Presently, India is celebrating the biggest festival of democracy which is the Lok Sabha elections 2019 and while it is being touted as Modi vs the rest, the Congress party is leaving no stone unturned in making their party President Rahul Gandhi a favorite contender for the post of PM.
Rahul Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who is the party general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh is also conducting public rallies and telling people what Congress is going to offer them if they come into power. However, it seems that she needs some more practice in addressing the public as on Monday, she fumbled while addressing a public rally in Fatehpur Sikri.
While talking about the promises made in Congress manifesto, she said that there are many schemes which will provide “free health” to all. Although she realised her mistake and corrected it by saying “free health services” with a laugh, the damage was already done.

The biggest event of the cricketing world. ICC World Cup 2019 12th edition is scheduled to commence from 30th May in Wales, England. India will be starting off their world cup campaign on 5th June against South Africa.
The Board of Cricket Council for India has officially announced the World cup squad. The chairman of the cricket council selection committee MSK Prasad addressed the press conference and announced the top 15 world cup squad. Virat Kohli will be leading the team for the first time in the humongous cricketing event.
Expected names are visible in the squad but amidst all the consideration about the form of Ambati Rayadu, he hasn’t been selected for the mega event for lack of form.
India’s squad for World Cup 2019 are Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma (VC), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (WK), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, Kuldeep Yadav, Dinesh Kartik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Md. The men in blue are moving forward to England with a matured and strong team. The team is power pact with Hardik Pandya, Ravinder Jadeja and Vijay Shankar as all-rounders of the team, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd. Shami as the pace trio, Spinner duo Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal who can make anyone stumble. Kedhar Jadhav, when needed, will roll his arms. The batting and bowling attack is strong.
Rishab Pant was almost in the team but missed out a bit cause of wicketing skills and was replaced by Dinesh Karthik.

There is considerable rise in the number of people who now prefer to do online shopping rather than visiting the market for purchasing the things that they require. However, with the increase in the trend of online shopping, there is also an increase in the instances of people becoming the target of online frauds.

Recently, a Delhi businessman got cheated by an online scammer and lost Rs 2.5 lakh of his hard-earned income. The victim was going through an e-commerce website looking for furniture for his office and then he came across a seller who was offering a great deal.
He decided to contact the seller who told him that he was a retired defense officer and was ready to sell the products at a very low rate in comparison to the other sellers but he was in a hurry to get the payment.
When the businessman agreed to the deal, he received a message in which phrases like “Add UPI Money”, “Successful Money Transfer”, etc. were included along with the link of a website.

As the victim clicked on the link, his mobile phone was hacked and accessed by the fraudster after which he was able to not only see his messages and photos but also make banking transactions. The businessman became a victim of online scam and the fraudster robbed him of Rs 2.5 lakhs.
The police has asked people not to click any links that they receive in SMS, especially if they come with any e-commerce offer.

Every year, a huge number of candidates try their luck in Indian Civil Services Examinations but only few are able to make their dream come true. However under no circumstances, a person should fake it if he is not able to make it.
Recently, Siddharth Gautam, a citizen from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur, decided to fake his selection in IAS examinations after the results were declared. Siddharth runs a computer centre and he created a fake allotment letter from UPSC which certified his selection. Nevertheless, the fake letter had details of an IAS officer who has the same name as the fraudster and secured 532nd rank.
As the news of Siddharth’s selection spread in the locality, neighbors, relatives and many other people started coming to meet and congratulate him. His achievement was noted down by numerous local and regional newspapers as well and he was invited for felicitation at various ceremonies. It was indeed a big feat for someone whose father is a mason and has struggled a lot in his life.
However, when the real person read one of such interviews, he filed a complaint with the Meerut police. The complainant is presently employed as Indian Railway Accounts Services (IRAS) officer, he cleared the Civil Services Examinations in 2016, 2017 and then in 2018 again in which he secured 532nd rank.
After the investigation was conducted, the police found out that Siddharth Gautam had been faking his selection. Subsequently, he was arrested from his home and brought to Meerut.

The fraudster has been booked under the charges of cheating but was released later. His father was not able to bear it all and suffered a heart-attack after which he was admitted in a local hospital.
The man might have got momentary fame with his act but in the long run, it only harmed his image and his father’s health. We request our readers not to indulge in such shameful activities that will only lead to disaster.
