The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is based on French bestseller novel The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe written by Romain Puertolas. The film stars South Indian star Dhanush as Ajatashatru Lavash Patel, along with some American actors. The comedy-adventure English film is directed by Ken Scott.
The book highlights the issues of immigrants and refugees, while the film has lost its essence. It has been converted into English language Bollywood film with songs and dance. The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir also advertises a brand of furniture which is Aja’s favorite.
The film is a story about a slum kid Aja whose mother is a Mumbai’s washerwoman and his French father has abandoned both of them. He makes money by disguising as fakir while fooling and scamming foreign tourists.
When he grows up he goes to Paris in search of his father. Within hours of reaching in an unknown country, he falls in love with Marie (Erin Moriarty). Now the real story begins and the title starts to make sense.
He promises Marie to meet at the Eiffel Tower the next day but failed by the hands of luck again, he is transported to the UK (by mistake). He finds Sudanese immigrants with him in the back of the truck, in which he is being transported.
Aja goes on an unplanned and exciting journey around Europe in the weird conveyances possible, like wardrobes, luxury luggage, trucks and what not.
But Aja is determined to find his way back to Paris and raise himself out of poverty. Will he be able to do it?
Director Ken Scott has done a wonderful job making a film based on a novel but not highlighting its issue of illegal immigrants and refugees.

This is also the case with Modi. He might have won the election but has failed to take care of his children from Bihar. Modi has not said a single word about the Bihar’s condition. While he does have the time to sympathize with Dhawan over his broken thumb. This is what he wrote,” Dear @SDhawan25, no doubt the pitch will miss you but I hope you recover at the earliest so that you can once again be back on the field and contribute to more wins for the nation.”
What about the 117 children? Do they not hold any importance? Do the lives of these children mean nothing to anyone anymore? People were angry with Modi’s tweet and many who supported him were also displeased by this.
It is so painful to see the loss of the families and yet no one is taking a step towards mending the whole situation.

According to Forbes, on 13 June, 4 trillion pounds of Greenland’s glacial ice melted into the North Atlantic Ocean. In just one day this huge amount of ice melted away.
Greenland is covered with snow throughout the year and some of it does melt in their summers, June and August respectively. But this year it was hazardous, this year the melt started early because of the heat wave in the US.
It’s high time we start thinking about these issues right now start acting on it to save our planet and our future.

The UK based Indian singer Taran Kaur Dhillon, popularly known by her stage name Hard Kaur gave a controversial statement about RSS and Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath. After making dubious comments she has been charged with sedition on Wednesday. Kaur called Adityanath an ‘orange rapeman’ and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat a ‘terrorist and racist’.
As per reports, a local lawyer of Varanasi Shashank Shekhar filed a petition against her. Shekhar, who is also an RSS volunteer, in his complaint, stated that he was “deeply hurt” by her remarks.
Reportedly, the FIR is lodged under section 124A (attempt to excite disaffection or hatred), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion), 500 (defamation), 505 (intent to incite) of IPC and 66 (sending offensive messages) of IT Act.
Kaur blamed RSS for all the terror attacks happened in India including 26/11 and Pulwama attack. She shared Yogi Adityanath’s photo on her social media page and wrote, “IF THIS GUY WAS A SUPERHERO HIS NAME WOULD BE-RAPEMAN YOGI.”

Indians weren’t pleased with the motivational quote shared by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Seems like the PR team of Imran Khan or the Prime Minister himself failed to do his homework before sharing the quote. Imran Khan misquoted a quote of Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore as Lebanese – American writer and poet Kahlil Gibran.

A few days back Sunaina took to Twitter and posted that she is living in her and she supports Kangana. And this spat between the Roshans and Ranuat sisters deepens. Kangana’s sister, Rangoli who is very vocal about everything also tweeted a few days back about how Sunaina is suffering at her home.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, she said that she is being assaulted at home. No one approves of her affair with a Muslim man at home and her father even slapped her, to show his disapproval. She said in the interview,
“Last year (I fell in love) and because I was in love with a Muslim guy, my father slapped me and told me that the guy I loved was a terrorist, which Ruhail isn’t.
It seems that Rangoli was right all along she posted the tweets long back.
Rangoli made another shocking statement that she is not able to contact her and she fears for her safety.
We can just sit and hope that things don’t get uglier than they are now.
