Claimed to be the 245th Policewali picture Arjun Patiala is a light-hearted spoof film which is one of his kind. This genre has never been experienced much in Bollywood till date but it is interesting to watch.
The story of Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Sharma, and Kriti Sanon starrer Arjun Patiala is quite simple. Diljit’s Ajun is a cop of the fictional town of Ferozepur in Punjab who aims for reducing the crime rate in his area and to an extent he is successful. Varun (Onidda Singh) is Arjun’s sidekick and constable and follows him like a shadow and together they are like Batman and Robin.
The duo loves girls and whiskey above all and is happy with their usual life until Kriti (Ritu Randhawa) appears as a journalist and Arjun falls for her instantly. Ritu comes to the town to report on goons.
MLA Prapti Makkad (Seema Pahwa), also referred to as ‘Property Makkar’ is the villain of the area. Sakool (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) is also a negative character in the movie.
The film cannot be taken seriously as every now and then someone released the fourth wall and starts talking to the camera. Sunny Leone has cameo in the film and she does not leaves an impact on audience, However her item number lingers on your mouth a little longer.
The writing and directiong in the first is somehow okay but it turns childish in the second half. Diljit’s innocence is the essence of the film and he fits into the character. Kriti has too little to do on screen after her few dialogues.
The only fun element of the flick is Varun who will make you laugh at his own expense. His hilarious backstory, the reason behind his name and his broken heart, everything is laughable. So many girls have broken hi heart that he has stopped thinking about love and has settled for a bufalloo and calls her his lady love. This might sound bizarre but it looks hilarious on screen.
All in all if you have nothing to do this weekend you can go and watch Arjun Patiala with family and come out with your mood lightened.

It often happens that a celebrity says something and it is spread like wildfire. We often tend to forget that they are humans too, and even they have a room that they can make mistakes. After getting past several controversies Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya finally released.
The central character is Bobby Garewal (Ranaut) who is weird in every possible way. Childhood trauma has left her psychotic. She has uncanny fashion sense, she is a dubbing artist and aspires to be an actress but gets obsessed with her every character. She chooses 3 months in an asylum over Rs 20,000 fine. She trusts no one just her mind which plays games with her.
Then comes a normal-looking Keshav (Rao) with wife Rima (Amrya Dastur) in her building. Their perfect life story attracts Bobby and she gets obsessed with them until a murder happens and all their lives turn upside down. Bobby believes that Keshav is the murderer but no one believes her. But is he? Is it just Bobby’s mind, playing games again?
The thrill reaches to a level where you will find yourself sitting on the edge of the seat trying to figure out who is the real culprit.
Prakash Kovelamudi direction is very captivating and will keep you intrigued throughout the movie. There’s is not even a single moment which is a little boring or seems out of the place. Everything that happens, happens for a reason, even Bobby’s overactive imagination which sometimes turns to reality.
Talking about the lead actors and their performance, well it is needless to say that none of them disappoints. One can go and watch the film for either of them even if you are not into dark and twisted thrills. Here it is important to mention that Kangana stole the show and she is so much into the character that you will need some time to get her out of your mind. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that she had played the character to perfection.
The climax will leave you shocked and at the end, you will realize that not only Kangana’s mind played with her, but the story also played with your mind.
