MS Dhoni, the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, is one of those players who are not much expressive but there have been few times when he got back at the other person in a kickass manner.
India won three ICC trophies under the leadership of Dhoni but he was not much successful in the test format, especially in the later part of his captaincy. The Indian cricket team tasted defeat in test series against Australia in 2011-12 & 2014-15 and also against England in 2011 and in 2014 as well. Indians weren’t successful against New Zealand (2014) and South Africa (2013-14) in the longest format of the game too.
In 2014 when the Indian cricket team was on the tour to England, the British media started questioning the technical ability of the Indian batsmen as they were not able to perform well in the test series. In the 5-match test series, the first test was drawn while India made history by winning the second test which was played at the Lord’s cricket ground but England defeated India in the next three test matches.
During a press conference after the final test match, a British journalist asked Dhoni whether the Indian batsman would like to give up playing in the Indian Premier League and choose to join the English County Cricket so that their technical capabilities can be enhanced.
In reply, Dhoni told the journalist to ask this question to the Board for Control of Cricket in India. Not just this, Mahi also asked him not to be jealous of the IPL at the same time.
As far as the remaining tour was concerned, the Indian squad won the ODI series by 3-1.
The English cricketers chose not to play in the IPL in the beginning as they were afraid that it would deter their game. However when Andrew Strauss became the chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board, he started encouraging the English cricketers to take part in the IPL as he believed that it would help the England cricketers in long run.
The IPL 2020 has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic and it is also not clear whether the tournament will take place this year or not.

There is no denying the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has created one of the most dangerous situations with which not just India but many parts of the world are dealing and trying to overcome it or at least normalize things to a certain extent. However when Indians are facing tough times with the lethal virus and making attempts to combat it, the problem of locusts that have destroyed the crops in various states of India has added to our misery.
As per the experts, this is the worst locust attack in the last 30 years and five states – Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have already suffered heavily. The central government has warned 12 other states because there are huge chances that these locusts can also enter the states which are on the border of these five states. They have hit Andhra Pradesh too and a good amount of crops of banana, rubber, etc. have been damaged by them in Tamil Nadu as well. It is also being said that locusts which come from Pakistan will be hitting Rajasthan few more times until July.
The relations between India and Pakistan are not on good terms for a long time now because India’s neighbor is not interested in stopping anti-India activities. On the other hand, India has taken a very tough stand against Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Many news channels like to present news in a dramatic manner and a video of Republic TV is going viral on the Internet in which the senior journalist Arnab Goswami can be heard alleging that these locusts have been sent by Pakistan as India has eliminated many of its sponsored anti-social elements.

After seeing this video, all hells broke loose as the Indian Twitterati was not able to digest that such a senior journalist is focusing on the locusts issue in such a negative style. MS Dhoni is certainly one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team and there was a time when it was felt that it won’t be easy for anyone else to replace him but in reality, it happened in a pretty smooth manner when Virat Kohli took over captaincy from Mahi.
Dhoni became the skipper of the Indian squad in 2007 and started his tenure as a captain with winning the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, the wicketkeeper-batsman led the team in a great manner in all the formats. It was the year 2015 when Dhoni took retirement from the test cricket in order to focus more on shorter formats of the game and Virat Kohli was appointed the skipper of the Indian test team. Next year, Virat took over as the ODI and T20 skipper as well.
Recently, during an Instagram live session with Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian skipper chose to talk about the process of becoming a leader and he said that Dhoni played an important role in making him the skipper of the team. As per Kohli, Dhoni must have observed him for 6-7 years and then he must have told the selectors that Virat Kohli can be made the skipper of the team. Virat also added that it was his habit of discussing strategies with Dhoni which made the latter confident of the fact that the former is capable of leading the team.
Virat said that he was always talking to Dhoni, asking him about the options which can be tried and he used to reject many but according to Virat, Dhoni used to discuss about a lot of things with him as well. The 31 years old RCB skipper feels that his habit of engaging in discussion and making different strategies made Dhoni believe that Virat can lead the team after him.
Virat was considered as a captaincy prospect from the very beginning as India U-19 won the World Cup under his captaincy.

2. Duvvada Jagannadham
This Allu Arjun starrer was also rejected by Shruti due to date problems and actress Pooja Hegde was then roped in for the female lead. Shruti and Allu Arjun have earlier worked together in “Race Gurram”.
3. Sangamithra
Shruti Haasan denied working in “Sangamithra” as she didn’t have the script of the film and she felt that giving almost 7 months to a movie which doesn’t have a final script is not a correct decision.
4. Oopiri
Shruti also refused to work in this 2016 released Nagarjuna starrer which was a remake of a French movie “The Intouchables” due to date problems. Later on, the makers casted actress Tamannaah Bhatia for the female lead.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced all of us to stay at home as the government imposed lockdown in the country in order to keep a check on the virus transmission. The government ordered to close down the schools, colleges, cinema halls, gyms and all other places where mass gathering was possible.
While there were some who had nothing to do at home, several people had the option of working from home. Video-conferencing, online meetings, online trainings, webinars, etc. have become a part of the lives of those who are working from home.
However, the chairman of the Mahindra group, Anand Mahindra, does not seem to be much happy with webinar and wants this word to be banished from the dictionary despite the fact that it is quite new. Anand Mahindra received an invitation to attend a free webinar and all hells broke loose for him as he felt that he may have a serious meltdown.
This is what Anand Mahindra tweeted, “If I get one more invitation to a ‘webinar’ I might have a serious meltdown. Is it possible to petition for banishing this word from the dictionary even though it was a relatively recent entrant??”

The social media accounts of celebrities getting hacked is nothing new, however it is something which should not happen at all and it creates a lot of trouble for not just celebs but their fans as well. Recently, the Instagram account of actress Pooja Hegde was hacked by someone and a derogatory meme for another actress Samantha Akkineni was posted. Pooja shared the information of her Instagram account getting hacked on Twitter and the good part was that her account was restored soon but it did create misunderstandings for some time.
The latest addition to this list is the former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis who got so frustrated after his Twitter account got hacked that he decided not to use social media platforms anymore. Someone not only hacked Waqar Younis’ Twitter account but also liked some obscene videos. After the account was restored, Waqar Younis posted a video in which he talked about the hacking of his account and expressed disappointment over the fact that it was not the first time that it happened and the hacking took place earlier as well.
Waqar said that he used to think social media networks are a great medium for interacting with fans and people of acquaintance but the hacker destroyed everything. He further said that the hacker is not going to stop as he has done it three-four times earlier too so the former cricketer has decided to quit the social media networks.
