Hima Das Clinches Her 5th Consecutive Gold In Just 18 Days, Twitter Hails The “Dhing Express”

The young Indian female sprinter Hima Das has created a history by winning 5 gold medals in just 18 days. Hima Das is the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal in a track event in IAAF World U20 Championship.

On Saturday the Dhing Express won her fifth gold medal in the 400-meter race in Prague, Czech Republic. The Indian sprinter recorded 50.9 seconds to complete her race and registered her second-best timing.


As her personal best timing is 50.79 seconds which Hima clocked in the Asian Games last year in Jakarta.


The 19-year-old Hima continues to make the nation proud. She is on roll and now nothing can stop the Dhing Express. Hima is earning plaudits online after clinching 5 consecutive gold medals. Hima has donated her half month salary to Assam Flood Relief Fund.

8 Facts About The Longest Serving Female CM, Sheila Dikshit

Sheila Dikshit was An Indian politician who served The CM of Delhi for the most extended period, and she was also the only female who served as a CM for 15 years. Sheila Dikshit passed away yesterday in Delhi, due to a cardiac arrest. She had gone under the knife a couple of times in the past two decades, and her health was a concern. On Saturday morning, she suddenly fell restless, and her heartbeat increased. Her family rushed her to the hospital, but on the way, Sheila suffered through a cardiac arrest. When she arrived at the hospital, she was unconscious and had no pulse.

Here are eight things about her, that you should know about her.

1. She was born to a non-political Punjabi family in 1938, and she did her schooling and graduation from Delhi itself.

2. Sheila was married to Vinod Dikshit, son of freedom fighter and former West Bengal governor Uma Shankar Dikshit,

3. Indira Gandhi personally noticed her work, while Sheila was working for her father-in-law. Indira nominated her as a delegate of the United Nations Commission on the issue of the status of women.

4. Sheila was also jailed for 23 days in 1990 for fighting against cruelty and violence against women.

5. Sheila fought from East Delhi constituency in 1988 but lost against Lal Bihari Tiwari.

6. Sheila later became the CM after her party won 52 seats out of 70. She then served as CM for three consecutive terms, from 1998-2013.

7. She was appointed as a Governor in Kerala in 2014 after Congress lost all the major seats due to corruption charges.

8. Sheila did make a comeback in 2019, but lost to Manoj Tiwari from BJP.

Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Announces Number Of Upcoming Projects, Here Is The List

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, announced a bunch of projects which are coming soon. After the announcement, he also mentioned that the Avatar record has been broken by Avengers: Endgame. He said, “I’ve just heard from our folks in Disney distribution that within a matter of days ‘Avengers: Endgame will be the biggest film in history.”

Here is the list of Marvel’s upcoming projects, both films, and Television shows.

1. Black Widow

Scarlet Johansson will revive her role of Natasha in Black Widow which will release on May 1, 2020.

2. Eternals

Announcing Eternals Kevin said that it will be “entirely new and entirely different”. The film starring Angelina Jolie will narrate the story of a group of immortals who have been on earth for thousands of years. It will hit theaters on November 6, 2020.

3. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Sam Wilson, the Falcon, and Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier will work together and the film is likely to take place post-“Endgame.” It is slated to release in the fall of 2020.

4. Shang-Chi: And the Legend of the Ten Rings

Simu Liu will play the lead role in the film which will release on February 12, 2021.

5. WandaVision

Talking about her role Elizabeth Olsen said, “We’re going to get weird, we’re going to go very deep.” She will be seen in the role of Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch. “We’re going to finally understand Wanda Maximoff as Scarlet Witch,” she added. WandaVision will be released in the spring of 2021.

6. Loki

Tom Hiddleston will be seen as Loki and it will release in the spring of 2021.

Feige said that the sequel of Doctor Strange would be called “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” It will release on May 7, 2021.

Releasing in the summer of 2021 the animated series will be available on Disney+.

9. Hawkeye

Feige said that the series will definitely focus on Hawkeye’s time as Ronin, but also bring in Kate Bishop, a beloved character from the comics, as his protege. It will hit theatres in the fall of 2021.

10. Thor: Love and Thunder

Slated to release on November 5, 2021, the film will introduce a female Thor played by Natalie Portman.

No More Wastage Of Milk During Shravan, Lion Club Calcutta Kakurgachi Introduces A Holy Offering

Hindus all across the globe are celebrating Shravan – the holy month of fasting. Devotees wait for the auspicious holy month to appease Lord Shiva by praying, fasting, offering a bevvy of fruits, milk, and flowers.

Devotees visit the Shiv temple and perform Abhishek with honey, milk and water to earn virtues. Well, ever wondered what happens to these offerings? They simply flow down into the drains.


Every year infinite litres of milk flows down in the sewage channel. Whereas, a quarter of Indian families can’t afford milk. Approximately, 8 crore children in our country go to sleep hungry.

Keeping this in mind, the Lions Club of Kolkata, Kakurgachi has launched an initiative to save the milk to feed the poor families and children by providing them with a glass door fridge.


The Lions Club of Kolkata has recently installed a fridge at Shiv Mandir in Saltlake Kolkata to save the milk from getting washed away in the drain. Devotees now offer packed milk to Lord Shiva in the temple, they touch the packaged milk to lord shiva’s statue and later deposit it the fridge for the needy people.


The milk that is deposited in the fridge is later given out to needy people. The unique idea was executed after the members of Lions club Kakurgachi saw litres of milk getting washed away. They asked the devotees to bring packaged milk for their Abhishek so that the needy people can take the milk later for their use.

Suraj Chokhani further said, due to summer, the milk was spoilt. Hence, the members of Lions Club Kakurgachi conducted a survey where they asked why they aren’t able to use the stored milk. Then they came with the brilliant idea of installing a fridge to save milk and feed the poor.
