The former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh finally opened up about the slowing down economy of India after the country recorded a slow GDP growth rate of 5 percent for the first quarter. He slammed the Modi government for the mismanagement and urged it to “steer our economy out of this man-made crisis.”
India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh speaks during a news conference in Washington November November 25, 2009. Singh said on Wednesday that he saw no major hurdles to quickly implementing a bilateral civil agreement with the United States that would open up India’s potential $150 billion market in power plants. Singh blamed the center for all the mismanagement and said that India has the potential to grow at a much faster rate. Distressed about the situation he added that the manufacturing sector’s growth is stumbling at 0.6%. Taking a jibe at some biggest decisions taken by the Modi government, he said that the Indian economy has not yet recovered from the man-made blunders of demonetization and a hastily implemented GST.
“Last quarter’s GDP growth rate of 5% signals that were in midst of a prolonged slowdown,” he said.
He further said that on domestic demand being depressed and consumption growth at an 18-month low and nominal GDP growth at a 15 year low, there is a gaping hole in tax revenues. Singh also blamed the current government for around 3.5 lakh jobs lost in the automobile sector.
He was quoted as saying, “Rural India is in terrible shape as farmers are not receiving adequate prices and rural incomes have declined. The low inflation rate that the Modi government likes to showcase comes at the cost of our farmers and their incomes, by inflicting misery on over 50 percent of India’s population.”

China takes care of all its citizens equally. That is why it created a “love train” for all the singles in the country. It was launched three years ago and it is a 10-carriage train known as the Y999 Love-Pursuit Train.
Last week the train went on its annual two-day one-night journey with over 1000 young single men and women. The passengers were all there in hope to find their someone special.
Since its first voyage three years ago, around 3000 single people have journeyed on the train, out of which 10 couples have even gotten married after meeting on the train.
The organizers on the train design various games for the youngsters to play. Passengers also enjoy a variety of dining options while meeting and talking to people. While playing games and eating together people get to know each other better.
The travelers on the train stopped over the ancient water town of Zhuo Shui where they enjoyed traditional performances and 100o people banquet.
This might be an unusual idea but it far better than finding someone online. What do you think?

Novak Djokovic, the number one tennis player, is a cool guy but recently, he lost his temper when a fan acted mean to him. The incident took place in the warm-up session before Novak’s match against Denis Kudla which the former won by 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 and after winning it, he reached the US Open last 16.
A video has been captured in which the 16-time grand slam champion is having an argument with the fan and in the end, Novak can be heard saying that he will find him.

When Novak was asked to tell what he meant by that statement, the tennis player explains that he simply wanted to buy a drink for the guy. Sounds surprising, doesn’t it?
Djokovic didn’t reveal what communication took place between them as it was kept between the drinking buddies but the tennis player thought that the person did a favor to him unknowingly.
As per Novak, the fan motivated him which helped him in the match against Denis and this is why he wished to buy a drink for that fan.
What are your thoughts on this? Do let us know.

There is no denying the fact that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the capability of making things simple and he has done something of this sort while addressing a conclave through video conferencing.
On Friday, PM Modi spoke in Manorama News Conclave which was taking place in Kochi, Kerala, but PM Modi attended it via a video link. While speaking in the conclave, he put forth a suggestion and asked people to use the power of language to unite. He said that languages have been used for selfish interests so far and urged people to now use them for getting united. As per PM Modi, it can be done by posting one word in 10-12 languages which are spoken in India and in this manner, a person will be able to learn 300 new words in different languages in a year.
The suggestion was liked by many, including the Congress leader and Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor who is known for his linguistic skills, wit and sense of humour. Shashi liked PM Modi’s suggestion a lot and welcomed it as he felt that it is a departure from Hindi dominance.
Shashi Tharoor also decided to take up this #LanguageChallenge and from now on, he would post one word daily in three languages – Hindi, English and Malayalam. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and made a couple of tweets in this connection.
His first tweet read,
“Prime Minister @NarendraModi ended his speech at the #manoramanewsconclave by suggesting we all learn one new word a day from an Indian language other than our own. I welcome this departure from Hindi dominance &gladly take him up on this #LanguageChallenge.”
In the second tweet, Shashi Tharoor wrote,
“In response to the PM’s #LanguageChallenge, I will tweet a word daily in English, Hindi & Malayalam. Others can do this in other languages. Here is the 1st one:
Pluralism (English)
बहुलवाद
bahulavaad (Hindi)
ബഹുവചനം
bahuvachanam (Malayalam)”
