Salman Khan starrer “Bharat” is going to release on 5th June, 2019, and the fans of the actor are already going gaga over the trailer of the movie. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the flick also stars Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and others.
Katrina may have impressed many people in the trailer but the fact is that earlier, Priyanka Chopra was signed for the role of Kumud but she left the movie due to some of her personal commitments and later the role went to Katrina.
Recently in an interview, Katrina opens up about replacing Priyanka and bagging “Bharat”. According to her, she knows that she has not been the first choice of the makers but she is very happy for doing this role. After reading the script, she wanted to engross herself completely in this role. Moreover, now she hopes that she gets to play more strong characters like this.
Talking about her rapport with Atul Agnihotri, the producer of “Bharat”, she says that he is very supportive of her and has always wanted her in the movie, which actually happened. Katrina also adds that even though she shares a good chemistry with Salman, , she knew that she had to maintain some distance with him when she started working in the film in order to bring a feel in the character.
She used to have lunch and chit-chat with Salman on the sets in previous movies but this time, she wanted it to look as if Bharat and Kumud were meeting for the first time and for this purpose, she didn’t behave like she used to do during the shooting of other flicks.
After “Bharat”, Katrina will be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer “Sooryavanshi” which is being directed by Rohit Shetty.

Mohammed Shami, the Indian cricketer who is presently playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), is doing well in the IPL and has also been named in the squad for the World Cup 2019.
However, his life came to a standstill last year when his wife Hasin Jahan filed a complaint against him and his family, alleging that he used to beat her and was having an extra-marital affair. Not only this, she went on to say that Shami was planning to take her life.
The good part is that Mohammed Shami’s cricketing career remained unaffected even after all these controversies and eventually, he moved on by overcoming the problems of his personal life.
But it seems that Hasin Jahan has not been able to move on in life since then as on Sunday late night, she forcefully entered Shami’s house in Amroha and started arguing with his parents.
According to the reports, she went with her daughter Bebo and created a scene over there. Finally, Shami’s parents called the police and Hasin was taken into custody under the Section 151.
The Section 151 empowers the police to arrest anyone for 24 hours without a warrant. However, Hasin denied all the charges and claimed that she was arrested because of the celebrity status of Mohammed Shami.
Well, we feel that Hasin should keep this family saga wrapped until Shami returns from the World Cup otherwise it may affect his performance. What do you say?

Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra group, is pretty active on social media and keeps on posting updates about his professional and personal lives on a regular basis. Recently he stumbled upon a piece of news from abroad as per which a husband faked being dumb and deaf for 62 years so that he could avoid listening to his wife.
Anand Mahindra not only shared this article but also talked about his wife’s smartness and told how her smartness is detrimental to him.
He said that he laughed for five minutes after reading this article and then he asked his wife whether he could have fooled her like this. To this, her reply was bang on and made him realise that he is married to a pretty smart woman.

R Ashwin, skipper of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), had kickstarted a controversy when he Mankaded Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman Jos Buttler in an IPL match. While many including former cricketers slammed him, there were few who supported him as what he did was within the law. However, taking a wicket like this is considered against the spirit of the game.
Nevertheless, things turned a little ugly when KXIP played against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 24. RCB skipper Virat Kohli is quite passionate and aggressive on the ground and the manner in which he reacted after Ashwin’s catch, everyone felt as if he was taunting Ashwin for mankading. Ashwin also expressed his annoyance by throwing his gloves in the dugout.
Batting first, RCB gave a target of 203 to KXIP; the latter also tried hard but was left with 27 runs to win in the last over. Ashwin hit a sixer on the first ball of Umesh Yadav but on the second ball, he got out as Virat took his catch. It was then that Virat showed a gesture as if he was taking a dig at the spinner.
It seems that both the cricketers have left behind the incident and are busy thinking about their upcoming matches but the official Twitter account of KXIP was not able to forget it and now it has awarded Kohli with “Kuch Bhi Award”.
KXIP tweeted, “Virat Kohli’s gesture after taking our skipper Ashwin’s catch has earned himself a Kuch Bhi Award from us.”
The official Twitter account of RCB also reacted and responded with “Kuch bhi”.

Avengers: Endgame witnessed a magnificent weekend in the box office as it collected around 157 crore nett plus and 187 crores gross Boc in its first weekend in India. The collections of the movie were consistent. Endgame has destroyed every possible past record of Hindi films in the Box office also broke the record of 119 crore nett in 3 days by Sanju.
Endgame is only behind the three-day collection figures of Bahubali – The Conclusion.
Avengers film Infinity War earned 94 crore nett in its first three days last year. This year Endgame has collected double the money approximately 67% higher than previous avengers release even after releasing in lesser number of multiplexes. It is also a record for any Hollywood film which has been surpassed by leaps and bounds.
As the Lok Sabha election is going on in the country many theatres haven’t released the movie yet. In Mumbai, the movie is doing tremendously well and a huge part of the collection is from the city of dreams itself. On 29th April many cinemas and multiplexes will open in the late hours due to the Lok Sabha election.
Collections can be affected on Monday due to the election. Well, I believe the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans won’t miss the movie at any cost and they’ll find their way to the multiplexes to watch the end series of the 22nd film of Marvel.

The IPL match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which was played yesterday at Eden Gardens will be remembered for a long time, especially for the innings played by Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya. Batting first, KKR put up a mammoth total of 232/2 on the board with the help of Andre Russell’s knock of 80* and Shubman Gill’s innings of 76 runs.
The Mumbai Indians didn’t have a good start as their opener Quinton de Kock went for duck and the other opener and skipper Rohit Sharma could manage only 12 runs before getting lbw out to Harry Gurney.
However, Rohit was not convinced with the on-field umpire’s decision so he opted for DRS but unfortunately for MI, the decision was upheld and Rohit Sharma was given out. Before walking to the dugout, the MI skipper was obviously not in a good mood. He hit the stumps with his bat at the non-striker’s end which resulted in dropping of bails and he also talked to the umpire for a brief time.
It was considered as a breach of the Code of Conduct and Rohit was booked under Level 1 of 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct for which he was fined 15 percent of the match fee.
IPL made a statement in which it said that Rohit Sharma has accepted the sanction. Mumbai lost the match by 34 runs despite Hardik Pandya’s blistering knock of 91 for which he played only 34 balls.
The teams are playing hard to enter the playoffs and as of now, only CSK has confirmed its place in the knockout stage.
