Steve Smith Got Fooled By Fake Run-Out Attempt Of Jonny Bairstow; Steve Confesses, “He Got Me”

The fifth test match of the Ashes series is being played between the arch-rivals Australia and England at the Oval and the Australian batsman Steve Smith has once again proved that he is one of the best batsmen of the world cricket.

On Friday, team Australia’s first innings got over at 225 with Steve contributing 80 valuable runs. After this innings, he has become the second batsman to score more than 80 runs in all the consecutive six innings. Earlier, Sir Everton Weekes made this record in 1948 against the Indian team. Steve Smith also broke the record of making successive fifties against the same opposition.

The England bowler Jofra Archer played an important role in sending the Australian team back to the dressing room as he took 6 wickets for just 62 runs and helped his team in taking a lead of 69 runs. Jofra has now become the first England bowler to take six wickets haul in Ashes, earlier this feat was achieved by Iam Botham in 1981.

During the Australian innings, an incident happened which left Australian batsman Steve Smith embarrassed and he must have felt like a fool. England wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow tricked Steve and made him dive to save his wicket while taking a run as Jonny made him believe that he was going to collect the ball and hit the bails.

When Steve got up, he came to realise that the throw was at the bowler’s end and his wicket was completely safe.

When a reporter asked Steve about the incident, he said that Jonny got him there and dirtied his clothes. Steve further stated that Jonny didn’t say anything and faked it as he had no idea where the ball was. It was quite clear that Steve was embarrassed as he said that he had nothing much to say other than Jonny got him (fooled).

Well, that was quite fun, wasn’t it?

Virat Kohli Finally Opens Up On Dhoni’s Retirement After His Throwback Tweet Sparked Rumours

The retirement of former skipper and Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is one of the most talked about topics nowadays and while his fans want to see him play more, haters wish for a new talent in his place.

On September 12, Dhoni’s fans went into frenzy as they thought that MS Dhoni would be announcing his retirement from the international cricket. It happened because Indian skipper Virat Kohli took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared a photo which was of a match from T20 World Cup, 2016.

This match was played against Australia and it was won by India with the help of Virat’s brilliant knock. Kohli tweeted that Dhoni made him run like a fitness test in that match.

Here’s what Virat wrote, “A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test 😄 @msdhoni 🇮🇳

The tweet went viral instantly and people started thinking that Virat Kohli is hinting towards Dhoni’s retirement. Some online users also claimed that the wicketkeeper-batsman has called a press conference at 7 pm in the evening to make an announcement regarding his retirement. However some time later, the chief selector MSK Prasad and Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni refuted all these rumours.

When Virat Kohli was asked about his tweet, he said that there was no specific reason behind posting that tweet and it was just that he was thinking about that match.

When he was asked about Dhoni’s retirement, the Indian skipper said that whether it is liked or not but the truth is that experience has always mattered in the game. It has been proven by many players in the past and by Dhoni as well that age is just a number. Virat added that best part is that Dhoni thinks for Indian cricket and when to stop playing is a personal decision on which nobody should give his/her opinion.

On Saturday, Virat was addressing a press conference ahead of the start of South African T20 series. As per him, he has learnt the lesson that not everyone thinks in the same manner. He said that there was nothing on his mind while posting the tweet. He was at home and as he had not talked about this match openly, he uploaded the photo but it was taken otherwise.

The last match that MSD played for India was World Cup 2019 semi-final which India lost against New Zealand. Since then, Dhoni has not been a part of the team and his fans are missing him a lot.

The first match of the T20 series against South Africa will be played at Dharamshala and it will be pretty important for the players to show their class as it will help them in booking their seats for the T20 World Cup Championship which is going to take place in 2020.

All the best to the Indian team for the series against South Africa!

Katrina Paired Lehenga With Sports Shoes But Haters Trolled Her For Age, Called Her Buddhi Bride

After Himesh Reshammiya, Ranu Mondal Opens Up On Lata Mangeshkar’s Remarks About Her

Ranu Mondal has become a household name now as people have fallen in love with her mesmerising voice. The manner in which her life has changed in such a short span of time is no less than a miracle. The woman who used to sing at the Ranaghat railway station, West Bengal, and was living her life in poor conditions is now recording songs for movies in Mumbai.

The whole credit for this wonderful change in Ranu’s life goes to a passer-by who recorded a video in which she was seen singing Lata Mangeshkar’s “Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai” and posted the video online. The video got instantly viral and now Ranu has not only appeared in a singing reality show but she has also recorded 3 songs for actor-composer Himesh Reshammiya’s movie “Happy, Hardy and Heer”.

The netizens showered their love and praises on the new Internet sensation but they were not quite happy with the comments that were made by the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

As per Lata Ji, she feels fortunate if someone gets benefited from her work or name but copying a person can’t guarantee success in the long run. She says that the aspiring singers can get attention for a short time only if they sing her songs or songs of Kishore Da, Mukesh, Mohd. Rafi or Asha Bhonsle. Lata Mangeshkar further states that the singer should try to be original and after some time, they should try to find their own song.

The online users were of the opinion that Lata Mangeshkar could have been more encouraging and generous while making comments on a woman who has seen a lot of struggles in her life.

When Ranu was asked about Lata’s comment, she said that she would always be junior to Lata Ji as far as age is concerned, adding that she has loved Lata’s voice since her childhood.

However, Himesh Reshammiya is of the opinion that it should be seen as to in what context Lata Ji has made the comment. He says that copying someone doesn’t work in the long run but taking inspiration from somebody is also necessary. Himesh further adds that Ranu is specially talented and she has not copied Lata Ji.

Himesh should also be applauded for giving a chance to the new talent. What do you say?
