Amruta Subhash Opens Up About Her Role As A RAW Agent In Sacred Games 2

Kusum Devi Yadav aka Yadav Tai in Sacred Games was played by Amruta Subhash, who is well known for her Marathi movies and theatre plays. The actress also played Ranveer Singh’s mother Razia in Gully Boy. Her first film Shwaas, was the official entry to the Oscars from India in 2004.

Amruta talked to length about her role in the Netflix Original series Sacred Games and her acting career. She told that she has three mentors, her mother, who is also a well known Marathi actress Jyoti Subhash, theatre director Satyadev Dubey, and actor Naseeruddin Shah, for which she learned a lot at the National School of Drama.

Interesting she bagged the role in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy through her earlier roles. She revealed that Akhtar saw her in Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 and Ruchika Oberoi’s Island City and approached her for Gully Boy.

About how she got the role of Yadav Tai in Sacred Games, Amruta stated that she met Vikaramaditya Motwane and Varun Grover at the premiere of Manto. After that, she got a call from their casting director.

One more thing which is very interesting about her role in the web series is that in the book her character was a male but series writer turned it to female for it.

Her husband actor-director Sandesh Kulkarni played the role of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s father in Season 1. He told her to underplay the role and not be a hero as RAW agents, don’t usually reveal how extremely powerful they are.

Amruta also revealed that she drew her motivation from a chameleon. She was shooting in Sri Lanka when she saw a chameleon and noticed her energy and expressions. She saw that the chameleon’s eyelids were downward and that’s how she played KDY. Dull eyes and less spark and it actually worked.

Needless to say, Amruta rocked the role and no one could have pulled off a character more flawlessly as she did.

Kriti Posted Pic With Lord Ganesha’s Idol But Cropped Kartik. When He Asked, She Gave An Epic Reply

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated all over India and the Bollywood celebs are also wishing their fans on this auspicious occasion.

The “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” fame actor Kartik Aaryan also took to Instagram and posted a message with a photo in which he is seen with the idol of Lord Ganesha. Kartik wrote, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Aap sabke jeevan mein, sukh, shanti, samriddhi bane rahe. Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

Just a little later, the beautiful actress Kriti Sanon also posted a message on her Instagram wishing her fans and followers on Ganesh Chaturthi. She shared a photo of herself with the idol of Lord Ganesha and wrote, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi everyone. May God bless you with the ability to seize every moment and find happiness in everything you do! Spread love.”

However, if you look closely, the idol of Lord Ganesha is the same in both the pics. Well, this is because Kartik and Kriti celebrated the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi together in Mathura last year on the sets of their movie “Luka Chuppi” and in the original photo, they were clicked together with Lord Ganesha’s idol.

Here is the original photo with the caption, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi everyone! Ganpati Bappa Morya! Bappa’s blessings on set today in Mathura.”

While Kartik cropped Kriti from the photo, Kriti also returned the favour in the same style. As Kriti posted her message on Instagram, Kartik asked her why she cropped him and in reply, Kriti said that she did so because he cut her out from the photo that he shared on Instagram.

Joker Honest Review: Joaquin Phoenix’s Performance Stole The Show, Critics Hailed Him

Todd Phillips directorial Joker premiered at The Venice Film Festival this year and needless to say it is the most twisted movie in the festival. After the film premiered critics divided into two groups, some think that after this Joaquin Phoenix is the sure winner of the Best Actor award and others think that he will be competing under Most Acting category. But most people think that Joaquin’s performance will definitely earn him an Oscar nomination.

The movie received an eight-minute standing ovation. Critics praised the actor’s bold, edgy and dark performance. One of the critics David Ehrlich wrote, “Todd Phillips’ Joker is unquestionably the boldest reinvention of “superhero” cinema since The Dark Knight; a true original that’s sure to be remembered as one of the most transgressive studio blockbusters of the 21st Century.”

Joaquin even mastered the iconic Joker’s laugh and for that, he went to a new depth. He said that it was nearly painful to hit the right note.

Is Rohit Sharma’s Test Career Over After Hanuma Vihari’s Brilliant Knocks? Here’s What Fans Tweeted

The fans of Rohit Sharma were quite upset when they came to know that Hanuma Vihari had been preferred over Hitman for the test series against West Indies. Rohit was in a great form in the World Cup 2019 as he scored five centuries in the tournament so keeping him out of the playing eleven seemed a little strange even to his critics.

However, Hanuma has justified the team management’s decision as he has performed superbly in the ongoing test series against West Indies. In the first test match, he scored 37 runs in the first inning while in the second inning, he missed his century just by 7 runs since he scored 93 runs. His knock in the second inning played a crucial role in India’s win by a huge margin of 318 runs.

If we talk about the second test match, we have to admit that Hanuma Vihari has played a knock which he will always remember. He scored his maiden century (111) and also partnered with Ishant Sharma in order to take his team in a strong position while in the second inning, he once again played sensibly and scored a half century, that too when India lost wickets in quick succession.

The good part was that Hanuma performed superbly whenever his team needed it the most. He was not able to make his presence felt in Australia but this time, he has done exceptionally well. Hanuma’s performance in the West Indian series has started a discussion as to whether he has shut down the doors for Rohit Sharma in the test matches or not.

Game of Thrones season 8 episode 4 created a stir among the fans. In a particular scene during the dinner celebration held on the occasion of defeating the night king. Daenerys Targaryen being uncomfortable with Jon Snow’s popularity didn’t make the audience uncomfortable, but the presence of the Starbucks coffee mug definitely did.

After the coffee cup was spotted Game of Thrones fans lost their cool how can such a humongous production can make such a silly mistake it was supposed to be a dragon drink rather than coffee. As the coffee cup was evident on the dining table.


Well, finally, after months the creators of Game of Thrones David Benioff and DB Weiss has finally responded to the massive Game of Thrones blunder.

David Benioff said, it’s like in Persian rugs, it’s a tradition that you make a little mistake when making the rug, because only God can do anything perfectly, so for us I guess that just was our (mistake).

DB Weiss further said, that’s why I put the coffee cup there. It was a conscious, concerted statement of our imperfection.

Benioff gave a serious reply by saying, We’re focusing completely on Daenerys and Jon Snow that we just didn’t see this coffee cup right in the center. So at first, I couldn’t believe it, and then it was kind of embarrassing because, how did we not see this coffee cup in the middle of the shot? And then, eventually, it was just funny. This one is just a mistake, and it’s kind of funny to us now.

Is India Really The Fastest Growing Economy In The World? Here’s The Truth

The current government of India time and again claims that the Indian economy is the fastest-growing economy in the world. What is the truth behind this claim? India’s GDP growth released a few days ago, narrates a very different story.
