a relaxed manner that people used to feel that he was not working hard but in reality he worked very hard.

Irfan said that the same thing is considered about Rohit as he is seen in a calm and relaxed manner while playing which is actually not true because Rohit works really hard. Irfan said that Rohit is mentally very strong and that can be understood by the fact that he was not selected for the 2011 World Cup team but he came back strong and Mumbai Indians has won four IPL titles under his captaincy which makes it the most successful IPL team.

Irfan also said that whenever he talked to Rohit, he always talked sensibly, kept the team first and talked about making more efforts.

Rohit Sharma was supposed to lead MI in the IPL 2020 as well but the tournament was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sehwag Praises 5-Yr Boy For Operating JCB So Well, Twitter Users Start Debate Over Viru’s Tweet

India has a huge population and there are many talented people in the country who don’t even get a proper chance to showcase their skills. However, social media networks have proved to be a boon for such people as they give a vital platform to those individuals to showcase their talent to a large mass as well as get appreciated and sometimes get really good opportunities too. If they are very lucky, a celebrity might also offer them help and a great chance.

How can we forget the manner in which the life of Ranu Mondal got transformed after her video in which she was singing a song at a railway station went viral? After that she not only appeared in TV shows but also got the chance of singing songs for Himesh Reshammiya’s movie. Recently, the lyricist Manoj Muntashir shared a video of a kid who dances amazingly. He also made a promise that if the kid is recognized, he would be happy to take the complete responsibility of his training.

Now, the former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and posted a video in which a 5 years old boy is seen operating a JCB machine in a professional manner. Though Sehwag praised the boy for his talent, he also added that he would not recommend this to someone such young to try.

Here’s what Sehwag tweeted,

“JCB ko khudaai karte dekh, aap bhi bahut ruke honge, bheed banayi.hogi.

But isse behtar kuch mahi dukha abhi tak.

Talent + self- belief.

If you think you can or you cannot, you are right.

Wouldn’t advise anyone to try this at a young age, but just can’t stop applauding.”

Till the article was written, the video received over 18K likes and was shared by more than 2.8K online users.

While some praised the boy for his courage and exceptional skills, few others expressed their concern over the fact that such a young boy has been handling a JCB without the supervision of an adult which is absolutely wrong and highly risky.

Here are some of the selected tweets:

This is how people expressed their displeasure over the tweet of Sehwag:

What is your take on this matter? Do let us know.

Virat Kohli Has A Hilarious Comment On Hardik Pandya’s Latest Instagram Post. Even Hardik Replied

The Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has been out of the Indian squad for quite some time now, earlier his injury kept him away from the cricket field and now when he was all set to show his skills in the IPL 2020, the coronavirus pandemic spoiled all the plans. Hardik who attracted huge controversy after appearing in Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan is now a family man and he and his partner Natasa Stankovic are expecting a baby.

Recently, Hardik Pandya shared a photo on his Instagram account in which he is seen playing carom with his brother Krunal Pandya, Shubham Agarwal and Parth Dave.

Here is the photo:

The caption that he wrote was, “Nothing like a great game of carrom with my brothers. Brings back a lot of memories #PandyaBrothers”.

Check out the Instagram post:

However, there was something which was noticed by the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and he didn’t fail to mention it in the comments. In the image, Hardik is seen ready to play his move but instead of focusing on the board, he is looking at his brother Krunal.

Virat wrote, “Waiting for your turn or trying to intimidate Krunal first? Haath board par aur aankh Krunal par (hands on board but eyes on Krunal)”.

Hardik Pandya also responded to Virat’s comment and wrote that he is trying to keep an eye on everyone so that no one cheats. His comment read, “hahaha bruh have to see no one cheats so keeping an eye”.

The Pandya brothers were all set to play for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 while Virat Kohli was supposed to lead the Royal Challengers Bangalore but the league got postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Though the government has permitted the opening of stadiums, the entry of spectators is banned so even if the IPL 2020 takes place this year, there is very high probability that the matches will take place without spectators.
