The Indian government imposed lockdown in order to combat the coronavirus pandemic and despite the fact that the lockdown was done for the safety of citizens, it also resulted in problems for many persons. The people who suffered the most were from the poor sections of the society, especially the laborers who were working far from their home towns.

The governments may have been claiming to take proper care of these laborers but we have seen many of them walking on foot with their families trying to reach their home town. Indeed it is a heart-wrenching site to see people of our nation suffer in this manner and when Bollywood actor Sonu Sood was not able to bear it anymore, he decided to send these laborers home by providing them transportation.
Earlier, Sonu Sood came out to help the corona warriors as he allowed them to take rest in his hotel as the doctors and medical staff can’t go to their homes because there is risk of their family members getting infected.
The actor may have portrayed the roles of villain in the movies but by sending huge number of people to their homes, he has proved himself a real-life hero and we are sure that he will be worshipped by many of those whom he has helped.

People who were facing problems in returning to their homes were contacting Sonu Sood on the micro-blogging site Twitter and the “Dabangg” actor was replying them in positive manner. There are many creative meme makers on the virtual world and they tried to appreciate and pay respect to Sonu by making memes on him.
Sonu himself shared some memes including the one in which Alia Bhatt is seen crying; it is a scene from the movie “Raazi” while in another meme, Sonu is compared to Bajrangi Bhaijaan and called Sonu Bhaijaan.

The skipper of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen of the cricket world and many former cricketers and his fans believe that he is the greatest of all times (GOAT). However, he often gets slammed or criticised for his aggressive nature on the field but still he has pretty good relations with other cricketers.
Virat Kohli has become very active on social media during the lockdown and he is not only indulging in Instagram live chat sessions with other players but also making videos for spreading smiles on the faces of his fans. Remember the one in which he walked like a dinosaur which went viral for all the hilarious reasons and sparked a meme fest on the micro-blogging site Twitter?

Recently, Virat Kohli who is also the skipper of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a photo of himself with the New Zealand cricket team captain Kane Williamson.
Both the cricketers have good relations and they respect each other a lot. In the pic, they can be seen walking together as they were going for the toss.
The caption that Virat wrote was, “Love our chats. Good man”.

Here is Virat Kohli’s Instagram post:
The Kiwi skipper who has also become quite active on social media was quick to respond and he reciprocated the emotions along with an attempt to find who is taller between the two.
Kane Williamson wrote, “Same here bro, looking forward to the next one! … also trying to work out who is taller?”

On the New Zealand tour, the Indian team whitewashed the 5-match T20I series but lost the 3-match ODI series by 3-0 and 2 test matches by 2-0. At that time also, Kohli was slammed for his aggressive behaviour but few Kiwi players supported Virat, saying that he is just a passionate player and nothing should be blown out of proportion.
Looking forward to see these cricketers on the field soon! Till then, stay at home and maintain social distancing to stay safe!

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has been postponed indefinitely by the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) just like the other sporting events because of the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament was slated to start on March 29 but then it was postponed till April 15 as the Indian government imposed lockdown in the country.

However, the board decided to postpone the league for an indefinite period after the Indian government announced the extension of lockdown till May 1. In fact, the chances of the IPL 2020 taking place this year is quite low as the T20 ICC World Cup 2020 is also scheduled later this year.
However, there were reports that the T20 ICC World Cup can also be postponed and an official announcement can be made in this regard by the International Cricket Council (ICC) by the next week. It was also said that BCCI may try to organize the IPL in the month of October-November after the T20 ICC World Cup gets postponed. But now Arun Dhumal, the treasurer of BCCI, has made it clear that the board will think of organizing the IPL only if there is a slot available.
The statement by Arun Dhumal holds importance considering the fact that the Australian media is alleging that BCCI will try to pressurize ICC so that the T20 ICC World Cup is pushed further and it can get the slot for the IPL. However, Arun Dhumal has stated that BCCI is no mood to suggest the postponement of the T20 ICC World Cup; they will discuss everything in the meeting and the final call will be made by ICC.

In fact, Arun Dhumal has thrown the ball in Cricket Australia’s court stating that a lot depends on the board and government of Australia whether they are fine with so many teams coming and playing in their country and are ready to organize such a big tournament within the closed doors. The BCCI treasurer said that it is now upon Cricket Australia to take a call.
But there is no denying the fact that if the IPL doesn’t take place this year, the Indian board is going to suffer a loss of around Rs. 4,000 crore.
Do you want the IPL to take place?

MS Dhoni is one of the most successful captains of India and what makes him special is the fact that it was under his leadership that we won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 World Cup as well.
The Indian team was given no chance of winning the 2007 T20 World Cup in the beginning of the tournament as it had a miserable ODI World Cup just few months ago and this team had no senior players. It was also Dhoni’s first tournament as a captain and the India team had played only one T20I before the tournament.

However, team India performed superbly under Dhoni and went on to win the T20 World Cup after defeating Pakistan in the finals. The catch taken by Sreesanth of Misbah-ul-Haq in the finals will always remain fresh in the memories of cricket fans. Recently, the Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa talked about that catch and why he feels that it was destiny that made them won the match and the tournament. The cricket fans are still not able to understand that why Misbah played a scoop shot when his team needed only 6 runs from 4 balls to win the match.
While talking in BBC’s program Doosra Podcast, Robin Uthappa said that he started praying to God from the 15th over of the Pakistan’s innings. Even in the last over when the match was mostly in Pakistan’s favour, he kept on praying and hoping for his team to win. Robin said that when Joginder Sharma was given the ball to bowl the last over, he prayed that Jogi did not bowl a wide which he did. He further said that after that he hoped that Misbah didn’t hit a six which he did, he still felt that they could win.
Talking about the scoop shot, Robin said that when Misbah hit the scoop shot, he saw that the ball was not going far but very high and then Uthappa saw who the fielder at short fine-leg was. It was S Sreesanth and by then, he was popular in the team for dropping the simplest catches. As per Robin, as he saw Sreesanth running for the catch, he started praying to God that Sree didn’t miss that catch, adding that he felt destiny made them win the match because even when the ball was in Sreesanth’s hands, he was still looking in the air.

Robin Uthappa plays for Kerala in the domestic cricket and he is also a part of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals.

Manish Pandey, the Indian cricketer who mostly represents the country in the shorter formats, revealed a very interesting incident of his life while speaking in a chat show.
Manish who is basically from Uttarakhand belongs to an Army family and because of his father’s job, he had to shift from one city to another. He said that he loved shifting to new places as it gave him the chance to know about different cultures, meet new people and make friends but it also resulted in him experiencing a DDLJ moment which didn’t have a happy ending.

He talked about an instance when his family was shifting to a different city and some Army families came to see off them at the railway station. Along with other families, the family of his crush was also present there and she was standing with her father who told her to keep on standing there as she was too young.
Manish said that it was completely a DDLJ moment but instead of father telling his daughter to go and live and her life (Jaa Simran jaa, ji le apni zindagi), father told her daughter to stay back.

Manish Pandey made his debut in International cricket in the year 2015; he plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League and Karnataka in the domestic cricket. He started his IPL career with Royal Challengers Bangalore and he is the first Indian batsman to hit a ton in the IPL which he scored in the IPL 2009. However, the IPL 2020 has been called-off due to the coronavirus pandemic and nothing can be said on the matter of it taking place this year.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma make one of the most adorable couples of India and they are trying their best to spread smiles on the faces of people in the times of crisis with their stints on social media. Recently, Anushka Sharma shared a cute video of Virat Kohli in which he is seen walking like a wild creature and he also grunts in a loud manner while looking towards Anushka.

In the caption, the “Zero” actress wrote that she saw a dinosaur on the loose and as soon as the video was posted, not just the fans but many celebs also started reacting in comments. While some had a good laugh, few others found Virat very cute as a dinosaur.
Here’s the video if you have not watched it so far:
Actor Karan Wahi found the video quite humorous and posted laughing emojis in the comment section on Anushka’s post.

Virat Kohli also reacted to the laughing emojis of Karan and wrote, “@karanwahi tujhe badi hassi aa rahi hai saale”. This loosely translates to “You are laughing too much”.

This viral video of Virat Kohli also gave ample fodder to meme makers too and they flooded the micro-blogging site Twitter with their super creative and rib-tickling memes.
Karan Wahi and Virat are said to be good friends as Karan also dreamed of becoming a cricketer and he has played for Delhi U-19 along with Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. However, Karan left cricket after he got injured and then he moved his focus towards showbiz.

Cricketers are finding new ways to pass their time as some are busy in chatting on Instagram live, several others are interacting with fans and sharing updates of their personal lives with them while there are few who are making videos and posting them on video platform TikTok, such as Yuzvendra Chahal and David Warner.
Virat Kohli was supposed to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2020 but the tournament has been postponed indefinitely due to the lethal coronavirus pandemic which has taken more than 3 lakh lives worldwide.
We also request our readers to follow all the precautions because the government may have given some relaxations but coronavirus is still outside.

The COVID-19 pandemic is still not under control despite the fact that the fight against the lethal virus started more than 2 months ago and we are still not clear as to how we will live our lives in future. There is no denying the fact that coronavirus has changed our lives to a great extent as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing will become a habit now and we will also avoid going to places which are crowded.

The sports world has also suffered badly due to the COVID-19 outbreak as all the sporting events have either been postponed or cancelled. One of the biggest sporting events of the world, the Indian Premier League 2020 has also been postponed indefinitely on account of the same and the chances of it being held this year were also pretty less considering the fact that the T20 World Cup is also scheduled later this year in Australia.
However as per the reports, the International Cricket Council (ICC) may announce the postponement of the T20 World Cup 2020 by the next week. Presently, the biggest concern of ICC and Cricket Australia (CA) is to find a new window for the T20 World Cup 2020. According to a report published in a leading daily, the CA may host the tournament in February/March next year and it will be a problem for BCCI and the English Cricket Board as England is scheduled to visit India around that time. It will again be a problem for BCCI as the fourteenth edition of the IPL will also start in April.

Things may get sorted in a little better way if BCCI allows Australia to organise the T20 World Cup 2021 and chooses to organise the T20 World Cup 2022. However if the T20 World Cup 2020 is postponed, it will leave a window for the IPL to take place but all will depend on the situation of COVID-19 and the big question at the moment is whether the government will allow the foreign players to visit India for the tournament.
Hopefully, things will improve soon! Till then, follow all the precautions given by the government and the medical experts, practice social distancing and stay at home to stay safe!
