Indian cricket commentator, former player and current coach of the Indian cricket team Ravi Shashtri recently posted a picture with the team members. The players are in England along with their coach all set for ICC World Cup 2019 which will commence from 30th May. The team is in high spirit and fully charged after recently finished IPL.
All of them were dressed in a blue suit and Shashtri captioned the pic “The Men in Blue – @cricketworldcup #TeamIndia #CWC19”
Just as Ravi posted the snapshot with the team, Twitter users instantly noticed a cup in his hand and couldn’t help reacting to it. While some asked what was in the cup, some were sure that it is vodka or wine. Twitterians trolled the coach for drinking and celebrating before the world cup.

PM Narendra Modi is no longer a ‘chowkidar‘. Just hours after the results of the Lok Sabha election indicating the enormous victory for the Bhartiya Janta Party.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday evening removed the prefix ‘Chowkidar’ (watchman) from his official twitter handle and Bhartiya Janta Party president Amit Shah also dropped the title while others follow the suit.
PM Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, the people of India ‘rendered great service to the nation’.
On twitter PM Narendra Modi wrote, “Now, the time has come to take the Chowkidar Spirit to the next level.
Keep this spirit alive at every moment and continue working for India’s progress.
The word ‘Chowkidar’ goes from my Twitter name but it remains an integral part of me. Urging you all to do the same too!”
PM Narendra Modi also wrote “The people of India became Chowkidars and rendered great service to the nation. Chowkidar has become a powerful symbol to safeguard India from the evils of casteism, communalism, corruption and cronyism.”
Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani and Minister of Coal and railways Piyush Goyal are among the BJP leaders who dropped the titles.

Anurag Kashyap is always very vocal about his political orientation. He questions and tweets and views very radically. Now since BJP has won the elections BJP supporters are on the roll. They are elated and happy about the governance that has been formed. But isn’t it wrong to judge someone’s political alignment? Everyone has the right to speak their opinion. But to be mocked and harassed for it is wrong.
Recently Anurag Kashyap tweeted that because of his outspoken nature someone threatened his daughter to be raped. The person was a BJP supporter and tagged Modi into his tweet, asking what should he do with these people.
Is it right to shame someone like this? Is it okay to call out women who are relatable to him? This kind of bullying has come a long way now. A person is subject to his own opinions but this is pure hatred.
Twitter was in splits and people were debating whether he did the right thing or not.
It is unethical to give threats like these to people.
We should move forward from it.

The counting of votes is finally over and the results are here which is not at all very shocking. Congress, once the biggest party of the nation could not even get 100 seats while BJP witnessed massive win again. Congress leader took to Twitter and accepted his defeat. He also congratulated the winners, PM Modi and his party and thanked his party’s workers and supporters for their hard work.
The Congress president also held a press conference in which he took responsibility for his defeat. When asked if he would resign from the post of party president he said that it is a matter between him and the Congress Working Committee.
Rahul denied saying anything about the verdict or analyze it. He said that he did not want to “color the mandate”.
“Today is not the day for me to go into the details of this mandate. Today is the day that a new prime minister has been elected. Today is the day to wish him all the best,” Rahul said.
Rahul tried everything to defeat Modi in the Lok Sabha elections and left stone unturned to prove him a liar and corrupt. He announced to launch NYAY scheme to give the 20 percent BPL families ₹72,000 annually, but even his promises couldn’t help him and his drowning party.

With Lok Sabha elections, the result of Vidhan Sabha elections of four states will also be declared today and the counting is still going on. Odisha has a total of 147 state assembly seats and according to earlier trends today Naveen Patnaik of Biju Janata Dal is in lead. In 2014, BJD won with a majority of 117 seats and Naveen became the CM of Odisha for the fourth time.
If BJD comes to power again Naveen will become Chief Minister of Odisha for the fifth time. Naveen will be the third CM to sit in the same office for 20 continuous years. Pawan Kumar Chamling is India’s first CM who has held the office for five times (25 years) since 1994. The former Chief Minister of West Bengal Jyoti Basu held the office for 23 years and belonged to Communist Party of India.
Naveen Patnaik’s political career is equally interesting. After his father’s death, Patnaik entered into the world of politics and formed a party in 1997 after his father’s name Biju Janata Dal.
In 1997 Patnaik aligned with BJP and formed the government. BJD’s agenda was to eradicate corruption and poverty. It was the reason he got support from his people.
