The Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has become one of the favourites of the trollers after the mankading saga which took place in the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2019. Since then, he has been trolled many times in regard to mankading but every time, he has dealt with the trollers in a strong manner.

Recently, a fan tagged Ashwin in a tweet in which the former Australian pacer Glenn McGrath’s reply to a question related to mankading was posted. Glenn was asked whether he would mankad a batsman in the World Cup final even if the opposition needs just 2 runs and the last wicket is on the crease. The Australian great replied in negative and the Indian spinner replied the hater in a classy style by saying that Glenn McGrath is a great bowler and he respects him a lot but his answer to the question may not be the only right answer.

In IPL 2019, R Ashwin was the skipper of KXIP and in the match against RR when he was bowling, he saw that Jos Buttler who was at the non-striker end was out of the crease even before the ball was thrown. Ashwin quickly removed the bails and appealed for the wicket which was accepted by the umpire.

The RR batsman was left shocked and this incident divided the cricket fans as some believe that Ashwin did the correct thing while several others were of the opinion that Ashwin disrespected the spirit of the game. Ashwin has always stood his ground on this issue despite being slammed by some of his counterparts and former cricketers. He opines that whatever he did was as per the laws so there is nothing wrong in it and he will do it again if he gets the chance.

He says that his career came to halt but it is also true that he may never have been so popular and people wouldn’t have respected him so much if he had not worked as Lord Ram in Ramayan.

He also talks about some old incidents related to Ramayan as he was not selected for the role of Lord Ram in the beginning but later on, he was given the role. He also reveals that the actor who was playing the role of Lakshman left after shooting four episodes and it was then that the actor Sunil Lahiri got the role; nevertheless, Sunil was earlier playing the show of Shatrughan in the show. He also discloses that the musician Ravindra Jain joined the team after the unfortunate demise of Jaydev ji who composed the title song of the show.

In an interview with a leading daily, Salman Khan talked about how he is spending his lockdown and how life is going on in the Panvel farmhouse. The “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” actor says that his mind has been working constantly and he knows very clearly what all he has to do once the lockdown is over.

Salman Khan also states that the Panvel farmhouse is just like the house of controversial reality show Bigg Boss which is being hosted by him. But at the same time, he also adds that it feels beautiful over there as nobody is getting evicted from here.

What’s more, Salman Khan has also revealed that he is painting quite a lot at the farmhouse. He will also launch his YouTube channel “Being Salman Khan” with the song Pyaar Karona. Some time ago, he shared the teaser of the song which he has not only sung but composed as well.

Separation and hook-ups are pretty common in Bollywood and that’s why, we got a rude shock with the news of parting of actors like Om Puri who divorced his wife after spending 26 years together. The divorce of celebrity couples Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora after 18 years of marriage and Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan also made headlines considering the fact that they also spent a long time together. One such celebrity divorce which surprised and saddened fans was the separation of the Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan with Amrita Singh.

He also expressed his sense of displeasure over the fact that his children were being brought up by the relatives and maids of Amrita as she was busy with a TV show. He also got annoyed on Amrita going out to work, leaving the kids, when he was willing to extend full support to the family.

The lockdown may have forced the cricketers to sit inside their houses but it has also given them a chance to revisit the past and narrate some old incidents for the cricket lovers.

Recently, the former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh went live on Instagram with a leading magazine portal and he claimed that Suresh Raina was the favourite cricketer of MS Dhoni when the latter was the skipper of the Indian cricket team.

Suresh Raina is out of the Indian squad for quite a long time now. He made a comeback in the year 2018 when he was selected for the England tour but he was not able to perform well in both ODIs and T20s and as a result, he was dropped from the team.

Remembering the old days, Yuvraj Singh talked about the time when Dhoni had to choose two players out of three – Yuvraj, Raina and Yusuf Pathan for the India squad which was going to play the 2011 World Cup. Yuvraj said that in the end, all three of them made it to the team despite the fact that Yusuf was dropped midway in the tournament.

Yuvi further disclosed that he and Yusuf were in good form at that time but Suresh Raina was out of form. He also said that the Indian team needed a left-arm spinner and the selectors were left with no other option than selecting him as he was taking wickets at that time.

Yuvraj Singh went on to say that Suresh Raina played only four matches while he played the knockout matches also along with the final in which he played an important knock. As per him, every captain has a favourite player, adding that Suresh Raina was Dhoni’s favourite player and Mahi supported Raina a lot.

Yuvraj was full of praises for the former Indian skipper and the current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly. He also revealed that Ganguly is his favourite captain as he supported him the most.
