Dean Jones Recalled His Dehydration Incident, Got Trolled By Aakash Chopra & Scott Styris

The Indian cricket team is on the tour to West Indies and when they are not playing matches, the players can be seen chilling on the beaches to beat the heat. The weather conditions in Jamaica where the second test match between India and the West Indies is being played are quite hot and humid as well. While the players are making sure of keeping themselves well-hydrated, the former West Indian legendary cricketer, Sir Vivian Richards was not able to bear the heat.

Sir Vivian Richards suffered from dehydration and was taken to hospital for check-up. The incident took place just before the second test match started, the legendary West Indian former cricketer was doing a pre-match show when he complained of uneasiness. Immediately, a stretcher was brought but Richards chose to walk off, he was taken to hospital and it was found that he suffered from dehydration. Some time later, he returned and did commentary as well.

This incident took back former Australian cricketer Dean Jones into his cricketing days and he decided to let everyone know that he also suffered from dehydration during the Chennai test in 1986-87. In this test match, Dean was on the field for more than 500 minutes and he scored a superb double century. No result came of the match as it was the second tied test match in the history of the world test cricket. Dean was admitted into hospital as he was given saline drip so that he can recover quickly.

Dean Jones took to Twitter to share a photo from the same test match in which he is seen wrapped with a towel.

He wrote, “I heard my dear mate and the greatest of all time @ivivianrichards fell ill in Jamaica due to dehydration. Trust you are well my dear mate.. have I told you when I was dehydrated in Madras……???”

The former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra who has also become a commentator chose to troll Dean Jones while wishing Sir Vivian Richards a recovery.

He tweeted, “Wishing Sir Viv good health. And Deano, why haven’t you shared that story with us yet??? @scottbstyris, you wouldn’t have heard that either…right??”

Aakash also tagged Scott Styris asking him whether he has heard about it, Scott also didn’t missed the chance to have fun, soon he responded with, “Judging by that photo Aakash… not sure @ProfDeano realised that to recover from dehydration you’ve got drink everything not eat everything #rich.”

We also wish Sir Vivian Richards a good health.

Jasprit Bumrah Is Third Indian Bowler To Take A Hat-Trick In Test. Twitter Can’t Stop Praising Him

The Indian cricket team is on its way to clean sweep the test series against West Indies as our players performed superbly in all the segments of the second test match which is being played at Sabina Park, Jamaica. The start of the day 2 was not good for team India as Rishabh Pant got out early at the score of 27 and Ravindra Jadeja also lost his wicket even before he was able to settle at the crease.

However the good thing was that Ishant Sharma batted beautifully and provided good support to Hanuma Vihari. While Ishant scored a half-century, Hanuma scored his maiden century and helped team India in putting a huge total of 416 on the board.

The hosts were never comfortable against the Indian bowling but the highlight was the hat-trick of Jasprit Bumrah who dismissed Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase in three consecutive deliveries.

After this hat-trick, Bumrah has become the third Indian bowler to take a hat-trick and the third bowler to get a hat-trick in West Indies. He tore apart the West Indian batting line-up as he took six wickets in total and West Indians were 87/7 at the end of day 2.

The Indian cricket fans and former cricketers were all praises for Jasprit Bumrah and some fans were of the opinion that the manner in which Bumrah is bowling, history will remember him as the great Indian pacer of all time.

Jasprit Bumrah also took to Twitter to share his happiness with his fans and friends. He tweeted, “A day I won’t forget 💥🇮🇳🦁

Earlier ICC also praised Bumrah when West Indies was 22/5 and all the five wickets were taken by Bumrah. ICC tweeted,

“Wow… Just wow Jasprit Bumrah!

What a stunning performance, he has all five wickets to fall and West Indies are 22/5”

Manmohan Singh Opens Up About The Slowing Down Indian Economy, Slams Modi Government

The former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh finally opened up about the slowing down economy of India after the country recorded a slow GDP growth rate of 5 percent for the first quarter. He slammed the Modi government for the mismanagement and urged it to “steer our economy out of this man-made crisis.”

India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh speaks during a news conference in Washington November November 25, 2009. Singh said on Wednesday that he saw no major hurdles to quickly implementing a bilateral civil agreement with the United States that would open up India’s potential $150 billion market in power plants. Singh blamed the center for all the mismanagement and said that India has the potential to grow at a much faster rate. Distressed about the situation he added that the manufacturing sector’s growth is stumbling at 0.6%. Taking a jibe at some biggest decisions taken by the Modi government, he said that the Indian economy has not yet recovered from the man-made blunders of demonetization and a hastily implemented GST.

“Last quarter’s GDP growth rate of 5% signals that were in midst of a prolonged slowdown,” he said.

He further said that on domestic demand being depressed and consumption growth at an 18-month low and nominal GDP growth at a 15 year low, there is a gaping hole in tax revenues. Singh also blamed the current government for around 3.5 lakh jobs lost in the automobile sector.

He was quoted as saying, “Rural India is in terrible shape as farmers are not receiving adequate prices and rural incomes have declined. The low inflation rate that the Modi government likes to showcase comes at the cost of our farmers and their incomes, by inflicting misery on over 50 percent of India’s population.”
