During India’s innings against Bangladesh, more than the performance of the men in blue the 87-year-old ardent cricket fan grabbed the limelight. The camera person focused the camera on an 87-year-old Indian supporter with her spirit held high and enthusiasm she amazed the people. The elderly fan was seen blowing horns and immediately she went viral on social media.
The 87-year-old Charulata Patel said, she loves cricket and the current cricket team is all like her own kids. Team India’s captain Virat Kohli and Vice-captain Rohit Sharma met their elderly fan after the match was over at Edgbaston. Virat Kohli promised to get her tickets for the next match.
And, as promised the octogenarian attended team India’s match against Sri Lanka in Leeds. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a picture of the 87-year-old cricket fan donning team India’s jersey along with her tricolour muffler with Indian flag painted on her cheeks and glares at the India vs Sri Lanka match in Leeds.
BCCI posted the picture with the caption, Hello Charulata ji. #TeamIndia captain @imVkohli promised her tickets and our superfan is here with us is in Leeds.

Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has finally come out and has spoken about the criticism his film is getting.
During a recent interview, the filmmaker said that he had received the criticism in Telugu industry with Arjun Reddy too and in fact, he enjoyed it because it was on different aspects of the film. However, with Kabir Singh the critics have mostly concentrated only one school of thought and have ignored all the other things.
Talking about the scene where Kabir Singh slaps Preeti, he said that when you are deeply in love and are deeply connected to a woman and vice versa if you don’t have the liberty of slapping each other, then he doesn’t see anything there.
He also slammed the critics by calling them pseudo and said that probably they never experienced (love) in the right way and it’s new to them.

Se*ual harassment at the workplace is as much common as it’s shameful. While there’s a great conversation going on trying every bit to stop it, there’s not enough change in the thinking of people. In fact, every time we hear a new story, the situation turns out to be even worse.

A case from Indonesia has been reported in which a woman was arrested for 6 months & fined Rs 24 lakhs for reporting sexual assault which happened to her.
Reportedly, a 41-year-old woman named Nuril Maknun received obscene calls from her boss who is the principal at Senior High School Seven in 2013. He even sexually harassed her and wanted to have an affair with her. But when it started getting dirtier and the women noticed that there’s a rumour spreading around about their affair, she decided to record and share the calls with her husband and colleague as evidence.
However, the boss filed a defamation case against her which led to a long trial and her acquittance. This was not a stop though as he appealed against the verdict and the woman was declared guilty of distributing obscene material and was badly punished with 6 months jail and a fine of approx Rs 24 lakhs approx. When the victim appealed in the Supreme Court of Indonesia, it was denied.

The online world is full of memes and jokes. Being a memer is cool job nowadays but when an organization like ICC decides to give memers rest, it grabs far more attention. The official Twitter handle of ICC posted a funny tweet about a Pakistani bowler.
During the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, at The Lord’s, Mohammad Hafeez delivered a very rare but hilariously loose ball to Bangladesh’s batsman Soumya Sarkar in the third over. The ball slipped from Hafeez’s hand and went so high that even the camera couldn’t film it.
However, the batsman hit the ball out of the boundary by Hafeez’s delivery caught a lot of attention on social media. Starting with ICC, who posted a video showing the ball leaving Hafeez’s hand, and traveling to space, moon and then coming back, everyone made fun of it.
But ICC’s tweet divided the internet into two groups. Some laughed with ICC while there were some, mostly Pakistani fans who called ICC partial and asked if it is “Indian cricket council“. People are wondering if an Indian is handling ICC’s twitter, as no one hates Pakistan more than an Indian.

Hyderabad traffic police and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has introduced the coolest method to make the vehicle drivers follow the traffic rules. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) installed changing LED lights at a zebra crossing in the city.
Recently the Led lights were installed at the KBR traffic signal junction to make the motorists stop before the pedestrian crossing the roads since the lights are placed just before them. The initiative is taken to discourage pedestrians from jaywalking at night. The row of lights indicates where the vehicle needs to stop.
The commissioner of Hyderabad police took to his official Twitter handle to share the video of lights in action:
The video got everyone talking and Desi Twitter is busy appreciating the implementation done by the Hyderabad police. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan also praised the initiative taken by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
