Irrfan Khan’s Departure Left Global Cinema In Tears; This Is How International Celebs Reacted
The international star Irrfan Khan had a great fan following in many countries of the world other than India. He has worked in some Hollywood movies also and received immense appreciation by audiences, his co-stars and other celebs as well for his impeccable acting talent.
The “Maqbool” actor took his last breath on 29th April 2020 after succumbing to a prolonged illness. Irrfan’s last movie was “Angrezi Medium” that could not make it to the theatres as the cinema halls have been shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic and eventually, it has been released on Disney Hotstar.
After the sudden departure of Irrfan, the whole nation including celebrities from the politics and sports world, television and movie industry, fans and general public mourned the unfortunate happening A very famous writer Paulo Coehlo also paid tribute to the awesome Indian actor and for this purpose, the author used a quote from the Hindu religious book, Bhagvad Gita. Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie who worked with Irrfan Khan in the movie “A Mighty Heart” (2007) which was based on the story of Daniel Pearl, a journalist who lost his life in Pakistan in 2002, also expressed her sorrow on the unfortunate event. She praised Irrfan for the intensity of his commitment as well as for his smile.
Riz Ahmed, the “Venom” actor, also paid tribute to Irrfan Khan despite the fact that he never met the actor; nevertheless, he was an inspiration for him as he tweeted, “Rest in peace one of the greatest actors of our time, Irrfan Khan. I never met him but he was an inspiration and a hero to me and millions of others. His work was consistently transcendent, he was a guiding light for so many of us.”

“The Office” star Mindy Kaling was also heartbroken after hearing this news and she wrote on Instagram that Irrfan had once told her they would collaborate on something and she called it an honour for herself.
Colin Trevorrow, the director of “Jurassic Park” also remembered the “Haasil” actor and called him a thoughtful person. His tweet read, “Deeply sad to have lost #IrrfanKhan. A thoughtful man who found beauty in the world around him, even in pain. In our last correspondence, he asked me to remember ‘the wonderful aspects of our existence’ in the darkest of days. Here he is, laughing.”
