The Indian cricket fans were all praise for their women cricket team which may have lost to the Aussies in the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 but they still made every Indian proud. Team India didn’t lose a single match till the finals so it was the favourite team to win the trophy but Australians were better prepared this time and defeated the Indian team by a huge difference of 85 runs.
Some haters used this as a chance to make fun of team India just like this Pakistani Twitter user who made an attempt to mock Indians in response to a tweet which was made by the former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra.
Aakash Chopra is one of the famous Indian commentators of the present times and he wrote, “India lost only one game in the tournament. So did Australia. Both teams lost to each other. India beat Aus in the tournament opener. Australia beat India in the finals. Such is life…. #WT20WC #AusvInd”.
To this, a Pak user tweeted, “Same as is champions trophy”.
Aakash Chopra was in no mood to remain silent and he gave a perfect answer to the Pakistani user. He asked the user about the number of times the Pakistani team (men and women both) have played knockouts since the Champions Trophy final. He also told him that people living in glass houses should not change clothes with lights on.
Aakash Chopra’s tweet read, “How many knockouts did your team play since that final? Men and Women included. Jinke ghar sheeshe ke hote hain voh light jala ke kapde nahin badalte, dost ”
In 2017, in Champions Trophy, the Pakistani men’s team got defeated by the Indian men’s team by 124 runs but in the finals when the two teams clashed again, team Pak defeated the Indian team by 180 runs to lift the trophy. The user was referring to the same series of the event while taking a dig at the Indian women’s team as Women in Blue defeated Australia in the league matches but lost to them in the finals.
However if we talk about the Pakistani women team, they have registered only one win in the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 while in 2018 T20 World Cup which was played in West Indies, their performance was quite poor as well.
What a mouth-shutting reply! Well done, Aakash Chopra!

The Women in Blue were favourites for winning the T20 World Cup trophy as they were unbeaten throughout the tournament but things turned out completely different. The Indian team had defeated the Australians in the league stage but in the finals, the latter outclassed the former in every sector, whether it is batting, bowling or fielding.
There is no denying the fact that after playing so well and coming so close to the title, losing it must have hurt the Indian women cricketers pretty badly and their heartbreak was quite visible on their faces as they were crying profusely after the match.
The match was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the hosts of the tournament scored 184 batting first but the Indian team was able to score only 99 runs in the 20 overs and was defeated by 85 runs. While the social media platforms were full of messages showering love on the Indian team, the legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also took to Twitter and posted a message for both the Australian and Indian teams.
While the Little Master congratulated the Australian team on their win, he asked team India not to lose hope and just keep on working hard. He said that the Indian team has inspired many all around the globe and this young team will soon transform into a solid unit. The most important thing he said is that they will definitely win the World Cup one day.
Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet read, “Congratulations to Australia for winning the @T20WorldCup. It was a tough day for #TeamIndia. Our team is young and will grow into a solid unit. You have inspired many across the globe. We are proud of you. Keep working hard and never lose hope. It will happen one day.#INDvsAUS”
Sachin Tendulkar played 5 World Cup tournaments before he got the chance to take the World Cup trophy in his hands in the sixth World Cup tournament that he played.
We will always be proud of our Indian women cricket team and hopefully next time they will emerge to be the winner!

Corona virus has certainly become the biggest concern in the whole world as more than 95K people have been infected and around 3200 have lost their lives. Corona virus has also resulted in the cancellation of many events which also included the sporting events where people gather in huge numbers. The medical experts are repeatedly asking people to avoid going to places that are crowded as it will increase chances of them getting infecting with corona virus. The cases of corona virus are reported in India as well and till now 42 cases have been confirmed.
Now the big question is whether organising IPL in such a situation is correct or not because the corona virus scare may affect the number of audiences in stadium as well and there will always be a chance of players getting affected.
However, former England cricketer Kevin Pieterson has a different viewpoint on this matter. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and referred to the cancellation of sporting events as pathetic.
Kevin Pieterson wrote,
“STOPPING sporting events because of this virus would be PATHETIC!
Playing a few games without spectators is what should happen, if anything at all!
Imagine how much more hysteria there’ll be, if major sports are cancelled…!
Just RIDICULOUS!”
While this was Kevin’s personal opinion, there was an online user who made a taunt on the English cricketer by saying that he must be worried about his IPL commentary contract. Here is what the Twitterati said, “Might affect your IPL commentary contract I guess? ”
Kevin Pieterson was also not in the mood to bear the brunt of trolling and he replied with the best possible answer as he tweeted, “I think I’m financially ok mate! So take your smart arse comments elsewhere.”
Before IPL, South Africa will be visiting India for a 3-match ODI series starting March 12. Moreover, the IPL governing council is in touch with the Sports and the Health Ministry and keeping an eye on the whole situation.
Should IPL be cancelled or not? What is your opinion in this connection?

There are many topics which are being debated in Bollywood and pay inequality between male and female actors is one of them. The debate on this topic has been going on for a quite long time now and many B-Town actresses have raised their voices against it.
Recently, while giving an interview to an entertainment portal, the beautiful and talented Kareena Kapoor Khan also talked on this issue and said that she demanded a particular amount which she didn’t consider wrong at all.
As per her, the female actresses also devote equal time and effort just like their male counterparts so they are eligible to demand a certain amount which seem right to them. The “Good Newwz” actress said that when she talked about it, no one paid attention and she was also replaced but nobody got to know about it.
Kareena Kapoor says that a lot has been spoken on this matter and a lot will be said in future as well but things are definitely changing. The “Jab We Met” star further adds that she has been a confident girl from the very beginning and has always asked everyone to be confident.
She also talks about the struggles that she has faced in the industry. Kareena says that her parents have supported her a lot and some people always see her as Lolo’s sister with which she has no problem. According to her, as she is connected with the Kapoor family, people already have an image about her and breaking that image was not easy. She further says that she also had faced struggles in her career but people give no importance to them as they think that star kids don’t have to face any struggles.
What is your take on the pay disparity issue? Is it prevalent in each sector or just in Bollywood? Let us know your opinion in this connection.

The Australian women cricket team won the T20 World Cup for the fifth time yesterday and Alyssa Healy played an important role in this victory along with her opening partner Beth Mooney. The T20 World Cup final was played between India and Australia and the latter gave a huge target of 185 runs to the former. Alyssa played a blistering knock of 75 which included 7 fours and 5 sixes; her half-century came up in just 30 balls which made it the second fastest of the Women T20 World Cup tournaments.
While Alyssa was leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that her team wins the match, there was someone who made the day special for her by cheering for her. We are talking about Alyssa’s husband Mitchell Starc who is a cricketer himself and is a member of the Australian cricket team at the moment.
The men’s Australian cricket team is on a tour to South Africa at the moment and Mitchell was also a part of it but the speedster took permission from the management and left the tour mid-way so that he could encourage his wife in the most important match of the tournament. Mitchell’s 10,000 km journey proved to be worth as his wife played a match-winning innings and also won the Player of the Match award. Mitchell cheered for his wife from the VIP box of Melbourne Cricket Ground which had around 85,000 people witnessing the finale.
The Indian tennis player Sania Mirza called the couple adorable but she also said that if any cricketer from the Indian sub-continent had done that, he would have been named as slave of his wife (Joru Ka Ghulaam).
Sania, who is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote,
“Sure thing !! God forbid it would be a guy from the subcontinent, the guy would be called a ‘joru ka ghulaam’ in one second good on you Mitchell couple goals for sure!! #beentheredonethat ,”
Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Healy certainly give couple goals! What do you say?

The dreams of Indian cricket lovers got shattered on the International Women’s Day as the Indian women cricket team lost the final match of ICC T20 World Cup 2020 against Australia. The Women in Blue remained unbeaten throughout the tournament but were not able to defeat the Australians whom they defeated in the league matches.
Meg Lanning led team Australia gave a huge target of 185 to the Indian team which had a pretty bad start as they lost their four top batswomen – Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and captain Harmanpreet Kaur at the meager total score of 30.
Earlier batting first, the Australian openers batted brilliantly as Beth Mooney scored 78 and Alyssa Healy scored 75 which laid the foundation of Australia’s huge total of 184. There was no doubt that Aussies outclassed Indians not just in batting but in bowling and fielding as well and they seemed to be better prepared than their opponents in the match which was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of 85,000 people.
The Indian team managed only 99 runs in the stipulated 20 overs and Australia won the T20 World Cup title for the 5th time. It was a very disheartening moment for the Women in Blue and in the past three years, it was the second time when they lost the finals in an ICC event. The Indian women cricketers were not able to control their tears after the match and their fans tried to make them feel better by sending heartwarming tweets.
However, one tweet which caught everybody’s attention was sent by the West Indian legend Sir Vivian Richards and he told the Indian team that they played amazingly, adding that one day, they will definitely win and they need to keep on believing in themselves.
Here is the tweet, “Never be let down. You have been amazing throughout and you shall have the trophy at your hand one day. Keep believing! @BCCIWomen”
Well, that is a great piece of advice from a legend and we will always be proud of Women In Blue!
