IPL 2020 Auction List Out. Pat Cummins Bought For The Highest Rs 15.50 Crore By KKR

Today is an important day for the cricketers as auction of the Indian Premier League 2020 is being held in Kolkata. Each IPL franchise wants to buy the players that are the most suited for them and that help in making their team stronger than the others.

Surprisingly some big names of the cricket world remained unsold today – Tim Southee, Carlos Brathwaite, Evin Lewis, Martin Guptill, Dale Steyn and some others.

Two teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have bought eight foreign players which mean that they won’t be able to bid for any foreign player now as their quote is full. Moreover, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will be able to purchase only one foreign player each as all three of them have seven foreign players each.

On the other hand, the remaining three teams have left their options pretty open as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be able to buy 2, 3 and 4 foreign players, respectively.

If we talk about the players for whom the franchise spent a fortune, Pat Cummins is the name to talk about. The Australian cricketer has been bought by KKR for Rs 15.50 crore which is a record as it is the highest amount paid to a foreign player in the history of IPL.

Rohit Sharma Shares Pic With Ravindra Jadeja On Instagram, Gets Trolled By Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian cricketer, is not just known for his cricketing skills but also for his good sense of humour which is quite visible on social media networks as he didn’t miss a chance to troll his friends.

Recently, Yuvi trolled Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma who is just like a younger brother to him. Rohit had posted a photo of himself with his teammate Ravindra Jadeja and wrote the caption, “Two El Clasico players on their way to Cuttack, well IPL’s version of El Clasico 😏 On the sidelines, will keep an eye on the auction as well @royalnavghan”

Rohit played an important role in India’s win in the second ODI which was played at Vizag, he scored 159 runs and put up a partnership of 227 runs for the first wicket with his opening partner KL Rahul. The Indian team gave a huge target of 388 runs to the West Indian team but the visitors were able to manage only 280 runs and lost the match by 107 runs.

Now the third ODI will be played in Cuttack on December 22 and it will decide the winner of the series as both the teams have won one match each in the series.

KL Rahul’s Mysterious Celebration Style After His Century Is Now A Meme

The Indian cricket team crushed the West Indian team in the second ODI of the series which was played in Vishakapatnam and won the match by 107 runs. There is no denying the fact that the foundation of India’s win was kept by the Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul.

The West Indian skipper Kieron Pollard invited India to bat first after he won the toss, in a hope to restrict India to a small total but the Indian openers had different plans. The in-form Rohit Sharma was quite merciless as he went on to score 159 runs for which he played 138 balls while Rahul was uncomfortable in the beginning but once he got his rhythm, he also started hitting the shots at his will. Rahul scored 102 (104) and the Indian openers scored 227 runs in partnership. The Indian bowlers also took the benefit of huge total 387 on the board and got West Indies out for just 280 runs.

However, there was one more thing which was a topic of discussion and that was mysterious celebration style of KL Rahul after getting his century. Usually a batsman lifts his bat up in the air, thanks the God after completing his half-century or century but KL Rahul closed his eyes and put his fingers over his ears.

Even when Ian Bishop asked him about this mystery style, he denied to reveal and said that he chose to keep it a mystery.

Well, he may want to keep it a mystery but there are many creative people on social media who interpreted it in their own way and come up with some of the funniest memes over KL Rahul’s style.

Forbes Indian Celebrity 100 List Is Out & For The First Time, An Actor Is Not On Top

The year 2019 is going to end pretty soon and everyone is busy in either analysing 2019 or making new resolutions for 2020. Here is some inspiration for you as the Forbes Indian Celebrity 100 list is out and the results are quite surprising. The Indian celebrities have been ranked on the basis of their earnings as well as popularity and while Khans of Bollywood used to rule at the top positions earlier, this year a young cricketer has secured the number one rank.

Before we tell you about the rank and celebrities, let us inform you that the period taken into consideration is from 1 October 2018 to 30 September 2019. One more thing that we want to make clear is that a person with low earnings can also secure higher rank than the person with higher earnings because of him being more popular. Forbes started releasing the Indian Celebrity List eight years ago and it is the first time in eight years that an actor is not on rank one.

This year, skipper of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli (31) is on the number one spot with the earnings of Rs 252.72 crores which includes his match fees, BCCI contract fees, endorsements and also his earnings from social media sponsorships.

Since 2016, Salman Khan was constantly at the number one spot but this time, he is at number 3 with Rs 229.25 crores while actor Akshay Kumar is on the second spot with Rs 293.25 crores.

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan sits at number 4 whereas one more very popular face of the Indian cricket, MS Dhoni is at the 5th position and superstar Shah Rukh Khan manages to get the 6th spot.

For the first time, two women are in the top 10 list – Alia Bhatt at the 8th and Deepika Padukone at the 10th position.

One more good thing that has happened is that young actresses such as Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Disha Patani have also managed to get into the list of 100 celebrities for the first time, thanks to their popularity and endorsements because they don’t have that much work which can help them in making into the list.

Hera Pheri 3 On Cards & Akshay Kumar To Be A Part Of It

Superstar Akshay Kumar is all set for his next release “Good Newwz” in which he is working with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. While the Khiladi of Bollywood is busy in promoting his upcoming movie, he has made an announcement regarding the “Hera Pheri” franchise which has brought a smile on the faces of his fans.

There is no denying the fact that a “Hera Pheri” installment will be incomplete if any of the three actors – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal is absent from the flick. Earlier there were rumours that Akshay will be missing from the third part of the franchise and it will have John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty.

However, it didn’t happen and it was said that actor Kartik Aaryan would be playing the lead character in the movie but now it seems that the trio is back together and we will get some more updates pretty soon.

Recently while talking to a leading daily, Akshay revealed that the efforts are on to make the third film of the series but he refused to divulge more details. It is being said that the movie will be directed by Indra Kumar.

The first part of the “Hera Pheri” series got released in 2000 and despite the fact that it performed average at the box-office, it is considered to be one of the best comedy movies ever made in Bollywood. The second movie “Phir Hera Pheri” hit the theatres in 2006 and it was a big hit at the box-office.

Troller Called Renuka Shahane Dam Actress. Renuka Had The Best Reply

Renuka Shahane is one of the finest and very popular actresses of Indian Television and Cinema. She has been pretty vocal on various issues and is one of those celebrities who don’t like to mince their words or rather speak their hearts out whenever they feel the need to do so.

Renuka is also quite active on social media networks, especially on the micro-blogging site Twitter and recently, she didn’t miss the opportunity to correct one of her fans who wrote a word incorrectly which changed the meaning of the whole sentence.

A Twitter user wrote to Renuka that she is just dam actress.

The word dam is incorrect here as it should have been damn; the actress wrote that the user must have meant damn and not dam as the latter is built over rivers and helps in production of electricity. Renuka says that she can’t be a dam even if she wants as it is a non-living thing; however, she does admit that she is a damn good actress.

Renuka Shahane’s tweet read, “Do you mean ‘damn’? Dams are built over rivers, to harness electricity. You don’t mean I’m a dam, right? Even if I wanted to be, I couldn’t. They are non living things. Damn! Now may I correct your sentence? “You are just a damn actress” Yes I am! And I’m damn good!”

Well, certainly the actress has a good sense of humour but she also doesn’t mind replying to the Indian Prime Minister if she is concerned about something. Recently when PM Modi took to Twitter and asked people to maintain peace in the country as CAA protests are going on in India, she asked the Prime Minister to control the IT cell of BJP because she feels that it is the one which is spreading negativity in the country.
