Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer action drama movie Bharat is ruling the box office and the most anticipated movie of Salman is winning hearts. Sonali Kulkarni who portrayed the character of young Salman’s mother was receiving a lot of criticism from the netizens. As the 44-year-old actor played the mother of 53-year-old actor Salman Khan.
Recently in an interview with News18, Sonali responded to the criticism she faced online for playing Salman Khan’s mother. She said, Of course, I thought of the age barrier. It did cross my mind, but I have played a variety of characters since the beginning of my career. In my first film, I was a tree. In ‘Daayraa’ I was a boy. Similarly, in ‘Mission Kashmir’, I have played a surrogate mother to Hrithik and played the character of Sanjay Dutt’s wife.
Nobody questioned my characters then so why now. Sonali further added she had doubts whether she will be able to do justice to her character. But director Ali Abbas Zafar was confident that she would do justice to the character.
Sonali said, My roles are my choice and I stand by my choice proudly.
However, for the first time in Bollywood, a younger actor is seen playing the character of a mother to an elder Bollywood superstar.
In ICC world cup 2019 India Played its second match with Australia on June 9. It was a thrilling match as in the history of ICC World Cup, Australia the five times world cup winner had to chase the highest score against team India.
During the match, Australia’s ace cricketer David Warner and Steve Smith were brutally booed by the crowd for the ball-tampering scandal.
The crowd in the stadium booed at Smith and chanted “cheater” while he was fielding near the boundary line. When Indian captain Virat Kohli noticed Indian fans booing Smith and it didn’t go down well with him. In between overs Virat immediately urged the fans to stop and applaud for the Australian skipper rather than chanting cheater.
Kohli won millions of hearts that day by his sweet gesture except for one. Former English cricketer Nick Compton was not at all impressed by Kohli display and “found it rather condescending“. He shared his video saying, “I don’t think Virat Kohli had any right to tell fans to stop booing at Warner and Smith but rather clap them.”
After Nick’s comment, Indian cricketer, and Bengal’s Ranji captain Manoj Tiwary came in support of Indian skipper. Manoj gave a befitting reply to Nick’s tweet. He wrote, “Wat is wrong wit this man ?? Humanity is far more beyond just rights nd wrongs in life. Grow up, Nick Compton. U won’t understand how we Indians feel about certain things in life. Request you to not drink before u make such comments”

Schools in India are making an extra effort to ease the admission procedure for children of divorced men or women and widows. Recently the Education Department of Maharastra has taken the measure and the admission within the 25 per cent reserved seats under the section Right to Education for this purpose has been made easier. As the number of single-parent families has increased by passing days.
The idea of single mothers is yet to be accepted by society. India is a patriarchal society and it is hard for many to accept the mother’s document when it comes to authorising if a child is eligible for admissions under RTE.
Recently, a video went viral on social media which was posted by Sujata Mohite. Sujata is a single parent of her loving son. In the video, Sujata is seen seeking admission for her child in St. Lawerence Vashi.
Sugata was clearly denied admission for her child because she is a single parent by the lawmaker of the school because they can’t handle the children of single parents. The lady clearly said they don’t grant admission to children of single parents.
The lady in the video was seen losing her temper on Sugata and the person who accompanied her. When Sugata charged her if the seats were already full as claimed by her then how come she asked her son to sit for the test before she got to know Sugata is a single parent.
The lady even said it’s her decision and no one can alter it. What is wrong with these people?
Where did the Right to Education flee away? No children can ever be denied education and most importantly it shouldn’t matter if the child has a single parent or both the parents. Education is for everyone!
The Right to Education Act 2009, clearly casts an obligation on the Government and local authorities to give and ensure admission, attendance and completion of elementary education by all children in the 6-14 age group.
The decision maker of school needs to go back to school so that she stops making whim rules for the school.
