The advent of online video streaming services or the OTT (over-the-top) platforms has definitely given more variety to TV audiences, especially those who were tired of watching the same boring saas-bahu dramas on Indian television channels.

Jamtara – Sabka Number Aayega on Netflix:

Netflix is one of the biggest OTT platforms and since its launch in India, it has given some really good sitcoms, the latest one being Jamtara – Sabka Number Aayega. The story of the web series revolves around the phishing frauds and the scammers who carry out these frauds using their phones. Jamtara is a small town in Jharkhand which is famous for cyber financial crimes and it forms the base of the web series. The director of the series is Soumendra Padhi whose directed movie Budhia Singh Born to Run was loved by the audiences and critics a lot.

Opportunities for youngsters or aspiring actors:

These OTT platforms have also increased opportunities for many aspiring actors, particularly those who have no filmy background and are from small towns. We are going to talk about one such actor Aasif Khan who belongs to a place about which you may have not heard in your life but you must have watched him on the screen of your laptop or smartphone and must have loved his acting.

Aasif Khan – The Rising Star:

Aasif Khan has played an important character in the web series Jamtara – Sabka Number Aayega. You must have seen him earlier in the web series Mirzapur but do you know how much he has struggled in order to fulfill his dream of acting?

Aasif Khan is from a very small town in Rajasthan called Nimbahera where even new movies take 6-8 months to hit the theatres after getting released. Surprisingly, there is only a weekly newspaper available to the residents of the town so it is quite obvious that not many people have made it to the big platform. However Aasif had dream in his eyes so he came to Mumbai in the year 2011 but the first problem that he faced was of accommodation as due to some reasons, he couldn’t stay at the place where he planned earlier.

Tale of struggles:

He started working in a hotel as a waiter to meet his expenses and also tried to meet the people in the industry for work but was rejected from everywhere. These rejections made him understand that he needed to prepare himself for acting by working in theatre. He took a wise decision of going to Jaipur where he worked in theatre for nearly five years and learnt a lot about acting.

Working in a casting firm:

In 2016, he came back to Mumbai to play his second innings and this time, he was well prepared. However, finding acting work was not easy and he started working in a casting firm.

The big day

As it is being said that talent definitely gets noticed one day, he was also noticed by a director and he got casted in Arjun Kapoor starrer India’s Most Wanted. Since then, Aasif Khan has not looked back; he has impressed audiences with his acting in Mirzapur and people are also loving his work in Jamtara – Sabka Number Aayega.

KL Rahul To Be India’s Wicketkeeper On NZ Tour. Fans Tell Rishabh Pant, ‘Career Sankat Mein Hai’

The Indian cricket team performed pretty well against the Australian team as the former won the recently concluded three match ODI series by 2-1 even after getting a crushing defeat in the series opener. Presently, the Indian team is in New Zealand where it will play its first T20 match on January 24 (today).

MS Dhoni has not been a part of the squad for a long time and his last match was the semi-final of World Cup 2019 which India lost to New Zealand. Since then, the young wicket-keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been given many chances to prove his worth but despite getting a number of opportunities, he has failed to make any impression. He has not only failed as a batsman but also as a wicketkeeper and now he has become a favourite target of the online trollers.

Still BCCI is not in the mood to give enough chances to Sanju Samson, another Indian wicketkeeper, to prove his mettle as some officials have a belief that Rishabh Pant is a special player. However, now it seems that team India and its skipper Virat Kohli has found a solution to the problem.

KL Rahul, the Indian cricketer, is in a superb form as he averaged 45.50 (T20s) and 47.86 (ODIs) in the last year and performed great in the recently concluded India-Australia series as well. What makes him more important for the team is the fact that he is ready to bat at any spot as per the requirement of the team, whether it is the fifth spot, third one or even opening.

After Rishabh Pant suffered concussion, it was KL Rahul who kept the wickets for India and he performed quite well in that role too. Presently, he is being considered for keeping the wickets in the New Zealand tour as it will provide an option to the team to include one more specialised batsman.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has already made it clear that KL Rahul will be keeping the wickets in the series opener, adding that it will give more balance to the team as one more batsman can be included in the team.

However, this can be an alarm bell for Rishabh Pant who has enjoyed being in the team for quite a long time despite forgettable performances both with bat and wicket-keeping gloves.

When Ganguly was asked to rate his tenure, he says that it is almost impossible to give marks like this but he will make sure to work in a good manner. On the question of four nation tournament, he says that once the revenue model is prepared, the talks with the other cricket boards will also start.

Steve Smith Reacts On Virat Kohli’s Gesture Of Stopping Fans From Booing The Former In WC2019

The Indian cricket team has been performing quite well under the captaincy of Virat Kohli and he is also in a great form. Recently, the Australian cricket team toured India and lost the three match ODI series by 2-1 to the hosts. Meanwhile, the Indian skipper won the ICC’s Spirit of Cricket Award for the nice gesture that he showed towards the Australian player Steve Smith in the World Cup 2019.

Australian cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner were banned from International cricket for a period of one year after they were found guilty of ball tampering in the Cape Town test (2018). They both made a comeback in the World Cup 2019 but the cricket fans always made a point by reminding them of the mistakes they made in the past.

The same situation was created in the India vs. Australia match in the World Cup 2019 when the Indian fans started booing Steve Smith. However that time, Virat asked the crowd to stop booing Steve which was seen as a nice gesture by everyone and it also made Virat won the Spirit of Cricket award.

When the Indian skipper was asked about it, he said that he did it because taking advantage of someone who has come from a tough phase is completely incorrect.

Now, Steve Smith has also decided to speak about it, he said that it was really nice of Virat Kohli to do that despite the fact that he didn’t need to do it. Steve adds that what he did was a lovely gesture and he really appreciates it.

Anil Kumble Is Overwhelmed As PM Modi Gave His Broken Jaw Example For Encouraging Students

Examination time is definitely one of the toughest times of a student’s life and it becomes more important as well as serious if the student is appearing for the board examinations. However, it is also imperative to understand for the students and their parents that these examinations are not the last chance for them to prove themselves. Even if they fail or can’t score good marks, life will not come to an end; they will surely get more chances to achieve success in life. Nevertheless, a student should also ensure that he doesn’t repeat the same mistake.

Undoubtedly, life will give you the second chance but how you will perform in that second chance will depend a lot on the manner in which you take your failure in the first chance. You may sit, analyse, point out you mistakes, find their solution and start preparing again for achieving success in the second chance or you can just blame your fate or people around you for your failure.

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi clearly understands the importance of exams for a student and he doesn’t want the future of his country to get depressed or frustrated after getting a temporary setback.

PM Modi was back with his interactive program “Pariksha Pe Charcha” third time which was held at Talkatora stadium. PM Modi used some really good examples while trying to make the students understand that they should remain strong in the time of adversity and face problems bravely.

One example that he used was from the test match between India and Australia in which Rahul Dravid (180) and VVS Laxman (281) batted brilliantly and brought their team out of difficult position by scoring a 376 run partnership. The test was played in 2001 at Eden Gardens and Australia was in a really good position to win the match but ultimately it was India that emerged to be the winner and that too by 171 runs.

Another example that was used by PM Modi was of former Indian skipper and spinner Anil Kumble who came out to bowl with a broken jaw in the Port of Spain test in 2002 in order to take the wicker of Brian Lara.

PM Modi tried to make the students understand the importance of positive thinking, resilience, character and motivation through these examples. The former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble considered it as an honour that PM Modi chose to give his example.
