The Australian cricket team must be pretty disappointed after getting defeated by England in the fifth and last test match of the Ashes series which was played at the Oval. The series now stands at 2-2 despite the fact that Australia dominated for the majority of the part.

Ashes 2019 will always be remembered for the wonderful batting knocks of Australian batsman Steve Smith who scored total 774 runs in seven innings. He also got a standing ovation by the public at the Oval when he got out in the second innings of the fifth test match.

However, there is one more thing for which the Ashes will be remembered and that is how Jonny Bairstow made a fool of Steve Smith and that too, two times.

If you remember, earlier Jonny Bairstow, the English wicketkeeper, faked a run-out attempt and made Steve Smith dive into the crease to save his wicket while batting in the first innings of the fifth test match. It was when Steve got up, he realised that there was no chance of him getting run-out as the ball was thrown at the bowler’s end. In the press conference, Steve said that Bairstow made him dive and dirtied his clothes and even confessed that that Jonny got him.

Well Jonny Bairstow did it again and he once again made the former Australian skipper look like a fool but this time, Jonny was the one who was batting and Steve was fielding in the slip.

Nathan Lyon was bowling the 66^th over of the innings and his second delivery was pretty out of the off-stump, Jonny who was facing the delivery first decided to play a sweep short but at the last moment, he changed his mind and played it towards the slip. Steve was not at all ready for it and he completely missed it. The frustration and annoyance was clearly visible on Steve’s face as he knew that it was the second time that he had been fooled.

The fans of actor Salman Khan and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali were very happy after the announcement of movie “Inshallah” was made as both of them were coming together after almost 20 years. The flick also said to have starred the young and beautiful actress Alia Bhatt in a lead role; however, things didn’t turn out as planned and the film has now been shelved.

There was quite a huge uproar on social media networks regarding the age difference between Salman and Alia but the leading cast paid no attention to it. However after some time, it was revealed that Salman opted out of the movie but no clear information was available as to why he took this step. It was rumoured that there were some date issues because of which the movie had been shelved and later it was also said that Salman was not fine with the script of the second half of the film and he wanted some changes which were denied by Bhansali.

However, according to the latest reports that are doing rounds, Salman has left “Inshallah” because he had some kissing scenes with Alia.

Everybody knows that Salman never kisses on-screen and it is a rule which he has been following since the start of his career. The script of the movie demanded multiple lip-lock scenes between the leading pair and Salman asked Bhansali to change them but the director was not in the mood to alter the script.

The Ashes series came to an end with England winning the fifth and the final test match by a huge margin of 135 runs after the Australian team got all out on 263 runs in the second innings while chasing the target of 399.

The five-test match series got tied at 2-2 as the first and the fourth test matches were won by Australia while the third and the final one had been won by the hosts and the second test match was a draw.

Sledging is a part of the game when these two teams face each other and in the last test match also, some unpleasant incidents took place. While Ben Stokes used abusive language for David Warner, the umpires took a tough stand against the antics of Matthew Wade.

It was clearly apparent that Australians are pretty tired now as they have been in England for almost four months since they came here before the World Cup 2019.

During the match, Ben Stokes and David Warner had some heated exchanges on the field and Isabelle Westbury, a journalist from the UK, heard Stokes calling Warner a “F**king prick” while he was going for lunch.

Later when Ben Stokes was batting, it was heard through the stump mic that an Australian player uttered, “Yeah Bristol” which was a reference to the 2017 nightclub fight in which Ben Stokes was involved.

The Government of India is considering selling the majority stake of India’s second-largest state refiner and fuel retailer to an overseas oil company. Bharat Petroleum is a Government of India controlled oil and gas company.

It is said, the government currently has a stake of 53.3% in the Maharatna oil and gas company. If the government sells their stake, then it’ll help them to meet more than 40% of the aim Rs 1.05 crore disinvestment target for the ongoing fiscal year based on Bharat Petroleum’s closing price on 12th September Thursday.

As per the reports of Business Standard, The government is keen to lure multinational companies in the domestic fuel retailing to boost competition and shake up a sector that’s long been dominated by state-run firms, the people said, asking not to be identified as the plan is not public.

The talks for selling BPCL is at an early stage and it’s not clear how long it’ll take to make the final decision. However, the government needs approval from Parliament if they wish to privatize Bharat Petroleum.

According to reports doing the rounds, due to the unstable economic slowdown, the Government of India has set a goal of raising Rs. 1,05,000 crore ($14.8 billion) in the current fiscal year.
